My friend and I found this place accidentally about 8 months ago. In one of those FL strip malls...would never have guessed we would find such a cute, cozy environment where we would get delicious freshly made Italian food. Now, when we get together we ask, "shall we go to our favorite place?" And, we head back to Citrola’s . I must add, it is a bit of a ride for us, but worth it!
All the staff are welcoming and friendly, we love the atmosphere and adore the food! All food freshly made! Recently we arrived about an hour before their posted open time. We were so disappointed, however, they so kindly let us in...we had some vino and ordered a pizza. All delicious. Everyone welcoming even though we were there too early. Thank you, Citrola's...we love you!

We seldom are in this section of Fort Myers, so we don't have the chance to partake in what we consider the best pizza in town. We drove the extra distance for lunch on this visit.
At a lunch stop in the middle of the afternoon, we were the only guests in the venue when we arrived. We ordered a large pizza. The service was its usual excellent, the pizza came out quick, and the flavor, well, it's hard to describe when it's this good. Most pizza restaurants find it difficult to get the right blend of flavors of the crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings to come together to make the pizza have only one blended taste. Citrola's does this consistently every time we are there. Usually, there is no way my wife and I will put down an entire 16" pie, but this one tasted so good, we couldn't stop eating until it was gone.
My only regret is that we live so far away to not be able to get this pizza more often.

Small hard to find restaurant in a small commercial strip building, Our meals of veal marsala and lobster ravioli were tasty and plentiful. The warm bread was a great starter. Efficient and friendly service, Highly recommend!

Would go here for lunch occasionally not crowded service and food okay don’t bother going for dinner if it’s crowded. Service is slow to nonexistent and the food quality is marginal at best. Took over 25 minutes for my Stromboli to show up and it wasn’t even lukewarm. Nice of them to take it off my bill

I ordered a slice to dine in when it arrived it was dried up old and barely lukewarm it should never have been served! My husband really wanted pizza and I didn't want to make him stop so against my better judgment I ordered a pie to go. Let's start out with the sauce it was just Bland not a speck of a oregano other seasonings to be seen look like it came straight from the can. I'm here to tell you that was not New York style crust there was not an air bubble to be seen it was not crispy it was pale listless and just sad looking far too regular around and also they were screen marks on the bottom which is an absolute deal breaker there was no crunch or crispiness whatsoever to the crust. So between being served a crappy piece to start with and then taking home a subpar pie I will never be back. And this used to be one of my top three pizza places I lost track of it for a while and sorry I found it again I would have been just as fine with a frozen pie seriously disappointing I don't understand what happened here starting with being served a crappy slice.

My wife and I enjoyed this quaint and cozy feeling restaurant. If you are looking for something other than seafood in SWFL this is a great place. The bruschetta appetizer was great and the NY style pizza came out hot and delicious.

We dined in 3 times and had take out 3 times during our month-long stay in Ft. Myers. 3 other family members joined us for 1 dinner, and they too agreed that the food, prices, and service was excellent! Orders included eggplant parmigiana, linguini with clams, chicken marsala, lobster ravioli, chicken parmigiana, pizza. Don't miss this small, cozy restaurant on College Parkway in Ft. Myers.

We stopped in because it was close to Laugh In Comedy Cafe and only had 45 minutes until Showtime ... they knocked it out of the park! 20 minutes food to table and the quality was excellent. Gnocci with pesto and their deluxe abeetz was scrumptious even though they lose power 3 times. Will be a destination for us next visit because the food and superior service.

I love pizza...but this place took the cake. I just want to tell you all how good the pizza was😁 first it was hot next it was fresh and the taste from the oven just set it off 🥰 the cheese was real and that's important on my pizza 😂😂 I live 40 minutes away and I plan on driving all the way across town just for this pizza😊

Small quaint place. Great friendly service. Good food at a good price. Salad had good amount of dressing but not to the point it was soupy. Ate so much had to skip dessert. Will be returning when I'm in the area

Pizza had great flavor and loved the crust but was light on the toppings. It might be a simple difference between midwestern Chicago style and their New York style. Hint: order extra cheese to compensate!

We had been there late last year and the food was not great but good. This latest visit will be our last. The bolognese sauce was barely edible; it tasted worse than any other I have had. The sausage was not worth eating. The house white gave me an upset stomach. The waitress was very good but the most important thing is the food. BTW the bill was very expensive considering the third rate quality of the food.

I often order from this amazing restaurant unsigned a food delivery service and I will say I have never experienced a more consistently delicious place to eat. I have had a wide variety of their menu and everything I’ve had here is amazing, from seafoods, pasta, chicken dishes and their white pizza is specifically my favorite pizza from any restaurant. Their carrot cake is also amazing, and from what I can tell all their dishes (including their sauces which is very important) is made in house. The interior of the restaurant is very homey and comfortable. Their staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you’re in a small town restaurant being served by friends. I can’t say enough good things about this place, defiantly one of my favorite restaurants of all time.

Wow!!!
We stumbled across this amazing cozy Italian restaurant . Greeted by Nichole and she was amazing from start to finish. We are from Ct and would eat in NYC a lot and honestly the food at Citrola's is a step above! Hot fresh bread to go along with your soup was such a treat.
Chicken francese was perfectly done. I will be a weekly customer at this restaurant!

Citrola’s never disappoints! There were six of us and we all enjoyed our meal. The service staff were professional , knowledgeable and attentive. The homemade bread was t wonderful and the server offered to bring more. We all had Caesar salad which had a homemade dressing, delicious! Kudos to the chef Juan. The clams & shrimp over linguini was excellent and I could have eaten the sauce with my spoon it was so flavourful. You must try the Zeppolis for dessert. Enjoy!
