Busters Sports Tavern & Family Eatery is a very popular place to eat and drink during the busy winter season when Fort Myers is inundated by all the snowbirds. Our party of 4 arrived around 6 pm on a Friday night to a full parking lot. After waiting for a few minutes for a parking spot, we then waited 45 minutes before we were finally seated.
A big attraction is their popular daily specials. Check the Busters website for these daily specials as there is a different special each day. On this day (Friday) it was “All You Can Eat Shrimp” (fried, grilled or blackened) which three of us ordered while the fourth person ordered Homemade Lasagna which was served with a house salad and garlic bread. The menu is extensive with both land and sea dinners. The Florida Grouper is another popular choice. The food we ordered tasted very good and there was lots of it.
However, with so many people, the noise level was very high making it sometimes difficult to carry conversations. Even trying to communicate with our server was a challenge and got the order mixed up a little. There was also live music but it was barely audible about the noise of the crowd.

Had a great meal. Jane was our server and was fantastic. Right on top of taking care of us and made great suggestions on the menu. We enjoyed the Sunday steak special, turkey dinner with yummy stuffing and fish sandwich. All were huge portions and delicious. We will be back for more!

Family loved the all you can eat shrimp... my coconut shrimp was good... really cheese grilled cheese.
Service was ok tonight.. not as good as other times we have been . It seemed like they were severely understaffed which impacted our server's mood and service. This has not been our experience in the past.

As local I have eaten here on several occasions I really like their food, but their customer service is awful and the staff is rude pretty much every time we have gone in there it’s a unpleasant experience because the staff.
Me and girlfriend talk about eating here a lot but decline most of the time because of our past experiences with staff.
One occasion we tried to get take out I called the women who answered the phone I told her I wanted to place a order for pick up she rudely said, “we are out of Lobster” I said, that was fine we didn’t want Lobster and then she hung up on me.We went in another time and the waitress over charged us for our drinks and when we said something about it she got very rude and nasty and tried to argue with us about what drinks we had order.
We tried another time and the bartender was very unfriendly. I order food and waited and waited and it never came out.So we ask about and she said”oh I forgot to put it in”and the meal came with other sides that were not advertised and she never said anything about being out of those sides so instead she just served me my meal with sides I never asked for.
On many occasions we have called for take out and they never answer the phone.
It’s real a shame because they have great food and have awesome nightly specials but the service is so bad I think we are done even attempting to eat there anymore.They get a two because of the food.

Could not believe a 1 pound Sirloin Steak Dinner with salad, sautéed mushrooms, onion rings, baked potatoe & veggie all for $11.99. What a deal for their Saturday and Sunday weekly special. The rest of the menu is huge and all at great prices. I bet this place is packed all the time.

The music is so loud that you can't have any conversations with people and the food is not all that good anymore. The sirloin special is horrible grisly meat the last 2 times we've ordered it. Pizza oven has been down and they said it was working on Monday and then after a friend ordered pizza it took for ever to get and then it was NOT 1/2 price!! The live music should be put outside on the covered patio area.

Everyone that comments on our sirloin steak dinner loves it. Perhaps you requested your too well done. We are a sports bar with live music daily. Our bar area is seperated from the "dining room". Sitting away from the music is a less loud experience.

I like chicken wings. I got them tonight at Busters. The breaded wings had a nice crunch but no flavor. The naked wings with mild sauce had skin that was not crunchy. Who likes wings or any fried chicken that has slimy skins? And the blue cheese dressing that comes with it is runny and room temp. I like my blue cheese dressing thick and cold. C’mon Busters I think you can do better.

We have been going on their pizza special nights for about 3 seasons and have always had great pizza. You can order by phone, or go in and order and either do carry out or eat in. Very friendly staff, is clean inside. There is a bar but since we aren't drinkers I can't review that part except to say it is pretty busy most of the times we've been there. The past several times we have just done carry out but I wouldn't have a problem eating in either. The staff are very hospitable and give good service. While usually we do carry out, I have watched how the patrons were served and the staff have done a very good job I think.

We live on Fort Myers Beach and to be honest with the 50 or so restaurants, only a handful are worth visiting. Since it’s off-season we’ve been venturing out and stumbled upon this place. It’s a nice change from the tiki bars and fish only restaurants and is extremely laid back. It definitely is a locals place as we visited twice in one week and it seemed the same group was there, however they didn’t give you the vibe that you weren’t welcome because you weren’t one of them. First time we had Ryan who was super nice and welcoming and the second time we had Myra. She took a little bit to get a smile out of her but she was very nice too. We are always looking for lunch spots that have a simple “half sandwich, cup of soup” special and this place does and it was filling, delicious and greatly priced. Would definitely recommend.

Busters is a great restaurant if you want to eat where the locals eat. Large portions friendly staff great prices. It may get loud but the entertainment is good. As a local I love it. If I was visiting I would want to know about this restaurant

We decided to go out a little later than usual and decided to give Busters a try. In the last couple years I have stopped for drinks but never dinner. First sign we ran into was a sign that we see at a lot of places saying they are short staffed. We talked to the hostess and she added that she could sit us but couldn’t promise anyone to wait on us. They were very busy. We took the table and were waited on right away by a great server (wish I could remember her name). She was frazzled, super busy but was great to us. The family had meatloaf, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders and nachos. All came out quickly and were very well prepared. All meals were very good and we decided to have dessert with the chocolate cake, pecan pie and salted Carmel Ice Cream. It really was a great experience and we will be back.

I am saddened to write a review about my most frequented bar, but after my last visit I decided to write my first ever review. I probably go to busters once or twice a week and love the atmosphere but andre the bartender there is absolutely horrible. He seems to think he is running a Miami nightclub as this last time I visited he was extremely disrespectful to all the friends I brought and even laid a hand on my sister. I have never been angry enough to write a review but after being disrespected in a place that I casual go to It only felt right. This kind of service should never be necessary in a small dive bar like busters. I understand being strict on running a tight bar but no rules were broken and he was unnecessarily rude. I am writing this review for the busters staff in hopes that they will take a better look at who the have employed.

Tonight my husband picked up our order. The chicken tenders, fried onions were great. However, the fr fries (bland), onion soup (just ok), and (FRESH) lobster was so old that it actually had 2 barnacles on it's shell! It was extremely hard to crack and it was very difficult to get the meat out. The "butter" was tasteless yellow greasy stuff, definitely not butter!!! The meat was tough and had no taste. It didn't even smell like lobster should! The Manager was absolutely no help or no offer to reimburse us. We will definitely NOT return to Buster's.

Stopped here 3 times during a monthly visit. First two times we were greeted by bartender, Gina, she was pleasant and hard worker. Not only served bar but several nearby tables. Was a great ambassador for business and gave us history of owners and local clientele. Food was always of the highest quality of bR type food. Our last visit was a different bartender and noticed different staff in kitchen. This visit did not have that friendly feeling of previous visits. Food was still same quality. There pizza is excellent for any location in nation but exceptional for Southwest Florida. Will be back.

What a great place. I love the Atmosphere and all the staff. The manager lupe always making sure everything is running smoothly and making sure we had everything we need for our dinner, had the sirloin special. Was cooked perfect temperature and the speed of the kitchen always impressed me for how busy they get Sunday football game and food don’t take long. I will always recommend this place for a great dinner plus football game and beer.
