We sat outside, it was a beautiful night! A friend had recommended and great trip advisor reviews so we decided to check it out. So glad we did ! Owner goes around makes sure everyone happy and taken care of. The food is fantastic. And...wait til you see the dessert selection tray - wow - I think there were about 15 samples on the tray to choose from ! Go and treat yourself here !More

Amazing night. Fabulous food from the mussels (my friends carried home the leftover broth!) and empanadas to the oxtail, paella and churasco, and yep! We caved and tried the rum cake and key lime pie too! The owner’s warm greeting and attention to our experience...took the evening over the top. Our waiter was attentive and excellent. Don’t miss the mojitos. The house Cabernet by the glass was very good. We loved the atmosphere with a rose on the table and a candle in the wine bottle. The atmosphere of the entire restaurant was relaxing and enjoyable. Mario and his team are obviously committed to providing an incredibly enjoyable and satisfying customer experience. Don’t miss this place!More

My brother and I went here for a late lunch and it was delicious! The mojitos were absolutely delicious and the empanadas were amazing. It was my first time having Cuban food and I truly enjoyed it. The serving sizes are large and worth every...penny!More

We had a reservation for a large party. When we arrived our table was not ready and we had to wait. That's the only negative experience that we had. The service was friendly and fun. The food was delicious, and we were given a discount...on our meal and a Mojito at no charge which was also delicious. We tried many different entrees. The favourites were the roast pork, and the Vaca Frita. The Cuban coffee at the end of the meal was also perfect.More

We had dinner out with friends and decided on Mario’s. Wow! What an awesome choice. Bring an appetite as the portions are large and drinks are plenty.

Absolutely horrendous, me and my girlfriend came here for Valentine’s Day and it was THE worst experience ever. We had reservations and arrived on time. Their was several people waiting also with reservations, their was no host, and no one ever acknowledged us after waiting...50 minutes past reservation time. I heard from other couples that were there they were waiting up to 2hrs and even after they got seated waiting almost an hr for their waiter to show up. At this point me and my girlfriend had enough and left after waiting an hr without even being acknowledged! We had to order Grubhub for dinner and eat at home. Do not waste your time at this place, ruined our Valentine’s Day out! Also to make matters worse everyone was packed together like sardines, every table was filled with at most 1 foot of distance in between everyone.More

My husband and I visited here when we were still engaged in 2013. It was recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel. We enjoyed it thoroughly. We still fondly look back at how we were greeted and the delicious meal we had here....Fast forward 8 years...My sister and I decided to book a surprise trip to Fort Lauderdale for our mom for her Christmas gift. I made us a reservation at Mario's, remembering my past visit. This is always nerve wracking for me - I remember a really great meal, but now I've been talking about this place and I want it to be as good as I remember. Let me tell you, friend: IT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN I REMEMBERED! We were greeted like we were regulars - we were sat promptly and ordered mojitos (one virgin for my sister who is expecting) and then ordered our meal, which we had planned to share a few different dishes. They brought out a third entree ON THE HOUSE and even gave us another round of drinks ON THE HOUSE and even remembered one of them was a virgin drink. THE SERVICE CANNOT BE BEAT. But the food . . . ohhhh the food. We had the croquettes, the empenadas, the grilled grouper and the Argentinian steak and shrimp. Everything was superb. Having lived in Spain, I consider myself a good judge of Catalan cuisine - and this is just the best I've had outside of Madrid. You should not miss Mario.More

We were in Fort Lauderdale for my birthday and I wanted Cuban food. I called the day before to secure a reservation and I spoke to Mario. When we showed up, the place was just lovely, we were warmly greeted, and promptly seated. The ambiance...was just beautiful. The staff was so friendly and the food was excellent. I wished I could have dined there a few more times before leaving back home. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will go back if I am ever in Fort Lauderdale again. Thank you Mario for your hospitality.More

Mario will probably have a regular menu on Christmas Eve. Probably it's best to call the restaurant. RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST!!
