We have eaten there several times over the years. We especially like the steak, breaded pork chops and the grilled pork loin. I also thought the paella was excellent, full of seafood in succulent rice. The prices are also very good. For about ten dollars, you get two large breaded chops with a choice of two sides. The food comes... More

Please don't miss this place! Try the ceviche and the skirt steak. The wine is amazing, the food phenomenal, the service is the best. It really is our most favourite restaurant in south Florida now.

The food is generally good but the portions and prices are a little steep for a Latin restaurant. The service was fine and the place does get crowded for lunch.

We ordered a wide range of dishes. All were flavorful with good portions. The dinner salad served two. At the price, their paella was one of the best I have had. I don't normally try it my first time at a restaurant but others in our party had. Maybe a tad underspiced, but still remarkable. Staff was eager to please.... More

I'll be short and sweet! The bread and homemade garlic dipping sauce was so good! (Don't fill up too quick) The ceviche was packed with flavor along w a hardy helping of fresh shrimp and fish. Yucca was crispy Not greasy! Mom's steak fajitas were off the chain and my Hubby's Cuban sandwich was delicious! ASK for the HOMEMADE hot... More

Based on the reviews, we stopped in for dinner because it's so convenient to the Ft Lauderdale airport. We enjoyed the yuca frita and chicharrones to start. The Tamarindo special (steak, chicken and shrimp) was excellent and even the chicken was still juicy. But after a 30 minute wait, long enough for our friends to finish their dinner, the paella... I am 65 years old and have eaten in some of the best restaurants around the world. This wonderful cafe ranks at the top for some of the best food I have ever eaten. It takes a talented cook to prepare a meal that is heavenly delicious from the first bite of the bread brought to our table to the... More

What a find! This place is maybe 10 minutes from the airport. Awesome food-we had Cuban sandwiches, tamales and ceviche. Amazing and very generous portions. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommend!

I stopped by to see a friend who works in the vicinity and he introduced me to El Tamarindo. The atmosphere is casual and the staff were professional and attentive. I ordered the pork and onions with fried plantains. The portion was large and the food was DELICIOUS! $10!!!!! $10!!!!! What a bargain! I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch!... More
