My girlfriend and I went to Las Olas shopping during the evening. We got hungry and picked one of the restaurants on the boulevard. The restaurant offered an elegant atmosphere yet cozy. Our waiter went up and beyond the call of service and took a...special request which was off the menu due to my low sodium diet. Not only the food presentation was beautiful, the cuisine was delicious. If you are near LAS OLAS due yourself a favor and bypass all the Italians and Latino restaurants and treat yourself to something different on the strip.More

One of the only old-school places on the Boulevard....... even have nicely updated the menu. Service staff are incredible. And yeah there are a few better places to eat...... but none better to hang out on Las Olas. And hint -- no matter what they...say the burger of the day is they will make one as you would like (egg on top awesome).More

Have been going to Big City for quite some time now. Thierry is our waiter & never disappoints. Always knows what we want and has it ready when we arrive. He is always very attentive & he makes it worth it to return. The food...is excellent. My go to is the Meatballs & Ravioli. It is to die for. The specials are all good as is the Mediterranean Board. Will be returning again later this month after a show.More

You can't really go wrong at Big City Tavern. No matter how busy they are, they always seem to be able to accommodate you without a reservation. Not your typical "Pub Grub", Big City Tavern offers a wide variety of Salads, Sandwiches and Entrees. The...food is very tasty and the service is excellent.More

Funky little spot in the heart of las Olas! We reserved ahead of time and were offered the best table in the place - a quaint little booth which was private and cozy. Our server, Media, was simply outstanding. Both attentive and efficient. The burrata...salad was crazy good with warm rosemary and sea salt crusted home made bread for sopping up the oil and balsamic. Our shared mains did not disappoint - seared scallops drizzled with pesto and served on a bed of steamed spinach and the beef short rib and mashed potatoes were decadent. Good wines were available by the glass and my husband enjoyed some tasty craft beer. Too full for dessert. Can't wait to return!More

My wife and I and friends visited here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon after coming off a cruise. The place has an interesting look to it and we liked it. It is very loud so if you can get a table on the patio...that would be good. Drinks, food and service were all very good. My wife thought her cob salad was the best she ever had. I had breakfast omlet which was average. The atmosphere made it worthwhile. We would go back.More

Big City Tavern has a very lively feeling about it. The tables spill out under cover onto Las Olas Boulevard. It seems to be very popular and we were pleased that we had reserved our table through Open Table. The service is very friendly and...it has some interesting locally produced beers, some of which are very strong. All of our food was tasty although one pizza was a little undercooked in the centre. Reasonably-priced for being in the centre of Las Olas.More

We needed a restaurant close to the Broward Performing Arts Center and tried this establishment. It is not for quiet elegant dining. But it is a nice find with a friendly and efficient a staff and food well above average. The Caesars salad was not...ice cold, the Parmesan cheese was tasty and the dressing was not sharp as in most these days. One of the best salads we have had. Our mains were equally well prepared and quite tasty. I had the tuna with double veggies. The tuna was good, not great but the asparagus was top quality and beautifully prepared. My wife had the half chicken which was very nicely flavored. So would I go here again? Absolutely. Good food, fair prices, nice staff. Just bring some ear plugs or ask for the quietest spot.More

Had dinner here the other night with some friends found the food to be just okay nothing really to write home about. But The atmosphere and the openness of the bar of the restaurant is really pretty neat. A very cool interior and a nice...open patio to the street. The food was adequate but nothing exciting or out of the ordinary I had a swordfish sandwich that was completely overcooked. Great cocktails from the bar and a nice selection of beers on tap.More

Probably not necessary but no downside to reserving. Don't know how busy they are at this time of the year. Hope this helps!
