The waitstaff was friendly, backed each other up. Bread was amazing. Meal was average, but I blame that on myself, I could have been more adventurous. I'd recommend.

We got a table right away for lunch while taking a break from the Water Taxi excursion. Good food and good service. A bit noisy, but all in all a good stop. My fish sandwich was very good!
It was a Tuesday night, so the place kind of emptied out at 10pm. We ordered meatballs and crab cake which were amazing, and a side of warm focaccia bread. So yummy!! Would definitely go back.
Had a great time. Yummy Brussels sprout and meatballs as an appetizer. For meals we had salmon, a large salad, and the fried chicken sandwich. Everybody enjoyed their goodies excellent martinis with extra dirt and extra olives! Really good margaritas! Colleen was our conscientious server....Fun vibe. If you want a quiet spot this is not it.More
Rachel is the best thanks for making my drinks taste so amazing and giving my friends and I a great experience at your bar!
The burger was overcooked and dry. The fries were cold. Will not come back. Too much money for for the quality of food. Lackluster at best.
We have eaten at other restaurants along Los Olas Blvd but never Big City. Decided to stop in for early lunch. We did sit outside under their large awning. We had good service from Vinny and enjoyed his recommendation of the calamari with the marinara...type sauce. He did have drinks on the table in a timely manner. My wife had the Big City Salad which was assorted greens, sliced apples, pecans and Gorgonzola cheese. Her feeling was just OK. I had the burger with just lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. There was a sauce served on the side but not sure what it was. I ordered the burger medium rare. The server said it was medium and in reality it was medium well to well. Should have sent it back. It was tasteless and extremely dry. For the price one of the worst burgers have ever had. I upgraded the fries to the truffle fries which were ok but the seasoning was just dumped on top in a big pile. If the calamari and service had not been decent this would be a 2 rating.More
This restaurant is located in the heart of a few-block stretch of Las Olas Boulevard, with numerous restaurants. It has outdoor seating, perfect when the weather is good. The menu is varied. My dinner, chicken pad thai, was average. Beer selection was good. Service was...polite & prompt.More
We enjoyed Dinner on a Sunday evening around 8:30 pm with friends. It was very busy. I ordered a burger and they ran out of ketchup. The waiter, named Dave went across the street to get ketchup packets for me. He went way above and...beyond. It was so kind, totally made my day. The food was awesome! Ask for David as your waiter! Great place!More
Great atmospheric tavern serving a broad selection of local and international beers and a varied menu. The salads are amazing. Great service and at 20years young the oldest gal on the block. Spacious interior and sheltered outdoor seating with a good view over the street.
It does not carry the same vibe as Louie Bossi or El Camino, but you could do a lot worse than Big City. It delivers decent drinks and food without the long wait times of Las Olas. If you forgot to plan ahead with reservations,...then head to Big City. You will get a table fairly soon and the place is decentMore
Three of us had a pretty nice dinner here on a Tuesday evening, around 6. We dined outside on the patio. Lots of road noise, of course. I'd give a rating of 3.5, if allowed. Service was average. Prices for meals are a bit too...high. Decor is actually very cool inside, as is the bar. Bathrooms were ok. It wasn't busy at all, so service should have been better. We ordered a burger (good), Margarita Pizza (good) and I had Radiatore With Local Mushrooms, which is described as Parmigiano Reggiano, Golden Tomatoes, Sun-Dried Tomato Broth, Garlic, Fresh Herbs, Calabrian Chili Oil. It was unusual tasting, starting out quite tasty, especially the oil and broth. By the finish, it had lost its spark...possibly as it cooled. I'd rate it good. It is a pretty dish. Overall, I'm not sure I'd visit a 2nd time.More
I visited here a few times during my long weekend in town, the staff, food and drinks were all excellent.
Took a friend to Las Olas and mentioned I used to like Big City Tavern. I hadn't been there in about a year. We went in and luckily got two seats at the bar which I like to do. I forgot how dark it was...in there first of all. We ordered drinks and two appetizers to start. Crab cakes were ok but not lump crabmeat and bready. Coconut shrimp was slightly better.. Not bad appetizers, just not the quality I remembered. We were about to order entrees and a bottle of wine, and a couple walked in and the gentleman started vaping. I called to the bartender and said is vaping allowed inside? He said yes, it's safe. UM, no it's not. Go on line and read about a zillion articles explaining the dangers of vaping , the chemicals generated and the lung damage it causes... Not to mention I don't like the smell. So we promptly left and I took my wine and entree order down to Eddie V's, and gave them my $280 dollars instead. Big City not the place I remembered...More
Went for a snack after hoping off the Water Taxi. Loved the atmosphere but very dark. Got a great cheese plate and calamari, and a pineapple martini. All was fine and good. Would definitely go back.
