Rainbow Palace has to be the BEST Chinese food in Ft Lauderdale! A bit pricey but we’ll worth it! We will definitely go back again! The Lobster and Shrimp Dumplings are delicious, you won’t be disappointed
I’ve been coming to Fort Lauderdale for over 10 years now and living here for four and was surprised to have never heard of the rainbow Palace. Made reservations on the recommendation that it was high end Chinese food And that suggestion did live up...to its reputation. The kind of interior which you would expect in a restaurant from the 70s or 80s, and in fact it has been open for 40 years or so. Parking is a little annoying to anyone who has been to any of the shops where it’s located. Service was friendly, prices reflected that it was high end Chinese food, great menu with lots of authentic options. Great wine and cocktail menu as well. Would probably be back eventually if looking for that very particular pricey experience. If you’re thinking about it, it can definitely trusted. EnjoyMore
This was my third trip to Rainbow Palace. My friend and I started out with House Wonton Soup with Shrimp, very delicious. Next we had the Shrimp and Lobster Dumplings which were also excellent. Our main course arrived next! I ordered Duck Grand Marnier and...my friend had the Salmon Gwin Jin and we shared Chef Fried Rice with pork, chicken and shrimp. All dishes were super good and I plan on going back the end of this week. Charlotte Beasley in Boca Raton!More
6/26/2020- made a reservation early. Nobody there. Good for us. We were seated by a window . The place hasn’t change much in the last 20+ years. The only thing I noticed was they don’t wear tuxedos anymore. Eddie our sever American(hehe ) . Was...great . Told us the special from behind his mask. All were masked. Evey guest came in with them, except this one couple ( I so wanted to say something) We started with wonton soup and a spring roll . Placed on table was a homemade duck sauce and a spicy mustard. We also ordered the shrimp and lobster dumplings 4 to a order. Portions are large so we shared Seafood fried Rice plus the Crunchy Steak. Crunch is Water Chestnut Flour. No arm service, they bring it out on foot cart. Plus for our entree’s they separate and dished them for each of us. Nice touch Eddie.More
For our first outing after eight weeks of sequestration, a friend invited us to dine here for dinner. We had not visited this restaurant for years, and our excellent experience reminded us that even though its price point is higher than most Chinese style restaurants,...it is well worth it. We were very pleased that all of the staff were properly protected with face masks, and the hygiene was well in evidence. We started with sharing spring rolls, and they were the crisp on the outside, and full of a variety of vegetables on the inside. We tried the crispy duck which was very well prepared in that it remained moist yet crispy on the outside, and it was accompanied by a clearly homemade sauce. We also tried the shrimp special which contained a large number of what had to be categorized as colossal size shrimp in an excellently prepared sauce. The service was attentive, efficient, and we were made to feel very well.More
Rainbow Palace is the most expensive Asian restaurant I go to, but the food, service, and ambiance make it worthwhile. However, this time the waiter service was less than what I had experienced in the past. Thank goodness the manager personally made sure my group...was taken of.
I certainly will return to Rainbow Palace, but I will ask for a different waiter if he is still around.More
The minute you enter Rainbow Palace you leave the often chaotic energy of Ft Lauderdale behind. The service was five stars in a lovely dining room that feels like you’re stepping back in time to the Manhattan of a few decades ago. Beautifully prepared cuisine...with an atypical Chinese menu. You’ll definitely want to return!More
This restaurant is always listed as one of the top best in Fort Lauderdale. Dinner is expensive. Experience it for lunch at reasonable prices for the quality. Formal attentive service. Great old fashioned ambiance unusual for laid back Fort Lauderdale, but you do not have...to dress, although you might see business people in suits and ties even at lunch. They know the lunch deal. The food is worth it. They even have a steak which is out of this world quality and delicious, but expensive and big enough so share it.More
