This was the first time eating at a Peruvian restaurant and it was quite good. We ate the fish a lo Macho and it was great. The portion was huge and the fish was fresh. It was surprisingly good because the strip mall seemed to...be in a sketchy location and there was only one guy working as a waiter.More

We were at the Westin Fort Lauderdale and looking for something very close by. We found Cabo Blanco and were so happy we did. Portions were very large and delicious. I had mixed seafood with rice and my wife had chicken. Two meals and one...beer cost $35, plus tip. Highly recommend. I see some lower star reviews on here but our experience was great. If we lived in FLL, this would be one of our go-to places.More

The ceviche was 2/3 less than before ($14.99) No chocolo ( pennies). The papa a la huancaina ($8.99) was half of a potato with tasteless cheese sauce. Save $ go to La Granja. Very disappointing.

This wasn't my favorite Peruvian restaurant. I would say it's mediocre at best, not bad not great. None of us enjoyed the bland soup the lunch specials brought but service is crazy fast which is a plus if you need to go back to work....However, if you order something make sure it's what you want as they don't let you change or do substitutions. I ordered the steak lomo and literally a minute later called waitress and said I prefer the chicken lomo and she said no I already put the order and food comes out fast so we can't change, I didn't like that- not very accommodating to clients. Then they don't bring Canchas (toasted corn) to the table, most Peruvian restaurants bring a small tray as courtesy (similar to bread in Cuban restaurants) so I ordered it and she said it was a "small fee"...ok...it was $4! I was shocked when I saw the bill...but it won't happen again because I won't go again. Stick to Suviche or other better Peruvian restaurant.More

Nothing fancy. Plain interior. Basic tables and chairs. The lingua franca is Spanish. My waitress, from South America, could barely speak any English. I got to practice my rudimentary Spanish. Lively Latin background music. Lunch specials available seven days a week, starting at 11 AM....From that specials menu I ordered a chicken breast entrée, which came with white rice, black beans, and fried plantains. The chicken was good, but the rice and beans were boringly flavorless. The price was very reasonable. My rating is actually a 3 1/2.More

Cabo Blanco is one of my favorite restaurants and the best of the dozen or so Peruvian restaurants that have opened in the past decade. When we first went I tried all 29 lunch specials they had (no, not at one time!!) and there wasn't...a bad one in the group but there was definitely a standout dish: Camarones Saltados, about 12 sauteed shrimp with onions and tomatoes on a pasta in a dark sauce, which I think is soy based but not sure. I do know it is delicious and the price, $11.99, ridiculously low for such a meticulous made dish plus they serve a freshly made chicken soup and a side of various sauces as part of the lunch. They use to serve bread with the latter which they no longer do so I don't know what the sauces are for because the shrimp sauce is great as is! I have had this dish about 20 times and LOVE it! Afterwards I was moaning that they don't have plain vanilla ice cream which is something I like to have after a slightly spicy meal and Allen came up with a brilliant idea of going to Dairy Queen in Wilton Manors for dessert! Now that's what friends are for! He had the chocolate and I had the vanilla Blizzard!More

One of those places where you look at the menu and it is difficult to decide because everything looks so good. I had a late lunch here while staying at a nearby hotel and it was excellent. Servers very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return...again if in or near area.More

Cabo Blanco does not just serve Mexican food. It serves a variety of Hispanic foods including Cuban, Puerto Rican, and others. There is a large variety of selections on the menu. The restaurant is more of a hometown family place. It is similar to be...invited to your friend's house for dinner. The restaurant is clean and neat. There are white table and chairs set up in the restaurant. We ordered oxtails-rabo encendido-and pork chunks-masas de puerco. The black beans and rice were excellent and the maduros were good. Both were included with the entrees. The oxtails were served in a rich red sauce. There were three fairly large pieces. Unfortunately, the pork chunks were too dry, but the oxtails were excellent. The prices are reasonable. The service was very good. Cabo Blanco is a store front restaurant in a strip mall. It is located on the south side of 62nd street at the intersection with Dixie Highway.More

I like Peruvian food. I went to Cabo blanco Restaurant ( both their Ft Lauderdale and Hollywood location) few times. Most of the time I use Groupon coupon. $20 food for $11 or $12. I had their Lomo Saltado, palomila steak, Meat fried rice, chicken...noodles soup. If anyone can catch their lunch special ( 11am to 4pm), that's a lot of food with coupon for 2 people. Didn't like the soup , but the other food were good ( I very much liked it). Love their sauce. Both locations weren't that busy during lunch hour. Waitress were very attentive to the guests. Tasty....More
