We were welcomed the moment we walked through the door and seated at a big table because most tables had bench style seating or tall chairs. Our waitress arrived promptly with the entertaining menus that had great stories about how the restaurant came into being...(a bit tongue in cheek, but very cute). The concierge at Embassy Suites had recommended this restaurant to us and it was less than half a block from the hotel. I ordered a chicken quesadilla , thinking it would be something light and easy to eat. It filled the entire plate. The crust was delicate and the filling delicious - not just chicken, but also cheese. Now, I've had "authentic" Mexican quesadillas before but they were not nearly as large and well filled as this one. The waitress suggested Ginger Ale (we'd been out in the heat and I was a bit peaked), which really helped a lot. I saved part of my quesadilla for lunch the next day - it was still excellent, even cold.More

I loved Carlos and Pepe's! We were staying in the area and stopped by. Some may say it's dark inside but I thought it was cute and eccectic. The chips and salsa were great and my mango margarita was fresh and delicious. My son devoured...his tacos and I loved my beef burrito. It was the perfect find in that area of town!More

Been coming here since it opened. It used to be the place to go with a long wait and great food. Now it feels like a ghost town. Our server Kevin was awesome and had a great sense of humor. However, with the new owner/management...the food has suffered. Have always ordered the crab nachos and now they are about a third of the filling they once were and at times filled with tomatoes instead of crab. Very disappointing! Won’t be back.More

I’ve been coming in here since 1980 and it’s not as busy as it used to be used to be a line out the door and lunch and dinner was it would take an hour wait to get into place it’s a it’s different now...the foods different from eating here the other night I wasn’t real impressed I got a dinner and it wasn’t good but the appetizers are great. Service used to be outstanding and this night it was a Friday night it wasn’t busy and the service was terrible.More

Food at best was Fair, not impressed with atmosphere. The place just had a dead vibe about. Should of left after we were seated instead of staying for dinner. I definitely would not recommend. On the plus side our server was nice.

Food was excellent as usual. Delivery through Delivery Dudes. Ordered Chips with Salsa, Tamales, Tacos, Beef Chimichanga, but unfortunately they screwed up the order and we got a Chicken Burrito instead of the Chimichanga (even the carton was labeled on top Beef Chimichanga). It still...tasted good but not at all what we ordered. Attention to detail people, especially when delivery is only 1 of your 2 choices during these times.More

Chips and salsa ok. Small portions. Crazy burrito should be called old pot roast burrito because that's what it tastes like...with some horsemeat thrown in. The worst burrito I have ever had. Taco Bell offers 10 times more flavor. Spoke to the Manager and he...said he would take care of me "the next time" I came in. There won't be a next time and there was no offer of making it right when I was there.More

Carlos & Pepe’s is overpriced. $17 for a margarita and $14 for a square pizza doesn’t work for me as there are much better options down the street.
