The show was fun and the additional music by the bar was pleasant to listen. The drinks were made with real juices and the food was tasty and flavorful. I had duck which was cooked in their special oven (which was cool to see when you walk around the place) but it was okay as I've had better duck in... More

The show was nice but over priced for what it was. Food was terrible and they charge you to park and expect a tip for parking and dry towel in women's restroom.

I had booked a table for 4 five weeks out and requested a stage side table- didn't get this. We were met at the entrance by an unfriendly, surly mafioso style gentleman who needs to go to customer service school immediately. Each meal cost $47 and tasted like poor quality take out that had been kept sitting. The show was... More

We had a 8pm reservation on Valentine's Day. We pulled up to valet, which is $3 (not a problem), but was told that they were very busy and if we paid $10 that would ensure us we would get our car faster at the end of service (we did not pay this). We walked in and at 7:50 they were... More

Our visit to Mai-Kai was confusing and awkward. I booked on line and assumed it was a preset menu. The restaurant called and said the time that was offered in line was not a time if the show. No big deal there. We walked into 3-4 men dress in all white in front of a velvet rope asking is if... More

The Mai-Kai is the granddaddy of America's Polynesian Restaurants, most of which have vanished over the last few decades. 60 years old and going strong, the Mai-Kai is a MUST when visiting Ft. Lauderdale. Start in the Molokai Bar for Happy Hour, where all of their appetizers and phenomenal rum drinks are 50% off until 7pm every day! Try a... More

It was my dad's 85th and mom's 76th Birthday and I wanted to do something special for them so I planned a surprise party for them at Mai Kai. I made a reservation for a party of 17 for 4:30pm. I made sure that my family arrived prior to my parents arrival in order to totally surprise them. When I... More

We went in specifically for a drink and appetizers at the bar, not for dinner or the show. It was good fortune that we came in during happy hour which offered half-price appetizers. They were good, but greasy. I didn't dare imbibe in any of those fancy umbrella drinks, but my beer was cold and my wife's wine was good.... More

Service is awful so only book the show. I had reservations for 7pm. We waited 20 mins to be seated. Then waited for 30.mins for the waitress to take our order for appetizers and dinner. The guests who were seated later than us were all served. Our appetizers came without sauces. I had to ask for it. Then show.started at... More

I stop by for a bit every time I'm in Ft Lauderdale. Drinks a strong, food is greasy. Choose your drink wisely, you might get a surprise...like a whole pineapple, or a mystery girl to serve it to you (make her laugh). Walk around the garden, check out the decor. The show is a good time once, the food is... More

Since 1956, we have captivated people with our warmth and magical aura. The Mai-Kai authentically recreates a Polynesian Village, complete with tiki torches, a thatch roof, tropical gardens, waterfalls and museum quality artifacts. The exciting Islander Revue is performed nightly by native Polynesian dancers in colorful hand sewn costumes. The Hawaiian wedding dance will seduce you, and the Samoan Fire and Knife dance will leave you speechless. The Revue is a favorite of all ages.
The award winning cuisine includes American and Cantonese dishes, many prepared in our Chinese Ovens, and each dining room reflects a different Island of Polynesia.
The Molokai Bar is a South Seas saloon with over 51 tropical drinks and live music nightly. "Home of the Mystery Drink" served by our sarong-clad maiden, with an orchid lei. Try our House Specialties - Mai-Tai and Barrel o'Rum. Happy Hour nightly 5 - 7 pm.
Our Mai-Kai trading post and gift shop will give you a chance to bring home your favorite memories of the Mai-Kai. From Hawaiian shirts and hats to Polynesian Jewelry, everyone is sure to find something to bring home
