The only reason this place didn't get 1 star is because the service was decent and the octopus was good. Other than that, every drink and every other appetizer was awful. We got crab Rangoons that could have come from any Chinese take out, terrible lobster bisque, cold oysters Rockefeller, and whatever else was in the pupu platter that was... More

We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation and could not get a drink at the bar despite sitting there patiently for the bartender. The food was mediocre and overpriced, the decor was outdated, the show was amazing - but could barely be seen from where we were seated. Lovely view, eh?

This place has a system follow the system! Its trying to be a higher end restaurant (valet parking etc) and they include the show. First you sit down and get the drink menu (it needs a description of WHAT'S in the drink of than rum...they didn't describe what a Mai-tai was on the menu.). After your order the drink you... More

Decided to catch dinner and a show with family and friends at the Mai-Kai. We started the night with drinks and ordered our main course. I had the roast duck mai-kai, which turn out to be pretty good. I would say the food overall was average to above average for the price but if you are going to this restaurant... More

Loved the experience. Pretty pricey bill in the end, but entertainment was phenomenal and food was delicious. Must see. Wait staff was top knotch. Greeters in the front weren't quite as friendly. Be sure to check out garden in the back for great picture opportunities. Overall, glad we got to experience it.

I ate dinner here last night and was not very impressed. First, you have the option to self park or valet, but either way it's going to cost you $3. Also, the lighting is ridiculously dim. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read my menu and the waiters also needed to use one. The food was... More

Thank you for visiting the Mai-Kai and sharing your thoughts. The parking is controlled by an outside concession, and they do charge $3.00 for all parking. Mai-Kai is the last unique spot in Fort Lauderdale, celebrating it's 60th year. With a new chef, the Mai-Kai has stepped up it's game. The polynesian dancers never disappoint. They also have the best Happy Hour in town. Unfortunately, at 60 years old, the Mai-Kai is starting to show it's age. If you love the Tiki culture and kitsch of... More

Description
Since 1956, we have captivated people with our warmth and magical aura. The Mai-Kai authentically recreates a Polynesian Village, complete with tiki torches, a thatch roof, tropical gardens, waterfalls and museum quality artifacts. The exciting Islander Revue is performed nightly by native Polynesian dancers in colorful hand sewn costumes. The Hawaiian wedding dance will seduce you, and the Samoan Fire and Knife dance will leave you speechless. The Revue is a favorite of all ages.
The award winning cuisine includes American and Cantonese dishes, many prepared in our Chinese Ovens, and each dining room reflects a different Island of Polynesia.
The Molokai Bar is a South Seas saloon with over 51 tropical drinks and live music nightly. "Home of the Mystery Drink" served by our sarong-clad maiden, with an orchid lei. Try our House Specialties - Mai-Tai and Barrel o'Rum. Happy Hour nightly 5 - 7 pm.
Our Mai-Kai trading post and gift shop will give you a chance to bring home your favorite memories of the Mai-Kai. From Hawaiian shirts and hats to Polynesian Jewelry, everyone is sure to find something to bring home
