About
The concept of Zuckerello's Italian Restaurant began in November of 1989 in the mind of Adam Zucker. His desire was to operate a neighborhood restaurant and bar. It was important to him that Zuckerello's be a place where locals could come and dine in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. After 12 years, in 2001, Eli Biton joined Adam in this endeavor, and pursued the same envision for the concept of Zuckerello's Italian Restaurant. THROUGH BOTH OF THEIR EFFORTS AND THEIR WONDERFUL STAFF, ZUCKERELLO'S HAS BECOME ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR RESTAURANTS IN FT. LAUDERDALE. A FEW MEMBERS OF THE STAFF HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH ZUCKERELLO'S FOR THE PAST 32 YEARS.

I have been a regular here for about 10 years. I popped in the other day, only to find the bartender, Sonya, who had been there since I had been going, had been “let go”. Apparently, taking a few weeks over to be with her...dying mother was an issue. I and many others go for the bartender and the atmosphere she provided at the bar. I have watched the quality of the food go down and the prices go up. Happy hour is a big deal Here, as it in in most of south Florida, but the wines and well drinks have also gotten cheaper over the years. I would me more than happy to pay more for decent wine and food, but I continued to frequent the place because of the bartender, not the food or the cheap wine. I can’t support a place where the owner is heartless and the food in mediocre at best. There are many other places within walking distance that provide much better food and atmosphere.More

Fifty/fifty split on food. Bread was okay and served with what appeared to be jarred minced garlic and butter. Side salads were never served so cannot comment on those. Pasta carbonara was very good except chicken was rubbery. Eggplant parm got an A. Fettuccine Alfredo...was okay as was the sauce served with gnocchi. The gnocchi themselves a bit heavy and tough. Service was poor on a slow week night. As I mentioned, salads never served, water refills never happened and after entrees served no one came to check if everything okay. A couple people would have liked grated cheese. Repeat customers but not sure if we'll be back.More

We had take out dinner from Zuckerello's while staying in Fort Lauderdale. The chicken francese was fantastic! It was so good we returned the next night. Although we didn't dine in, the music in the restaurant was terrific. And the front manager was very personable....I recommend giving them a try.More

I’m sorry I really wanted to love I’m sorry I really wanted to move this place after reading the reviews but Everything about it except the waitress was horrible. It was very loud, the bread was definitely not homemade and hard as a rock and...the garlic oil was beyond overwhelming!!I ordered the veal francaise and being a home chef the veal was not pounded thin, overly coated and over a bed of linguini drowning a watered down, flavorless sauce. The pasta fa gioli was too salty and mediocre at best. My boyfriend had the seafood special with calamari, mussels, clams etc over linguini, again flavorless, watery sauce and he couldn’t even fake like since all the seafood was rubbery and inedible. His father had the lemon sole fish dish and he had spots that were undercooked and even raw and very bland even to his older taste buds that prefer that. I will say we enjoyed the desserts which were Tiramisu and a cannoli that were pretty good but his parents shared the key lime pie which was was extremely sweet. Overall, a very disappointing experience being they were visiting from out of town and there are so manthis place after reading the reviews but I very thing about it except the waitress was horrible. Had to dine here as it is my namesake. Did not disappoint. Good food and service. (Would have been 5/5 if we weren’t seated next to clean up station)

We always come here without a reservation and are always warmly greeted by the staff . We started with bread 🥖 and we had some wine too. I ordered chicken with grilled vegetables: asparagus, red pepper, broccoli, carrots 🥕 and my hubby had chicken breast...on a bed of mashed potatoes. Looked too bland for me .More

We went as a group of 9 for dinner at 7pm on a Saturday night with a reservation. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated right away. Really good food and a solid menu. Service was good as well.

We've been before and liked the food, however on this Thursday night the restaurant was so loud we left shortly after sitting down as the music level was so loud that there was no way to carry on any conversation.
