After seeing the reviews I was expecting a fantastic seafood restaurant and it was really just OK. Reminded me a lot of all tourist location seafood restaurants, it's tremendous and they just move people in and out as fast as they can. Plus very loud. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly even though she got... More

Once you get past the outter appearence, everything else was good.we had lunch there, the price was reasonable, the food was fantastic and our server was great.we had outside tables over looking the canal, nice atmosphere, nothing fancy but nice.Beware, there's construction and there is a road closure, they need better signage for the alternate route, but overall whenever we're in Ft Lauderdale... Had lunch today-hardly anyone there - but thats not their fault, the construction and noise is beyond bad. Great young man as waiter The food - "seafood cheyane' (sp) peel and eat shrimp with 2 clams. The clams tasted and looked like they came out of the canal. spit em out. Some of the shrimp mushy. Felt sick after. Most... More

Food was OK, but for the price range - crab market price was $48 - $51 and non crab mid to upper $20s for entrees - I would expect a few more niceties and much less noise. We ate outside and between the airplanes landing, the P.A. blasting, and mallets pounding, my ears were ringing by mid meal and didn't... More

Go for the crabs. Stone crabs and Alaskan king crab. Incredible! I had the oysters that where fantastic and my children had the fish which was quite good. Ask for an outside table. It is on top of a canal and you can see the boats that pass along. It is a great restaurant all in.. But do not expect... More

The food is good - it is a relaxed atmosphere & they specialize in crabs - so if you want a bib & a bowl of crabs & the ability to hammer them open (hammer provided) this is the place for it. Prices are what you expect but the food is worth it.

We cruise every November and friends have been telling us about this place for the last couple of years. We finally had a chance to go, what a treat! They have a van that will pick you up and bring you back to local hotels, we took advantage of this service. This place is huge and an equally huge menu,... More

The original Rustic Inn Fort Lauderdale crabhouse began as a roadhouse saloon. As time went by, our hole-in-the-wall Ft Lauderdale crabhouse grew up, keeping with the demand for steamed crabs, seafood, linguini with homemade sauces and other popular dishes.

Our World Famous Garlic Crabs are known the world over. We invite you and your family to see what the legend is all about. Enjoy waterfront dining on our dock or in our main dining room. Visit our cocktail lounge and enjoy one of our original frozen drinks.
