The original Rustic Inn was sold to Ark Restaurants and as you would expect, prices were raised across the board. The Crab Sampler is now over $50 while the Queen Snow Clusters (which you can buy for $6.99 lb at Publix on sale) cost $48 for three clusters. Overall, the food however, we had one cluster that seemed to be... More

This restaurant has been there for some 61 years and having moved to south FL in 1966 was on this visit my first along with my mother. Why did we wait so long! This place seating is rather massive. Their menu is extensive. It was hard to decide our choices so I plan to return 5 days later with a... More

I usually go to crab houses to partake of the Maryland style crabs. They were OK here but I don't mind the drive to Riggins Crab House . They are more to my taste.

The first time I went to the Rustic Inn was in the early 1970s.... Haven't found a better place for fresh seafood since. My hubby loves their ribs too. Whether stone crabs or Alaskan King crab legs I make a fool out of myself eating like King Charles. Do not dress up to eat there. Hammering away to get all... More

Garlic golden crab bucket almost $70.00. We get these buckets at least once a month but never dine in. Parking is really bad and due to long wait for seating. Love the crabs and the buttery/garlic sauce just wish they were not so expensive now.

Gatortail came in tiny nickle sized peices. I asked about recommending how to have the swordfish prepared they said blackened. When it came out the vegetables were perfect but the fish was the texture of soft bread and so salty I had to send over half of it back. I asked if I could have it replaced with some other... More

For starters, it was hard to find because of construction. When inside it was not very pleasing to the eye. It really was "rusty". Someone order conch fritters and it had a piece of hair on it. They apologized but that just made me think about what goes on in the kitchen. What I ordered was just OK. It was... More

Ok so we visited in a Thursday mid day afternoon. Not crowded at all. We ate outside and were hassled by flies. The view left somethings for be desired as we stared across at a sign advertising boat dock rentals. That's was the worst of it. The the food came! These were the best variety of crabs I ever had.... The Rustic Inn is a very large, very popular place with food that is mediocre at best. One of my favorite appetizers is fried calamari appetizer. In this case, the dish was only half-eaten among 3 people. My grilled soft-shell crab was over-cooked. The portion was small in size for the price, and even then I could not get through... More

Been going to this place for many many years. Food is great. Kinda pricey. Love banging the wooden hammers on the newspaper lined tables. Always crowded.

Description
The original Rustic Inn Fort Lauderdale crabhouse began as a roadhouse saloon. As time went by, our hole-in-the-wall Ft Lauderdale crabhouse grew up, keeping with the demand for steamed crabs, seafood, linguini with homemade sauces and other popular dishes.

Our World Famous Garlic Crabs are known the world over. We invite you and your family to see what the legend is all about. Enjoy waterfront dining on our dock or in our main dining room. Visit our cocktail lounge and enjoy one of our original frozen drinks.
