This restaurant epitomizes the Ft. Lauderdale scene. Good food combines with extraordinarily great views of the Intracoastal Waterway.

We sat downstairs in the open air area. Much less formal than upstairs. We basically ordered appetizers and softdrinks... it was around lunch time. The conch fritters were good. I don't remember the rest of what we ate really... not that exciting. It was pretty sparse, not many people there when we were there... but we still found ourselves waiting... More

On my last visit to Lauderdale we ate downstairs and had the best fish dip in the area in my opinion. Also had my usual Marina Salad which is always great. What was different about this trip is that I came back to try the upstairs menu, which I had never done before. I had a special they had that... More

Nice waterfront atmosphere, just average food. Ordered Mahi Tacos, fish spread, crab and duck appetizers, nothing special but the company I arrived with.

Saw this place in an ad and decided to try it. It's right on the water and you can watch boats go by as you eat. Great service and super food. Ordered the peel and eat shrimp as an appetizer and that could have been the meal! I have never gotten so many nice sized shrimp anywhere I've ordered this... More

First of all they have actually 2 restaurants. One Casual Dock Side and one Upstairs that is more fine dining. We opted for the Dockside experience as you can order from both menus there. Upstairs you cannot. We had the Conch Fritters which were GREAT! I had the 3lb Whole Maine Lobster and it was delicious! Wait Staff was attentive... More

Last night we ate upstairs. Excellent service, leisurely meal and bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary. We had baby heirloom tomatoes and barrata, crab cakes and shrimp & grits. We topped off our meal by sharing the Argentine Shrimp. All were excellent. We ate every bite. We went back for lunch today and ate downstairs (less formal) and had... More

Based on the reviews on Trip Advisor, I picked this restaurant expecting to have a decent meal in a unique setting. We arrived about 5:00 on a Friday and fed the giant fish by the restaurant before grabbing a table for six outside. We couldn't decide between six appetizers, so we got them all. Alligator Bites and the Crab Claws... More

This restaurant has finer dining upstairs and a nice dockside restaurant and bar on the main level. We visited the restaurant on the main level twice in 1 week and it was busy both times for dinner (recommend reservations on either level but we did not have one). We were 4 ladies for dinner both times, got pushed to a... More

Description
Voted "Best Seafood Restaurant", "Best Waterfront Restaurant" and "Best Restaurant to take your parents" in South Florida by a Sun-Sentinel readers poll in 2013. Legendary Local Dining Landmark and Marina. Casual dining with fresh seafood. DockSide Cafe, offers live music on weekends, while watching the daily feeding of Giant Silver Tarpons at our docks. Incredibly creative dining upstairs in a historic setting of early Fort Lauderdale and the marina, a "hush-hush" naval research facility in WW II. Complimentary valet parking and dock for your boat. You simply will not find better views in South Florida, with hundreds of boats navigating the waterways.
