My husband is a foodie and he can cook up a dinner that is equivalent to 5 star dining. It is always hard to surprise him and find something that impresses him. This chef nailed it, we did the chefs table and "dined in the TOTAL dark. " We were in our own room and had to eat with our... More

Our uber driver had a little trouble finding the place-- but it was worth it. Such a lovely meal. Our waiter was super friendly and right on with recommendations. Had an unusual beer, an app with lots of flavor and a "tasting" portion-- which was just right for me. Good coffee too. Creme brûlée needed a shallower dish.

With a guest we had an excellent meal and a very pleasant evening. This was a quiet setting. Our waitress was helpful. The menu was interesting and exciting. We started with the charcuterie plate we all thought was special. We had duck, steak, and shrimp in the half portions from the entrees and each was considered excellent and a nice... More

Really great and creative food along with a superb wine list by the glass gets even better when it's half price at happy hour. Kimmie and Parker are both characters behind the bar- they keep us coming back!

The food here was excellent. There were 3 of us and we shared 1 appetizer then each had a smaller portioned entrée. This left room for us to share dessert. For those who are adventurous, they have a dark room meal (need to book in advance), where the menu is preset and you eat in a pitch dark room. Very... More

We've lived in Ft Lauderdale for a few years and never noticed this restaurant -- although I've driven by many time. It is somewhat hidden in a somewhat odd but very safe and accessible location -- but your have to be looking for it. This is close to 5 star dining, very close. Food was excellent, service was very good,... More

We were at the Boat Show @ the Convention Center next door. WE saw Market 17 and decided to give it a try. Great decision. We started with a cocktail, then ordered the housemade charcuterie, which is a cheese, meat, olive appetizer made specific for your taste as the chef came out to tell us our options. Very fresh,& unique.... More

Another wonderful dining experience with class. My wife got the swordfish entrée. I went with the chicken breast entrée. Both were so delicious. This is our favorite restaurant in south Florida.

When you go in it was a pretty cool looking place. The vibe was good and it was good lighting, a little on the darker side. My friend and I sat at the bar, Beata was our bartender. She was very nice to talk to, seemed kind and anyway we had fun in that regard. The menu looked good. I... More

Recommended by chef Matthew McCurry we headed to Market 17 for dinner. A very enjoyable experience. Upmarket restaurant, extremely well decorated, and exceptionally good food. Spicy Korean Chilli Grassfed Beef Tartare, Market Ceviche, and Seared Rare Togorashi Wahoo. Presentation, flavours, and textures ticked every box. Variety on the the menu made it difficult to choose, but selections made were thoroughly... More

Description
Market 17 is proud to be serving delicious, creative dishes that are literally from the farm right to the tables of our diners. We call this "wine country cuisine" because the emphasis is on fresh, clean food from top purveyors along with an abundant wine list.

For the more adventurous diner, Market 17 offers 'dining in the dark'. It is our chefs table in a private room that allows a new way to experience food. Once your sight is turned off, all the other senses are heightened. It's a fun and unique experience to enjoy our food. (Due to limited seating, reservations for dining in the dark can be requested via open table notes but are not guaranteed. Please call 954.835.5507 to confirm dining in the dark reservation requests.)

Our menu will change daily and we'll always offer amazing tasting menus for you to sample what the chef has created. Come and experience for yourself what all the buzz is about!
