I can definitely appreciate a place that is simple, to the point and lets their food speak for itself. Gilbert's embodies all of those things. Walking in we were greeted by the owner, who explained to us the quality of food and ingredients that they use, as well as the favorites. She actually went through the whole menu, which was... More

We visited here for the second time, clean, quick and great tasting food, nothing bad to eat here. This time I had the portobello mushroom sandwich, oh my, such great flavor, the only suggestion I have is to peel the eggplant as I had a hard time biting into it, finally took it off. I also ordered the special kale... More

A great variety of foods. It was recommended for us to try the burgers. We had the Louisiana and the Brie. Both excellent.

The ribs were some of the best I've had. Def worth going out of your way for. The burgers were very good and had a large variety of styles. I wasn't crazy about the buns because I'm more of a brioche guy but didn't take away from the experience. Very nice staff as well

My wife and I ate there last night. Great little family owned diner. Mrs. Gilbert was very friendly and welcoming. We both order burgers and sweet potato fries. OMG! One of the best burgers I've had in a long, long time!! And the sweet potatoes are awesome, and we tried their homemade ranch to dip them in--it's a must!!

My first visit to Gilbert's was a enjoyable experience. I had the portobello and grilled vegetable sandwich with sweet potato fries. Excellent. My co-worker had the chicken sandwich and said it was excellent. Friendly and accommodating staff as well. I'll go back.

I recently discovered this gem. The staff are friendly and I appreciate the fact that the owner was on site. They have have a good selection of choices from healthy to what's been ranked the BEST BURGER in LAUDERDALE. I would agree with the ranking. I got a burger with bacon cheddar BBQ and fried onion strings. Awesome. The fries... More

Had the Domincan Burger which was a special on the chalk board. Dang. Fried Egg, Grilled Salami, spicy dressing on an huge Angus burger. Get in my belly. I saw some reviews that... More
