We ordered take out with my son and daughter-in-law. 3 different ramen bowls arrived pipping hot and were delicious. My Poke bowl was yummy. The servings were ample enough to satisfy the guys.
All were packed very well in great containers.
Definitely deserves a second visit.

It was our first time visiting the restaurant and it was quite comforting when the hostess/server offered us hand sanitizer prior to entering the restaurant. The food/menu is a conglomerate of Thai, Korean, Filipino, and Japanese food. We ordered a cuisine from each genre and was impressed on how they can maintain authenticity. They also offer bubble tea but unfortunately it was being transitioned to their cafe next door which was closed at the time.
Servers were attentive and quick. Atmosphere was family friendly.

And not just because we had no car and the virus limited restaurants to takeaway only. There are lots of restaurants open around our hotel but Kubo is so great and has such an extensive menu we could have eaten every meal here. Sushi, Korean, Japanese, Philipino, Asian fusion it's all here. Such a tiny restaurant but the food was great and very fairly priced. Service very good too iin this family run place. If I could give it six stars I would!

It's nothing really special to see or be dinning in. The atmosphere is not up beat, the waiters dont accommodate even when theirs tables available. (They will make you sit at the bar and eat instead just giving you a table to sit down and enjoy your food). With the prices you pay for their sushi and food. You expect them to be better and run smoother. But, they really dont run smooth nor accommodate at all.

So glad we found this place but sad it was on our last night in town. Small restaurant with cool decor and friendly staff. Large menu with lots of options. Our party had chicken pad thai, teriyaki chicken, a volcano roll and combo fried rice. Everyone loved their meal, large portions and good prices. Would definitely visit again when in town

I was in the neighborhood and happened to see they had boba. Their new Taiwanese milk tea with boba is AMAZING. It still tastes sweet but their homemade boba is also savory and has a great earthy texture; not overly sweet or fake feeling like a lot of boba. Their beef Pho is also wonderful! Best broth I’ve had in a long time. Service and friendliness of the staff was the absolute best part! Angel is, well, an angell. She’ll make your day right when you walk in.

We were staying close by that night to board a cruise the following day and decided to try this place it. It was beyond tasty and unique. We had a large party as well (10) and they were very accommodating. From the bao buns to the panang, to the tako Yaki and oyster bombs, there wasn't a single dish we wouldn't recommend. I will definitely return next time we are in Ft Lauderdale to try even more of this unique and tasty menu. Make sure to hit the happy hour for tasty cocktails and reduced price appetizers!!

Looking for an intimate place with delicious food at a great price? Come here. The pad Thai was large enough to share. The sashimi was fresh, too. Very cold beer. Place is small.

Date of Visit: January 4, 2023
Ordered:
(App) Pinoy Shrimp - 4/5 - Tasted good, but the shrimp has the full shell on.
(App) Soft Shell Crab Bao Bun - 4/5 - Very crispy with excellent flavor.
(App) Salmon Belly Yuzu Truffle - 5/5 - All the flavors worked well together, and the yuzu slices really tied it together.
(Main) Kaprow Lechon - 3/5 - Good flavor, the skin on the pork belly was tougher than normal.
Really good food and friendly staff. Only issue was that I explicitly asked for no onions in the kaprow lechon, but it still came with onions.
The menu is very overwhelming, in a good way. Really like how they tried to capture the best parts of all of the Asian cuisines. Also ordered the taro bubble tea, and it had better flavor than most other places I have tried in FL.

WOW - what a great surprise to find this place! As a hardcore lover of all Korean fare, I was psyched to find them so close, as any Korean places in Florida are a bit of a drive west.
What a treat! They are happily on my list of faves now though, and I look forward to my next visit!

Sushi is very good and fresh. I also had the Roman noodle bowl. Very good, nice broth. You can add and take away from what’s in it. Very very good! I highly recommend this place. It’s small but worth it.

I absolutely love ramen and Asian street food so I thought this would be perfect. I had a bulgogi bun to start and it was just ok, really not amazing. I got a pork belly ramen and hoped it would blow me away but it was mediocre at best. The broth which is really the most important part was boring. If this is the best ramen in town, that’s a shame.

While visiting Fort Lauderdale decided to try a unique Asian fusion restaurant. Kubo has a little bit of everything, sushi, ramen, Filipino and Thai.
We had lampia spring rolls which were very tasty, sisig, a Filipino specialty of sizzling pork and pig ears, and pancit, a Filipino style noodle dish.
Everything was very good and tasty. The sisig was the first thing two different waiters recommended and it seemed authentic and unique. Pigs ears aren’t not texturally for everyone but enjoyed and had great flavor.
The only down side is that the restaurant is small and service was a bit slow and haphazard. But friendly staff and the food came in due time.
The restaurant seems popular with locals as a steady stream of families and singles, door dash delivery type came in, and groups were waiting for a tables.
I recommend with caution, definitely for a more adventurous eater and for a small group or couple. The place is too small for a large group.

Lately, there has been a buzz, a “broth craze” that has me in a panic to find the perfect flavors. On a recent trip to LA with my daughter, we were taken to “the best” Ramen spot. It was OK. I have been on the search ever since to find a better ramen.
I did not even think to search for it in Fort Lauderdale. When my daughter returned to South Florida for winter break, we drove up and down 17th St. trying to decide what to eat… Something fun… Something different. I was telling her about Kubo, which I have seen while driving past the plaza on many occasions. My comment was that I really didn’t know what to think about these Asian fusion restaurants; they just don’t sound authentic. She said, “let’s just try it.“ It was the best decision we made.
We ordered a Bao Bun, ramen and a Filipino item, I cannot remember the name. Our server told us that all the food is made fresh and that the wife of the owner is Filipino and makes all of those items herself! That experience was absolutely perfect.
Since then, I am almost embarrassed to share, that my family and I have returned about twice a week since then. We have tried sushi, Korean items, Thai, and Filipino.
Must have spicy edamame, Ramen (I have had Tonkotsu, Kao Soi), fish tacos (yes really), dumplings, gyoza, sushi....and anything else that sparks you.
This place brings us JOY!!
