The food was so good we came back the following day to try more things on the menu. We had the Hamachi Jalapeño, Salmon Yuzu and the Seared Tuna Salad. All were delicious and very fresh. Went back and had Hamachi Sashimi, Tuna Tataki and...the Green Devil Roll. All were amazing and the Hamachi and Tuna were so fresh they tasted like they were just caught. The Green Devil Roll was huge. This restaurant will be a regular stop anytime we are in the area.More

Have been going there for ages ( pre- pandemic) and supported them thought the tough pandemic times. Great food. It’s a place I always want to go to with family and show to friends. HOWEVER, this past visit was abysmal. We wanted to alert a...friend for her birthday. Made a reservation ( not normally necessary but we wanted to make this a pleasant experience). Got there and went to host stand to state our number and leave name on reservation, for which we were 10 minutes early. Only to have an entitled witch push past and demand to be seated since they were there before us. Host seated them and then came back to address our reservation. Seated us, dropped menus, and that was the last we were spoken to by anyone of the staff for over 20 minutes. We finally flagged down a waitress racing past and placed a drink order ( iced tea and two martinis). At her suggestion we also placed our full dinner order. 10 minutes we were presented with two waters and a watered down iced tea. Tables seated after us had already walked out since they hadn’t even been approached by a staff person. After an additional 25 minutes we left a couple dollars on the table for the iced tea and walked out. After touting how lovely the food is here and how much we always enjoyed our experiences in the past I was totally embarrassed for our guest - whose birthday we were tempting to celebrate. This was a Sunday evening. The only other time I’ve ever been disappointed n 17th Street was also a Sunday day. In That case the entire restaurant appeared to be staffed by high school men college students who were more interested in playing rap as loudly as possible and laughing with one another.. in that case we left since we couldn’t even converse let alone place an order. I understand the difficulties in hiring and training staff. But I also understand that you do not maintain your reputation by running an A-B- C crew and consistently putting your weakest most immature crew on for the weekend. I’ll probably return for the food, but maybe not. There really other Thai places with good food and consistently stellar service. I’ll not risk being embarrassed by such poor service again. Oh, we went to Cilantro for dinner. A warm greeting, wonderful service, delicious food and better prices .More

Went during happy hour and just got a few small plates. Some spring rolls, their signature sushi roll and some dumplings. They were all good-honestly, nothing I'd write home about. Some of the other diner's meals looked very good-made me wish I was more hungry....The service was really good.More

We ate here two nights in a row we liked it so much. It was super busy the first night and the service wasn’t great, but the food brought us back. The service the second night was much better, the Panang curry is probably the...best I’ve ever had, and the other dishes we’ve had were also excellent.More

This is by far my favorite Sushi spot in South Florida, specifically Fort Lauderdale because I'm sure there is more great sushi spots. Every day happy hour from 5-7pm! I became hooked on this restaurant due to the freshness of their sushi; the tuna is...addicting! It would come almost muddled in the sushi role versus them just slicing chunks and rolling it. The fried pork pot sticker, best I've ever had. It's not just sushi, they have great entree dishes as well.More

17st Thai Sushi (Feb 2, 2023) Located less than five minutes from Holiday Inn Express Fort Lauderdale Cruise-Airport, this restaurant is quite good. There was no need to make reservations. It was a good experience. We enjoyed the food.

This place tastes terrible. So much baking soda in the meat, you’re eating powder. Every dish and sushi, you can taste the baking powder! Would not recommend. Anyone who gives this place a high score, don’t know what Thai food taste like.

We’ve been going almost monthly since they opened, even during Covid for takeout. Love the food and usually love the service and ambience. This time however I had to walk out without ordering. A Sunday evening for a family meal. I arrived before the others...and wanted to be seated inside. Fine since the outside seats were almost completely filled. Once inside o discovered why. There was no one there from the usual staff, as said, we go there often. That can happen so not an issue. It was a bit unsettling that the entire staff looked to be in their mid- to early twenties, even beg ind the bar and the kitchen. The major issue was the volume of the RAP being blared through the dining area. I asked that something a little more conducive to adult dining be put on. That only resulted in them changing it to the next nauseating ‘song’ with obnoxious lyrics. By then the rest of my party arrived and we simply left. That left 1 table inside and a pair of police waiting for their takeout order. ( We and a lovely dinner at 15th Street Fisheries btw) Haven’t been back to try 17th street since. I sorely miss the food and will probably try them one more time. But if the same occurs we’ll cross them off our weekly dining out list.More

Enjoyable meal. Our server was very good. Watched him take care of an older woman with a small dog on the patio. Without being asked, he brought out a bowl of water for the little guy.

I came for lunch early enough to beat most of the crowd that comes here on weekdays. This place does a brisk takeout and dine-in business. I had the veggies stir fried entrée. My meat choice was chicken. The meal came with the choice of...soup or salad. I opted for the salad and requested ginger dressing. Tasty salad that had fresh ingredients. I also got a roll, that was essentially a spring roll, with veggies and ground chicken. It came with a a tasty dressing. Good service. Pleasant atmosphere. Bargain prices for lunch specials. The entire meal came to twenty dollars with tax and tip. My rating is actually a 4 1/2.More
