Just had dinner there a few days ago. Been there countless times. Being Sicilian and cooking my whole life, this is the ONLY true Sicilian restaurant in south Florida bar none. Always beautiful fresh food and wonderful service!

There was a lot of written hype. We were disappointed. If you want pasta in a bowl this is a choice. Confusion on reservation upon arrival, sat with no service for 20 minutes, server came complained on wait and he declared “lucky” he was there....Really! His service was poor and unfriendly. Almost walked out. No acoustics and extremely loud place to the point of uncomfortable. All the hype…not for us. The food was mediocre at best.More
We were intrigued by the menu at The Etna Ross and booked a table with our friends outside. Upon arrival we were greeted by Luca, the owner, and show to our table in the front of the restaurant. The restaurant is quite intimate and charming....The focus is on authentic Italian food with Sicilian emphasis and homemade pastas and our experience was stellar. Luca has a wisely chosen selection of wines and selects quality wines he can price reasonably. Thus we had an Etna bianco and Tuscan Brunello that were both well priced and delicious. Appetizers of fiori di zucca/zucchini blossoms and caponata were brilliant, and the warm bread was delicious. We tried three pasta dishes...Norma, clams and mixed seafood, all in red sauce. The seafood was abundant and the guest chooses which type of pasta they prefer. My husband had a swordfish special which he loved. All throughout the meal Luca checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and that it was to our liking. This restaurant, its owner and staff show their guests a slice of Italy in the midst of Ft. Lauderdale. Truly a special night. Would highly recommend this restaurant to any resident or visitor to Ft. Lauderdale!More
very average food/very average to poor service/ put the plates down and never came back to see if food was good or anything needed..(lemon/grated cheese/more drinks/water etc.)did not feel comfortable owner strange and acted like he was doing me a favor to eat there.
My husband and I had dinner at the Etna Rosso. The service was excellent. We had the specials the Burrata Caponata and the Osso Busco which were delicious. The taste was incredible. We definitely recommend it for the ambience, service and incredible fare. We'll be...back.More
Ristorante " the Etna Rosso" is a truly gem in the neighborhood. Wanted to recommend as a a local. Perfect food, and really nice vibe. Thank you.
From the welcome to the goodbye, and all the pasta, laughs and fun in between, Etna Rosso is the BEST Italian restaurant with the most amazing staff. Friendly, like family, we had the most wonderful evening, 13 of us packed the place and can hardly...wait to come back! Thank you so very much!!!More
We have passed this restaurant many times and finally decided to try it. My title is a simple Italian exprssion for the best! A variety of in-house made pasta shapes with a choice of sauece and toppings perfectly prepared, is the focus of the menu....Add to that a good selection of ever changing daily specials involving meats and seafood and an irrestible antipasto charcuterie of high quality Italian cold cuts and cheese, and you will feel like you are in Sicily. Our friendly server Antonio, was a gem... knowledgeable about the menu, attentive but not intrusive and very accomidating. The owner Luca, is ever present insuring that everything is up to his high standards. A wide selection of wines by the glass or bottle is available at reasonable prices. Be advised that the place is small. Reservations should be made... especially on week-ends.More
What can I say?? Such a wonderful restaurant, I have been many times and the food and wine are always amazing. Really, you cannot go wrong with anything you order. I think you will be greatly surprised when you try the food… I have never...ordered the same thing twice and have not had a meal that wasn’t off the charts! I am so happy I discovered this place…sooooo good… I know you will thank me when you try it. My favorite wine is I’M from Toscana..More
We came for our daughter’s rehearsal dinner. Party of 51! Great food, wonderful host, friendly atmosphere and an attentive wait staff. It was a wonderful time! Even though we live 90 miles away, we will be back!
Wow doesn’t begin to explain this place. We had dinner here on 6/24/22. The service was exceptional. The food was totally amazing. The atmosphere was fairly loud but that’s ok. We started with 2 glasses of wine (New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc & a Super Tuscan)....We had a Brussel Sprout appetizer. They were roasted and served over greens with fontina cheese, figs & roasted peppers with a balsamic glaze. So good. Then I had tagliatelle bolognese. Jaw dropping good. The best bolognese I have had in Florida. My other half had bucatini puttanesca. She totally loved it. We were so full but took 2 pieces of limoncello cake to go to eat at home. Mmmm good. Can’t wait to go back.More
The food here is amazing. I look to make a reservation before I get to Florida!!! Make this place a definite to stop at.
This place is awesome ! Good perfect .service perfect . The owner stood by periodically to check how your meal is going .you do not need a bank loan to fine there . Not cheap but not overpriced. And we’ll worth it !
I don’t have enough great things to say!! The Caprese salad, the steak and lentil soup, the pastas and the flourless chocolate cake were to die for!!!
Perfect family dinner with adult children, traveling. Well paced, delicious bread, bruschetta, salads, pasta. We sampled nine dishes, each wonderful. Desserts and espresso to end. Lovely evening. Thank you so much!
