Came in last night for date night and had a good experience. We ordered sake and were later told that they couldn’t find any of the sake carafes so my husband ordered a gin and tonic. No big deal. However when we got the check, the sake was still on there so it was more than we expected, causing me to look into the bill. I noticed that my husband was given Hendricks, which is listed as their top shelf and the sake was also rang in as top shelf, but it was $15 and it’s listed as $12 on the menu. We of course got the sake taken off the bill, but I am a server and I know you don’t just charge someone for top shelf if they don’t ask for it, and he did it for both items my husband ordered. We were going to order another round and were given the bill at 10:30 when closing time was listed at 11. Also, the servers need to be taught to greet guests as they walk in the door because the dirty looks from the female servers was uncomfortable. On a positive note, the service was good other than the above complaint, the nachos were pretty good, and it is a cool concept with nice decor.

Hi Haley, we deeply apologize that your experience was less than satisfactory. Something that you did not receive should have been taken off your bill ASAP. As far as the gin and tonic, Hendrick's actually is our house gin. We try to only use the best call liquors. Our closing time is at 11:00, but we do have last call 30 minutes prior, but this should have been relayed to you. We are addressing everything you have listed and would love for you to come back in. Date nights should be the best nights out with no stress! Next time ask for Tyler, Kyle or Jim so we can make sure your visit is top notch!

Our son is a craft beer expert and wanted to dine in a restaurant with a good beer selection. There is no comparison to the amazing and lengthy craft beer list which Break Awayz provides. The three of us were seated right away and enjoyed beautifully prepared and delicious entrees at competitive prices.
I'm truly amazed with the Break Awayz's restaurant being the best we've seen yet along the Florida East Coast. Parking is more than ample, dining is indoor or outdoors, you could toss a pebble into the surf from your table, their entrees are magnificent as is their craft beer list, and the service is more than the best. Our server, Robert, took our fairly long drink and meal order without writing anything down!
If you're looking for a family restaurant with great food, service, and craft beer, go to Break Awayz. You'll be glad you did.

The locals seem to know Break Awayz stands out among the many restaurants along A1A in Flagler Beach. We started with their own version of Fish Dip, made with wild-caught seasonal fish, pita and chips. I had the Ahi Poke Bowl with marinated sushi grade tuna served over jasmine rice, my friend had Poke Tacos which had similar ingredients and equally delicious. The service was the only drawback as they tried to work as a team, which didn't work. You order a beverage from one person, but the other person never brought it. It happened twice in one visit. Stick to one server per table and you'll be fine.

Sat for 10minutes before being greeted, in spite of giving bartender our drink order (who dismissed us). Waitress was kind, saying, "Sorry for delay. We'll have to do somethin about that". But she made it it worse. We had to give drink order again and gave food order at the same time. (I'd helped myself to menus during our 10minute wait)
Waitress forgot about us even though she walked passed us a dozen times. 45Minutes after arrival I asked her to check our food order. (pretty sure they gave our food to another couple who just walked in) And she gave no refills while we waited! Just pitiful service. We arrived at 1:25pm and were not served until 2:15!!! The food was ok, but rice was undercooked and although picante was fresh it didnt have much flavor; needs lime, oregano and garlic. Only 2 waitresses on a Friday holiday wkend. The waitresses were busy, but no one else had to wait that long for service but us. And to my surprise there was no adjustment on the bill, no free beer, NOTHING equitable for all the time we sat there with empty glasses.

We did notice that this particular day the weather was rainy so many tables had moved around which may have caused part of the confusion. The Portabella Stuffed Mushroom was a mushy mess. Besides the texture the fish dip stuffing just didn't taste good and I love fish dip. The Caprese was good, the Bison Meatballs were ok but way over-sauced for my liking. The Filet Mignon Flatbread was also kind of sloppy, not crisped at all. Drinks were overpriced ($7.50 for a vodka/club Tito's is their house vodka even if you don't ask for it). The highlights were the Poki Bowl was very good and the musician was also very good. Some dishes coming from the kitchen (Nachos and Wings) also looked appealing. I had heard a lot of good things about this place but was very disappointed. Maybe we just caught them on a off night.

My wife and I had a great time and meal at Break Awayz. Her ahi tuna was really good quality and the serving was quite large. My cobia was a touch overdone, but it wasn't enough for me to warrant sending it back and it was still quite tasty. Besides the good food, what really made the experience great was the general vibe of the place- nice live music that wasn't so loud you couldn't talk and a sensational beer list!

This place is a hidden gem! You MUST try this place. This was our second visit, our first being two years ago and after the covid pandemic we were so happy to see it surviving (not surprised) and that we could visit again and have something amazing. The ahi tuna tacos and out of this world. The tomato basil soup is legit and so is the poke bowl. We are planning to go back while we are here to try some different items because the service is great, great people, and phenomenal good! We live a good find! Support local!!! You have to try this while in the area!!

Our family dined here a couple of years back and we recalled that the food was outstanding but the service was horrendous. This time the service was very good but while our dinners were good, they just didn't wow us like last time. We both had the ahi tuna. Oh, their craft beer list is excellent. We'll be back to give it another shot.

Unfortunately our experience was not good. We got there at 5, ordered apps & drinks. Then we ordered food about 520, and sat there and watched everyone around us get their app, drinks & food, We asked repeatedly but got excuses. Why were people that got there later then us getting their food first ? It became very obvious when our young waitress had a major hissy over us asking when is our food coming out that she was very new and clearly had no training. Ended up she didn't put in our food till almost 6 - her mistake but no apologies or any contact after her hissy. Oh well ,lesson learned bye bye never trying their food .

Visited on New Year's Day, arrived a few minutes after noon and got a table out front with nothing but the A1A between us and the beach. You absolutely must get the Flagler Bites appetizer...they use whatever the day's local catch (on this day, it was Mahi); cube it, season it with Cajun blackening spices and ...YUM! The sriracha remoulade it was served with had just the right amount of kick. We also had the margarita flatbread with fresh basil and a balsamic drizzle; another winner. Even though we were eying the fish tacos, this was enough food for the two of us for lunch. The prices here are very reasonable for the excellent quality of the food, and the view is fantastic. There is a small parking lot and street parking, too.

Don't let the outside fool you. Inside is plain and simple almost a beach bar and not a restaurant. It is far from that. We were greeted by nice wait staff. Good drink menu whether you want beer or mixed drinks. Try the Spicy Margarita, its refreshing! Food was even better, this is not bar food. It is real nice restuarant food. Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl and Tacos were top notch. They were very happy to accommodate a change in the items in the meal we ordered. Our visit was late July 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic and the made us feel very comfortable with masks and table that were far enough apart. .

My wife and I were out on a day trip down A1A from Ponte Vedra to Daytona and was passing by Flagler Beach around noon. We saw this restaurant along side the road with outdoor seating and thought we would give it a try. We were so glad we did! Being our first time there, our waiter John helped us through the menu. My wife chose the shrimp tacos, while I had the chicken satay. We were surprised at the portions that were served. There were 3 shrimp tacos generously filled with shrimp and the chicken satay had 2 skewers of chicken with sides of Asian slaw and rice, along with a peanut sauce. Portions big enough, We were able to switch plates half way through to enjoy the others entree. John made sure that are drinks stayed full. Looking forward to going back soon to enjoy some other goodies on the menu.

Right across from the Flagler beach, you have an amazing view to enjoy your food. And enjoy you will! The food was superb. Everything was cooked perfectly. Start with Flagler Bites appetizer, ours was Mahimahi, we almost ordered a second they were so good. Then we had Mahimahi Baja tacos - best fish tacos ever. We finished with Key Lime Pie, made to perfection. Never found one before this that rivaled my wife's homemade. My wife had a really refreshing southbeach strawberry mimosa ale with her meal that was also really good. Prices were friendly too. Definitely worth the stop.

Have been here many times and it never disappoints! Love their flat breads and my favorite is the margarita with the drizzled sweet balsamic......yum! Herbs and tomatoes are so fresh! The goat cheese one is to die for, too! My friend had the stuffed portobello and she loved it. It was a very large double portion. Love sitting outside and the seats are comfy and are covered with umbrellas. Indoor seating not as comfy nor as plentiful, but on a blustery January day, it worked. Oh, and outdoors is dog friendly, too. My only complaint is that the sweet tea taste instant and I'd prefer freshly brewed.

They posted a Fish N Chips Gouper special on their Facebook page. Got there at 5:30 and they wanted to substitute Cobia as they were out of Grouper. I don't think they ever had Grouper. I declined as the grouper was priced at $22 and that is what I wanted. Got a cheeseburger instead. preformed patty with minimal flavor. Ordered a hazy IPA. was 7.0%. Just okay, no finish, but it cost me $10 for pint. I have never paid $10 for a pint of beer in my life!! Wife got fish tacos which she said was nothing special. Over rated place.
