Location and contact

Located in Fernandina's Historic District since 1996, Le Clos serves delicious Provençal dishes by candlelight in a charming, intimate 1906 cottage. Chef/Owner Katherine Ewing received full degrees in both cuisine and pastry from Le Cordon Bleu and L'Ecole de Gastronomie Francaise Ritz-Escoffier, Paris, and trained at the Ritz Hotel, Paris, France. The menu items at Le Clos are prepared carefully and presented beautifully with an emphasis on local fresh seafood. The eclectic wine list offers the perfect accompaniment for every menu selection. Attire is resort casual.

My husband had meatloaf....the most unusual prep....duck and beef....light and delicious! I had flounder...excellent and well seasoned. And then creme brûlée ....More

A tiny place one street off the main drag in the historic district. Even so, it appeared to attract more “locals” (transplants) than tourists. We were seated immediately and our server greeted us promptly. It was a tough choice on the entrees but the duck...More

Started with the paté - very good, fresh flounder entree (for me), shrimp for my wife. Julienned vegetables and whipped potatoes accompanied the flounder special. Chocolate torte for dessert. Great wine pairing that accompanied both our appetizer and entrees well. Room was a little noisy,...More
