Celebrated our Anniversary with a last minute, 9pm reservation after several recommendations from the locals. Locals always know that best places to eat! Our experience did not disappoint! From walking in the door and being warmly greeted and immediately seated, to the fabulous waitstaff, bartenders...and talented kitchen, our dinner was one the best we have experienced in years. Our drinks of choice were mojitos & Moscow mules, all of which were expertly crafted. The appetizer bread was warm and soft with a crispy, flaky, perfect cooked crust. We were told they have been using the same started for the last seven years! The Charcuterie board was our appetizer, with cheddar, goat cheese, a cherry salami, seasonal berries, nuts and an in house blueberry compote….it was wonderful! Our main courses were the Salmon and the special, an aged beef tenderloin from the Atlanta area. Both were cooked to perfection and well presented. The green pea compote was amazing! We rounded out the meal with a to go desert choice of the chocolate torte with caramel sea salt. We were beyond full, but as fabulous as our meal was, there was no way we’re weren’t going to experience the desert! I wish we would have taken two of them with us! At 1am it was heaven! Even though our reservation was a late night, 9pm arrival, we were never rushed and our wait staff were attentive to every detail from start to finish. Never overbearing, yet we never had to ask for anything. DO NOT miss your opportunity to experience Burlingame! PS, if you enjoy your meal as much as we did, the locals let us know you can “send a round of beers to the kitchen staff” for $10 as a token of your appreciation. They don’t actually get the “round of beers”, but from our understanding the money goes in pot for bonuses!More

My husband and I had a great dinner to night. Cocktails, Lamb bolognese, bone in pork chop, and the Brussel sprout appetizer. All of it was excellent! We will be back.

The food was outstanding with some minor gaffes. The gem salad did not have the Marcona almonds, but was still very good. They removed my knife before serving the entree (pork chop,) without bringing another knife. But the food was excellent, including the pork chop...and a black bean and Carolina rice, which was absolutely delicious. We shared a chocolate tart with salted caramel, again, delicious. I am sorry to see several tough reviews, but I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.More

Outstanding, pleasant and informative service matched with dishes prepared with care and exactness. What more could a diner ask for? Every course was presented artfully- in a visual sense as well as with the palate. The depth of flavor was so nuanced.

My wife and I went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary while visiting Fernandina Beach. As our research suggested, this is a very nice place a block off the main road through town and walkable from the historic district hotels. The food was very good...and the service was also good. The other waiters seemed a bit more descriptive and engaged that ours, but it was still more than adequate. Nice environment, a limited menu but very good food, and a bit pricey (expected).More

We were excited to return to Burlingame, a favorite last time we were in Fernandina Beach. However, this time, the quality of the food fell extremely short of our expectations. Maybe we picked the wrong menu items (short rib, salmon), or the wrong night (it...was a Monday.) But you be the judge.More

This restaurant has excellent reviews, did not live upto our expectations! The veg dish was gluten free and was chewy in the middle and we had to wait for a non-gluten dish Parking on a stormy Saturday evening was problematic and we circled around till...we found a place We have been to many better quaint gourmet restaurants were disappointed.More

This was honestly one of the best dining experiences that I’ve had in a very long time. From the appetizers to the entrées and cocktails, everything was amazing. The service was impeccable and friendly. We had the burrata, fresh oysters and the most delicious brussels...sprouts I think I’ve ever had. I had the steak and frites. It was cooked perfectly with a very fresh (not oily) chimichurri sauce. The fries were double fried and delicious. The drinks were delicious and they let us replace watermelon in a cocktail with pineapple because I don’t like watermelon. For dessert we had crème brûlée and it was really good. Highly recommend!!More

Lamb bolognese was truly amazing. Wife had pork. Also great. Peach and tomato salad was fabulous. Fresh bread and desert, also world class. Overall, by FAR the best meal we've had on Amelia Island (and we tried most of best reviewed), and up there with...best I've had anywhere.More

Made dinner reservations for a special occasion and had one of the best dinners ever. Started with a bottle of wine (plus I had a Manhattan too). Opened with some oysters from the east coast. Had the special which was halibut with purple potatoes and...leek with muscles. Wow was it good!!!! I will certainly be back there again. Thank you Chef Chad!More

Went for a birthday celebration last evening. Really a wonderful experience. The Halibut was a signature dish worthy of 5 stars. The steak was tender, cooked to perfection and the fries were awesome. Highly recommend the Charleston Girl cocktail. Our server was very attentive. Sitting...outdoors was delightful although our table for two was a bit small. Overall highly recommend this restaurant.More

During our third trip to Fernandina, we decided to try Burlingame. What a great choice! The service was top notch and the food was delicious. Try the steak and gourmet fries and a French 75 cocktail. We can’t wait to return.
