The setting and the historical building were wonderful, however the food was just ok. We went for lunch on the porch, beautiful view. My fish was soft and soggy. Ugh! Go to Naples and Bonita Springs for good fish, not here! Don't even go for...More

The building is a great visit, maybe for a drink. We ate here a couple of years ago and it was nothing special or memorable food-wise. The building is rich in history, has some unique character touches and is worth a visit. Maybe the food...More

We stopped for lunch after a airboat tour. We had stopped here before and enjoyed the "old south" feel of the club. This time was different. The club was looking its age and simple things like a clean rest room were not up to expectations....More

Since Everglades City is a fishing town I expected that a local restaurant, especially of this caliber, would serve fresh, local seafood. The grouper was mushy and tasteless. The server said they buy seafood in bulk so they have to freeze it. I could get...More

Okay, it was late for lunch and food was probably running out, but when our friends ordered their seafood combination lunches broiled, they were served deep fried ones with some ridiculous excuse from the cook with no real apology. Tiny, tiny pieces of fish with...More

My wife, daughter and I visited Everglades City in March and while there we decided upon this restaurant because of the lack of choices and it's seeming uniqueness. I've never had a worse experience than here. Our seat was on the porch with a nice...More

My husband and I have been to the Rod and Gun club for the last 7 or 8 years in a row and it has always been a nice experience and good food, simple but good. Love the building and it's history. After our experience...More

Read reviews before deciding and was concerned about negative ones. So glad we went anyways, worth the boat ride from Marco. The history alone worth the trip. Our older server was "seasoned"and very friendly. Please people..have a little patience. Lighten up! We actually shared a...More

Great place for that old Florida vibe. Don't go if you are looking for 5 star hotel, telephone & hairdryer in room, heated pool.

Give them a call at (239) 695-2101 to check current prices. Google them to see that not many are happy with their rooms, service, or prices anymore. A lot of history there and a nice location on the Baron River, but there... More
