I ate here on my birthday trip to the Everglades, I love the scenery and the old time feel. Menu was a bit pricey but overall a great experience and food tasted fantastic!

We’ve eaten here multiple times over the years when we bring friends for an airboat ride. It really completes the feeling of what it was like years ago in the Everglades when you walk through the lobby and grounds and eat on the screened porch....More

Rod and Gun is definitely worth seeing, built upon a foundation started in 1864 the actual structure was built completely of pecky-cypress (the wood that is practically impervious to termites and rot) around 1922. It has been visited by Presidents Hoover, Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon...More

Delicious fresh fried local shrimp hoagies and grouper sandwich with fries. The best key lime pie . Disappointed gator, although on the menu, was not available we opted for the calamari which was very good. Cash only and a bit pricey. $16.95 for most sandwiches.

An iconic building that is legendary, hosting Presidents Hoover, Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower and Nixon. Ernest Hemingway was also a guest. It is well maintained.

Historic site full of historical artifacts. Good food. Might be more suited to months Nov-April. No air conditioning when we went there but you have to see to appreciate this place.

Great place to book a local fishing charter from then return and have them “cook your catch” while you enjoy eating in their restaurant, enjoying the history/ experience.

We enjoyed a meal at this unique restaurant in the heart of the Everglades. Truly a Rod and Gun Club with a century of history reflecting the unique culture of the area. Food was good and the staff was friendly.

Give them a call at (239) 695-2101 to check current prices. Google them to see that not many are happy with their rooms, service, or prices anymore. A lot of history there and a nice location on the Baron River, but there... More
