If you make a trip down to Everglade City, I think Triad is worth a stop. We found it when visiting the area last year, and enjoyed it enough to return on our visit this year.
This is a small fish market, and back home we would call a place like this "seafood in the rough". There are outdoor picnic tables, some covered and some seats overlooking the river. Fun to watch the pelicans and other wildlife. You are also permitted to throw your stone crab shells over the railing into the water. Not sure if the birds are interested, but there were quite a few pelicans!
We came for the stone crabs and as expected they were fresh and delicious. The only pain point is the price. Stone crabs are expensive and it seems the price goes up every time. As it was lunch, we ordered one plate and split it for a very light lunch. Hush puppies and sweet potato fries were delicious. Coconut shrimp were OK, not among the best we've had in the area. Key lime pie was delicious! They seemed understaffed and service was slow.
If you pack a cooler you can stop in the fish market and purchase some to bring home.

We stopped for lunch on our way back from Wild Lime Everglades Tour [also a 5⭐️ experience.] It’s very popular and every table was filled.
Cashier will give you a pager and we were seated in less than 10 minutes.
We had the blackened shrimp bowl and the blackened grouper bowl, a house specialty. Both were caught-today fresh, generous portions, perfectly seasoned, not too salty, with excellent fries, delicious cole slaw.
Our neighbors had the house specialty large & medium stone crab claws and loved them.
Service was friendly and fast, but not rushed. Great views of the canal and passing fishing boats while you eat. An authentic Everglades experience- we’ll be back.

We stopped here for lunch after a tour of the Everglades. The atmosphere on the patio was pitch-perfect with great views of the water. But the real highlight was the food--maybe the best fried shrimp I've ever had! The waitress confirmed that the shrimp was fresh and locally sourced. You could tell. The rest of the food was equally good. We absolutely loved everything about this place and definitely plan to return if we're ever in the area again.

This place is very unkept and dirty inside. The menu was a piece of greasy, stained dirty paper folded in a basket and handled by everyone obviously.
The bathrooms are very old and dirty. Some of the food was just OK, albeit way overpriced for a place like this and served in cheap styrofoam and plastic. Our lunch was $110. I reluctantly left a $10 tip and added the bill up before signing, but upon reviewing my bank account, I discovered they changed the tip amount after I left to 15%. Now I have to dispute it (on principle). The server didn't even introduce himself. Drive out of Everglades City to eat if this is your only option. I am very well traveled and eat at restaurants regularly and I don't write this lightly.

Food: grilled shrimp- great but with lots of butter everything is. Fried crab cakes- definitely not up to expectations. Mahi-mahi basket- seemed like a piece of frozen fish with sauce. French fries are good. Hog fish sandwich was ok. On the pricey side for clam shack food. Last time we ate at Camelia St. Grill, just down the road, and would recommend that over Triad.

We stopped in at Everglades City on our way home from Tampa for some stone crabs and Triad Seafood did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. We sat at one of the benches facing the water and watched the birds and the fishing boats while we ate our lunch. The service was very good and we look forward to our return to try other menu items. We also bought some fish dip and I recommend you pick one or two up on your way to the register.

We seated ourselves and a server took our order. I was impressed that 2 other passing servers made sure we'd been waited on. Food was excellent and very fresh (we had mahi mahi and coconut shrimp). I added a side of sweet potato fries - probably a commercial frozen variety, I'm sure, but they were perfectly cooked and extremely inexpensive ($3). Paying the check was a little confusing but we will definitely be back!

Great, relaxed setting with delicious food. I had blackened shrimp on the cranberry walnut salad and my husband had the crab claws-we enjoyed both immensley. Sat at ourselves facing the water. Staff was attentive but not intrusive. Homemade keylime pie was great too.

Very pricy but very good stone crabs. some sides were not good like cole slaw & fried green tomatoes.
For being the stone crab capital the gross over pricing at any restaurant in Everglades City is not nice or necessary-prices increased during the pandemic because people were home & ordering.
It’s over so get back to reality & go back to previous prices, please.

First time visiting this establishment and wont be going back. Following the great reviews we decided to try this restaurant. The waitress came by after 15 minutes and we ordered our drinks, we placed our order, fried grouper, fries, coleslaw and hushpuppies basket and also the shrimp basket. 50 minutes later my husband got up to find our waitress and she informed us that our food will be out in a few (10) minutes later. Our waitress never came around to ask if we wanted another beer, while we waited. When we got our food there were no hushpuppies, we asked and they had run out. Would have appreciated if she had mention it. Food was ok, nothing extraordinary, waitress was not very friendly and we hardly saw her. We asked for our bill, waited over 15 minutes and just went to the register to pay, there the waitress wrote it up and we paid. I think $75. was too much for what we received. Wont be going back, not at all impressed.

Perfect! We were looking for a casual place with great seafood and cheeseburgers for our kids. The crab cakes were so delicious and fresh! Even my cheeseburger-only kiddo loved them (I should’ve ordered another one just for him)! The burger was delicious by the way! The dipping sauces were delicious and the alligator tail was juicy and tender. Everything was hot- temperature wise - so hot and fresh out of the kitchen we had to wait a minute to eat it, which is how I like it!
Service was great.
We saw manatees, pelicans, and numerous other shorebirds. Great for couples and families.

Love the laid back atmosphere. The service was excellent and food came out quickly. I got the grouper sandwich blackened and it was cooked to perfection (not overdone). My husband got the stone crab and enjoyed every bite. It was a great experience!

Our waitress was super nice, informative and efficient. We enjoyed a beautiful meal with a brown pelican and seagulls watching us while we enjoyed a delicious lunch. The hog fish sandwich (grilled) was delicious as were the sweet potato fries and mahi mahi tacos (which for teens who say they don’t like fish means a lot).
Will be back again when we return to the beautiful Everglades.
Thank you

Had a reservation for lunch, they actually called me about an hour or so before to see if we wanted any stone crabs as they were running low and would save some for us! Never had that happen before. The seafood was excellent, including fried oysters, grouper and coconut shrimp. The crab cake was almost all crab, delicious. Granddaughter said the burger was the best! The slaw was very tasty, hush puppies only fair, crinkle cut fries decent

If your ever down in Everglades City you have to stop by this hidden gem, the little hole in the walls are always the best finds! The blackened grouper sandwich and Florida lobster tail were amazing and would highly recommend the homemade desserts we had to try all three! I can’t wait for the stone crabs season yo kick off this place has the freshest in town, we will definitely be back!
