My wife and I ate here as it was the only place open when we wanted to have breakfast. As luck would have it, I could not have picked a better spot if I had planned it. Food was outstanding and the service was friendly....Two thumbs up.More
Food was fairly good at least compared to some of the other few places to eat in Everglades City. Prices were high, but there’s not a lot of other places to eat. It was always very busy and crowded inside, and they had no outdoor...seating, so we got our meals to go. Food was made quickly and allowed us the perfect opportunity to sit on our porch by the water to eat. Line to order was very long and staff didn’t pay much attention to customers, but I suppose they were very busy so service won’t be great. They also have a small ice cream shop in the back as well as a small store.More
The options are pretty limited deep into the Everglades, but Island Cafe was still unimpressive. The service was horrible, with insufficient staffing and long waits to order and to be served. They couldn't even run a credit card to pay correctly, as I had to...leave a cash tip. The food itself was unimpressive. A basic salad was fine, but the gator bites were dry and heavy on the breading. I didn't expect fine dining, but it failed to meet low expectations and the prices were higher than they should have been for this kind of food.More
The food was okay, the waitress was not very pleasant- I do not think she cracked even one smile and seemed annoyed. No one was wearing masks. But it wasn't the worst experience. Not a lot of choices in Everglades City.
We dined at the Island Cafe, a local spot. The food is hot, good and filled us before we went kayaking. Prices are reasonable. I had the Philly cheesesteak which was tasty, hubby had the Chicken Mashed Potato bowl.
A quant little Café' that served a great lunch for us at a cost that was affordable and enjoyable as we traveled to the Everglades. The menu offered many choices so it was hard to figure out what we wanted but it was all good....Friendly staff and music fit the environment and experience.More
Had an amazing dinner on our girls trip with our combined catch. They were very accommodating and service was quick and friendly. Fish was prepared 3 ways and each was perfect. Also great for breakfast and lunches to take on the boat.
