Back in town to visit mom and Nicola's was on the must do list. No wait to get in and seated. Prompt wait staff. Veal parmesan was totally yummy. The canoli...oh the canoli! See you next month.

Not bad, but wouldn’t return anytime soon. Food came out warm, not hot. It was Loud, and service was slow. When we were served, it seemed rushed. Overall, the food was “mediocre at best.” This was our third or fourth time here, just figured we...More
Thank you for your kind words. Our tourist trap has been here for 27 years because of our loyal locals. As you must know, if you only cater to the tourists, one will never survive in this town. We are proud of our quality and...More
FANTASTIC again! Loved the veal parm, first time for me but mother in law loves it. They lent me cheeter glasses so I could read too! Knots are fantastic. We visit every time we are in town! My kids love it too. Gwen is a...More
Thank you. Gwyn is a star in our book.
What a great find in Englewood Florida. We spotted this from the road and stopped for lunch. The place is small and tables close together but still makes one feel like they are in Italy. Owner said good bye and thanked us for stopping. We...More
Thank you for stopping. Come again when you are in the area.
We loved this restaurant..Best Italian food around..Try to get there early..In season there is quite a wait..Worth it to wait though..The Broccoli Rabb (Rapinni) is the Best around..Nice wine list too!! Save a table for me!! Love it!!
Thank you so much. The wine list was fun getting together...I mean trying all those wines are exhausting. Lol. Table saved. See you soon.
Nicolas is nearly always busy, so I was expecting good Italian food. Unfortunately, it's pretty bland. We tried their pizza and a pasta dish....both tasted like they weren't seasoned enough.
Thank you for your review.
Second time we visited. We are snowbirds. Love to eat at new places, but this is one to return to many times. Food was excellent again. Our service was good also. Try it you won’t be sorry.
Thank you for coming again and again. We are glad you’re here.
I had some cousins visiting from MN and when I mentioned that I really liked the Pizza at Nicola's last year when I was there, they wanted to go. ( I am a snowbird so I find these great restaurants and then I have to...More
Thank you. Be sure to try us again when you come back.
This restaurant genuinely replicates a classic Trattoria you would find in most Italian villages. Walking in you immediately feel the warmth of the staff and small the aroma of great food cooking. The wait was very short, the staff delightful. The menu offered many classic...More
The manicotti is my personal favorite! Thank you!
I have known the owners for many years and not only are they talented, but the food is great and so is the service. In an Italian restaurant I gage my evaluation on how the noodles are cooked and the spaghetti here are perfect.
