We LOVE this Mexican restaurant. Great flavorful food at a reasonable price. Large portions. We were able to sit outside which had an awning so you were protected from rain and heat of the sun. Very quickly a masked waiter came for our drink order...and someone else came with chips and a yummy salsa that were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. . I ordered the taco salad with chicken and it was amazing. Hubby ordered the the Cancun fajitas with mahi-mahi that was yummy and shrimp and Krab(vegan fish??) he tried the “Karbala but since it was an enormous platter of shrimp on skewers and a huge piece of mahi-mahi there was plenty to eat. Lots of veggies were wonderful. A great choice of beer too. We will be backMore

Thursday night dining, around 5:30, non-peak season, rainy night. El Jalisco is in the Destin Commons shopping area, a quaint area with several shops and restaurants. We were seated and served immediately. The complementary chips and salsa is AWESOME. The two of us downed two...helpings that night. We ordered the MASTER PARRILLADA: "A delicious combination of grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, Mexican chorizo and carnitas. Accompanied by two portions of each side. Serves two." The chorizo was just OK, but the other items were GREAT! Very delicious. This was more than enough food for the two of us. The food came out in a timely manner, even though there were a few larger (8+) groups there that night. Our server kept a good eye on us as well. My only beef seems to be a consistent thing with almost all Mexican places: They bring you a pile of stuff for your fajitas, but only bring 6 flour tortillas (3 for each person), and then charge you $2 when you want/need more. There's no way all the "stuff" fits in 6 tortillas. Ours were overflowing and we still needed more. Sure, it's only $2, but that kind of rubs me the wrong way. If I ever open a Mexican restaurant, I'll double the tortillas!!!! :) Would we go here again? Absolutely we would. Highly recommended!More

We have eaten here in the past, and it has always been good. This past trip, exceeded all expectations. For an appetizer, we had the table side guacamole, it was delicious, perfectly seasoned. I had the Enchiladas Verdes. It was a very large portion. The...chicken was tender and the verdes sauce was perfectly tart. My son had the bowl, 2 thumbs up and my husband had the fish tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious and service was spot on, can't wait to go back!!!More

Not sure where start, from poor service to fake crab meat fajita or not getting birthday song that we asked and confirmed three times for my 11 years old daughter. Never been in a place that bad before. The fan wasn't working and flies were...flying everywhere and we did see out waiter maybe once. Don't waste your money and your vacation mood.More

Outdoor seating. Spaced for Covid. Very relaxing and great food. We eat Mexican often so I was surprised by how good the chicken in my chimichanga was. I also really liked their Salsa.

Had a wonderful and helpful server named Lorena. We give her 5 stars and would love to thank her. The table side guacamole that she made was excellent. She helped us choose skinny margaritas because the last time we ate here the house margaritas are...nothing but awful lime mix, no tequila. Tried skinny’s and they were $14 each for watered down ice, no alcohol and I am a light weight. They were so watery but because we sat outside we thought maybe they had sat a while before bringing them. Decided to try again and the second ones were as bad. $56 and they were the worst margaritas. Server brought manager to table although we told her we would pay, just wouldn’t choose to come back except with no drinks. He got all upset with us because we drank them, so they couldn’t be that bad!! What?? When u pay $56 u better drink them!! Won’t be back because of the manager’s attitude and terrible drinks except when Maurice is there.More

Chips were warm and salsa was great. Great service and some of the best Mexican food I have had. Had the Chile Rellenos and Chicken Enchilada Verde, delicious. Margaritas were 2 for 1 and very good. Highly recommended Mexican Restaurant.

Usually have some live music and good atmosphere. Drinks are good and a pretty large bar. Food is not bad and not too expensive. You can order just a taco, tamale or two if you are in a hurry and need a quick bite. Fajitas...are ok. I go once a month or so so I can say it is in my rotation of restaurants.More
