Usually have some live music and good atmosphere. Drinks are good and a pretty large bar. Food is not bad and not too expensive. You can order just a taco, tamale or two if you are in a hurry and need a quick bite. Fajitas are ok. I go once a month or so so I can say it is in my rotation of restaurants.

Omg! The LED lights are too bright at night & felt like we were in a display case!
Peeps were actually holding their hands up on there foreheads!
Tone these down, this will be our last visit till this changes!
Not good look for everyone to be squinting at the bar!
Cheers.. move on.. visit a location that has more ambient lighting as this is a very cold feel!
The Bartender did rock!

We ordered the nachos fiesta, which was absolutely delicious! The chips and salsa were great too. The service, however, was bad. He never brought us silverware, never refilled empty drinks. We never saw him again after we asked for a napkin. We sat 20 minutes waiting for a check so we could leave. We really thought he had gone home.

The atmosphere is lively and pleasant. Prices seemed typically high for a tourist area. Paid $15.00 for a margarita that was overloaded with ice with what seemed like a taste of flavored juice and water. Could not taste the presence of any alcohol at all. Our waitress did not tell us about the all-day 2 for 1 special on drinks. The Jalisco salad with grilled chicken was tasty and very filling, nicely presented. I paid cash for the meal, and when the waitress presented the paid receipts to us, she just placed all of them at one end of the table and then left. When I got my receipt, I was shorted $10.00 and had to go to the desk and request my money. Tips are automatically added to the bill, so do read it carefully.

The service was ok, she wasn’t very attentive. The food was meh, even for Mexican food. We had tacos, quesadillas and fajitas. Hubby didn’t get his food until everyone else had finished their food. They charge $5 for every bowl of chips over two, regardless of the size of the table. The beef was gross tasting. The chicken wasn’t much better.

As a local, we have been here several times and the food and drinks were very good. This time, we went about 3:30 p.m., and ordered fajitas. When it came out, the chicken and steak were dried out and the bottom of the iron plate looked like it had been under a heat lamp for a long time. I think we got the last of the left over food from the lunch menu that had not been served. So, if you go, be sure to go around 5 pm or later to avoid the left over lunch items. They do have a good 2 for 1 beer special and that is a good choice, as tea is $3.50 per glass. Service is always good and Cisco was our server.

Today 07/31 around 05:15pm I inquired about a table for 23 since we are 4 families traveling from Oklahoma to Destin. The female hostess went to check with a male who came back to the counter and said they did not have a table available. I then requested 4 separate tables for us to sit separately. The female said it would be possible for this but then the male said he was unable to sit us at separate tables even if we would be served at different times. At first I thought he had misunderstood but after I explained to him again he again REFUSED to sit us separately. I took my business elsewhere to Pepito's which is 3 minutes away and the food there was delicious. Hopefully management can look into this and take proper action.

The worst first experience ever! The waitress didn’t understand my questions about the menu! Due to the incorrect information provided, I had a dinner that was not what she explained! There was a bug in my boyfriend’s food! The manager was unapologetic and disregarded our dissatisfaction completely stating it was a piece of another item on the menu!!! I don’t care! If I didn’t order that, it shouldn’t be on my plate! Clearly there’s no organization and obvious cross-contamination in their kitchen!!!! Disgusting service, disgusting food! First and last visit!

We LOVE this Mexican restaurant. Great flavorful food at a reasonable price. Large portions. We were able to sit outside which had an awning so you were protected from rain and heat of the sun. Very quickly a masked waiter came for our drink order and someone else came with chips and a yummy salsa that were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. . I ordered the taco salad with chicken and it was amazing. Hubby ordered the the Cancun fajitas with mahi-mahi that was yummy and shrimp and Krab(vegan fish??) he tried the “Karbala but since it was an enormous platter of shrimp on skewers and a huge piece of mahi-mahi there was plenty to eat. Lots of veggies were wonderful. A great choice of beer too. We will be back

Had a wonderful and helpful server named Lorena. We give her 5 stars and would love to thank her.
The table side guacamole that she made was excellent. She helped us choose skinny margaritas because the last time we ate here the house margaritas are nothing but awful lime mix, no tequila.
Tried skinny’s and they were $14 each for watered down ice, no alcohol and I am a light weight. They were so watery but because we sat outside we thought maybe they had sat a while before bringing them. Decided to try again and the second ones were as bad. $56 and they were the worst margaritas. Server brought manager to table although we told her we would pay, just wouldn’t choose to come back except with no drinks. He got all upset with us because we drank them, so they couldn’t be that bad!! What?? When u pay $56 u better drink them!! Won’t be back because of the manager’s attitude and terrible drinks except when Maurice is there.

Great Mexican cuisine in Destin Commons. We had street tacos, ultimate burrito, and taco salad. Live music inside the restaurant and covered seating outside. Live music was a mix of 80s soft rock and upbeat country. I highly recommend if you are wanting an alternative to the seafood options Destin has.

After leaving Big Kahuna water park, we decided to shower then go shopping at the Destin Commons. We were planning on doing a small quick shopping trip then heading to eat at Margaritaville but changed our minds and wanted to shop there all afternoon. We looked on the directory board for food and decided to try El Jalisco. They didn’t disappoint!! The food was so delicious and full of flavor, and that says a lot because we are from South Louisiana! The portions were great size too! Our waiter made sure we were taken care of and everything was to our liking. The quesadilla was unlike anything I’ve tried at other Mexican restaurants before, all other quesadillas are generally a fajita steak and cheese, however this was seasoned ground meat and gooey cheese in the tortilla. It may not sound like it by my description, but it was incredible! We will definitely be back to eat here when we are back in Florida shopping at Destin commons!!

Upon arriving at the restaurant I heard a lady named Hannah ask a lady for an ID for her Service Dog. This is illegal to ask for ID for a Service Dog especially when wearing a Service Animal Harness. Shame on you. I then left without being seated

Margarita Mondays are a blast. Food was served quickly and hot. Alfredo did an excellent job. Our grandson from Texas said it was some of the best Mexican food he had eaten. The fajita quesadillas are excellent as well as the chimichangas.

Been in FWB over a month great Seafood. Wanted a change and love TexMex. Reviews were good for here. Glad we came enjoyed Chicken Fajitas, Combo Fajitas and 2 for 1 House Ritas. Excellent service sat outside under awning.
Location Commons facing Bass Pro. Will return next year.
