Told by bartender that the fish was very fresh. She recommended the “Chimay”. It was grilled red snapper with salsa mango, black beans refried, and rice. It was delicious. Was told it’s sister company is a seafood market so anything with seafood is fresh. I will recommend it.

Cute restaurant and the service was quite good, but the food just didn't quite make it. The chicken tortilla soup was pretty watery/brothy, not like I've had in Mexico. The meat in the Carnitas Tacos was very dry, obviously cooked well before and reheated.

After a terrible experience at”que Pasa” we ended back here once they opened at 4 and it was awesmazing. (That’s a supped up awesome btw). From the service to the appetizer fried avocado to the pineapple jalapeño margs to the main dish it was all a delight. Thank goodness. We’ve been staying at shoreline towers next door for about 7 years and have been sleeping on this place. Not no mo!!!!! We will be back in September.

We stopped in for a quick meal on our first night of vacation. We were 6 adults and 2 small children. We inquired about the Queso dip in regard as to whether or not it had peppers in it. They explained that it did but they were mild. Told them no thank you. Ordered several plates of food for all and patiently waited. The 6 year old ONLY eats chips and cheese dip at Mexican restaurants, so we asked for a tiny sample for her to try. They prompty brought her a small sample. It was the weirdest tasting cheese dip we ever tasted. Almost as if they had refried beans in it for thickening! She decided to eat some so we ordered her and the other child each a portion of it. These were $7.00 each and we never pay over $4.00 elsewhere. Coca Colas were $3.00 each! The rest was a little higher than we normally pay and some was about the same but the "meat" portion of the dishes had no flavor. The shocker was when the bill came out and I found they charged $1.50 for the sample of dip as well as the same amount for a small portion of taco sauce for the other child as he did not care for the salsa on the table. This place nickle and dimes you to death and the food was not very tasteful. I will say the server was polite and prompt but we won't ever return.

We visited during spring break. The restaurant had character and was packed so we figured it would be an alright choice. The only people who enjoyed their food were the kids; and they got chicken tenders and fries. Chicken and pork belly tacos were dry. The fish tacos were fishy. And overall, pricing was high. $19 for taco plate, as an example . We would not return.

We wanted an easy dinner so we chose to eat out. Popped in here because it was close by & 5 Stars on Facebook (but afterwards not sure why). Figured can't go wrong with Mexican. No one at our table was happy except our children - they ordered fries and chicken nuggets. After looking at the high prices on the menu, the tacos plates were $19+. I ordered individual tacos - chicken and pork belly. Both tacos were dry with very little seasoning. Got charged $0.50 for sour cream to try and make it more edible. Others' fish tacos were fishy. Nachos were ok. We ordered a queso dip which was ok, but was more tex mex queso. Definitely would not chose again.

The 10 children under 8 years old sitting at the bar got better service than we did. We listened to them scream for at least the last half hour we were at the restaurant trying to enjoy our food. It was absolutely ridiculous. Not only that but our food came out cold. Come to find out, the whole playground was friends with the people that worked there so our service went out the window at that point. Truly pathetic to be treated like a tourist when we aren’t.

The parking lot wasn't very full which had us worried so we asked people coming out how it was. They told us that they were locals and loved eating at La Paz. We loved it too!! Some of the best fajitas we've ever had!!! Refried beans and the guacamole were some of the best I've ever had. We will definitely go back!!!

My friend and I ordered takeout. Her street tacos were just so-so. My enchiladas (one beef, one chicken) were lacking flavor, as well as the black beans and rice. We both agreed the meals were overpriced. Chips were light, crisp and salted just right, though! Bar staff where we picked up our order was friendly and the place seemed interesting and nice enough, we just weren't all that impressed with the food.

2 orders of fish tacos (2 smallish tacos per order) with a tiny serving of bland rice and pureed black bean (please don't puree black beans!!!) plus 1 coke and 1 beer was $74. The tacos were $29 per plate so that's $58 for food. How a beer and a coke cost $16 is beyond me. I'm big on tipping but the server took the order and brought the food and never checked back with us. We left 15% and that was overly generous. Bland food and high prices. It is a no return for us.

Horrible, one is too generous. Was told at the door the wait would be 10 minutes. Waited 40. After being seated at our table, we waited another 25 minutes without a visit from a server for drinks or even a cross word. Gave up and left. Drove a half mile down the road walked right in and ate before I’m sure this place realized we had left. Ordered the same food at half the price. Steer clear if you value your time because they don’t.

I was very pleased with the chips and salsa that they brought out. It's had very good flavor and chunky. I decided to order the street tacos plate. One of each, steak, pork and chicken. The first taco I ate was a chicken and it was very dry. The second bite of the steak taco had a big piece of gristle. I didn't even try the third taco because I was full already. There was no guacamole or sour cream, only onions and cilantro. Serving sizes looked pretty large on everything I seen delivered. You would have to be very hungry to eat everything.

We stopped here for a drink while on a walk in Destin. They offer a nice variety of margaritas. The drinks come in two sizes small and a more normal size cocktail. I had the Blood Orange margarita. It was delicious though I must warn you it doesn't taste much like a margarita. My husband had mojito which he said was good as well. He ordered the smaller beverage and i have to say there isn't much there. The drinks are expensive. The larger size drink is over $15. They brought some chips and asked if we wanted to order some queso or guac. We ordered the queso. They queso came in a soup bowl and was pretty full. We each had a couple of tacos as well. The chicken tacos are great as are the steak tacos. The restaurant is a bit high priced. Probably because it is in the land of tourists. It was the first bill my husband blinked at. lol. The queso is $12. We were a little surprised because we hadn't seen it in double digits yet. If they had a Happy Hour I would say it was a must try but I don't think they do. All in all the food and cocktails are good but be ready to spend some bucks.

Had never been here before but passed by it many times. Glad we stopped. Decor is very interesting and colorful. Staff is very pleasant and professional. Menu is a bit limited but all things we had came out cook perfectly and hot. We both had fajitas and we left full and very happy. Edson was our server and he was excellent. We will be back!!

Gave this place a try being that was walking distance from our condo.
If you are looking for simple menu items, this isn't the place in my opinion. Price was $20 and up for dishes (yes I know it's all about location), so we split the loaded nachos that were more than enough for 2. Salsa is a bit on the warm side and wish they would have had a milder option. Service as great.
