We experienced a wonderful dinner here. The food is a delight and the owners are lovely people who were more than happy to discuss their menu with us and the various spices used in their cooking. We are vegans and they have plenty of wonderful, flavorful options for us. Their curry was just great. A little bit of a kick... More

Found this restaurant and decided to try it and so glad we did. The curry goat and roti was delicious! The owner was friendly and the restaurant was cozy. We will definitely add this to our list of go to places to eat!

Great food and flavor for everyone. Feeding 2 vegans and 3 meat eaters with flavor is tough. Coconut tofu was crisp outside and soft on inside. Oxtail was deep and meaty. Snapper curry had some spice and sweet. Plantains. Tontines. All great. A few beers to go with it. Awesome.

A little out of the way dive that you would expect Guy Fieri to visit. The grouper wrapped in banana leaves was awesome as well as the coconut shrimp. We loved the salad. Good food and Lauren was great also!

I traveled throughout the Caribbean extensively while in the military and have longed for the flavors since leaving 20 years ago, seeing I live in the deep South in America. No where has come close to duplicating what I remembered, except......Bamboo Fire. On top of the bomb Curry Grouper (recommended by the waitress, because I was going for the Jerk),... More

Bamboo Fire Cafe is a Five Star "get authentic homemade Caribbean food" gem that is unlike any of the overpriced, over-hyped, pompous, sterile restaurants on Atlantic Avenue. This is a husband and wife run team that personally greets every customer that is lucky enough to grab one of their limited tables. They are located on 4th Avenue a few blocks... More

2nd time we ate here. Got food to go this time . Oxtails with rice and peas were delicious. We also ordered lobster Mac and cheese, which was made with orecchiette, so good. Plenty of food . Will definitely be back. Thanks for the great food

Such a wonderful little gem in a sea of overpriced, self-conscious and pretentious restaurants! The owners will probably take your order and serve you themselves, If you are lucky, they will treat you to an after-dinner shot of Guyanan rum. We all loved our food, especially the savory and dark sauced pepper pot oxtail that is made by the owner... More

A very small restaurant serviced by a lovely family. Mom in the kitchen creates wonderful Caribbean cuisine. Jerk chicken was delish. My husband had the fresh fish curry, he was ummming through the meal. Be prepared for some strong spice. The plantains were fab. We will return.
