Good breakfast and service

We were staying in the area and decided to try this place for breakfast even though reviews here have mentioned bad service. We arrived during peak breakfast time on a weekend and easily seated at a bar overlooking the beach. The service was friendly and efficient with no problems during a busy time. Our breakfast was good and priced fair given the location and portions that are served. Did not care for the breakfast potatoes but everything else was very good. They do have a limited number of outdoor patio tables, which is a pleasant spot to enjoy the views and fresh air.

Great oceanfront breakfast

This place is at the base of the fishing Pier and has some indoor seating and alot of outdoor seating. It's all very haphazard trying to get a table. It looked busy, so I took a walk, can back and saw some open outdoor tables and got seated. Service is a bit slow and they could definitely improve their volume and tips by improving service. The portions are big... Got a ham and cheese omelet that was massive, home fries that were a bit lukewarm some dry toast with two little butter packs. Downside is your are next to the public bathrooms and have alot of traffic passing through the dining area to and from the beach and bathroom. All in all, good meal for a fair price with a view of the ocean.

Could be better!!

I had breakfast with my family,the view is awesome. The food,regular breakfast food, I like it, the service terrible,and it take long to get your food.the server look that we want to die, we don't explained our options. I have to ask for everything. He looks upset all the time. He bring my husband hot dog without any sauce and I ask if he can bring some. He bring ketchup and I ask for mustard and he look at me like he wants to kill me 😂. It is a shame because the view is awesome,the food is not bad , but the service is horrendous.And the menu doesn't show everything they have,when you pass by the kitchen you can see muffins and sweet stuff and they are no on the menu. After all said is up to you.Giid luck!

Service seems to be an issue

I got great scrambled eggs and large, fluffy pancakes for breakfast, served promptly and hot. The price was $16 with good coffee - pretty steep but probably typical for a prime beach-side location. Problem was that, the waitress at the bar just nodded in my direction and invited me to sit anywhere I wanted, I did, in clear sight of the bar, but was then ignored for 5 minutes until I finally flagged down one of the other wait staff. During that time no one offered the menu, coffee, anything. And I counted 5 wait staff and only 4 customers! I was willing to think this was just an anomaly, but I see that other recent reviewers had similar experiences.

Nice view, poor service

Had lunch here on Weds March 10, 2021. We were able to choose our own table, but it took a while for any waitstaff to stop by. We should have known this was going to be a long lunch. The drink order was incorrect, but we decided to continue anyway. Our meal took much too long to arrive, even though other tables were serviced much more quickly (different waitress). Our food finally arrived, barely warm. Couldn't send it back because we were now under a time constraint. I'd be willing to give this establishment another chance, but be aware you may have a long wait for your meal.

Pay for the view

Eggs Benedict was like a hard boiled egg cut open on an English muffin, and chicken sandwich was as dry as the sand. I also moved an umbrella over for my daughters and got scolded by management. If you didn’t want me to move a broken umbrella, as I was helping you, you should seriously have a staff member check that umbrellas are functioning properly before opening up. Reason I gave this place 2 stars was our server Anne, she was a real sweetheart!

Up-charge

It took 10 minutes for our server to come to our table. It took another 10 minutes for our food when others seated after us got their food first. The food was cold when we got it. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the yolk was extremely cooked. There was not enough hollandaise sauce, so I asked for more. It was a $2 up charge for the sauce. It would have been nice if they told us about the up-charge before they brought it.

Nice spot for breakfast

We picked a day where the sun was having problems appearing. We had to wait for our table and once we were seated the old dishes were removed and the table wiped down. Anne, our waitress, was very nice and professional. The coffee ($3.00 each) arrived quickly and then we gave her our orders. We ordered the BLT Benedict ($14.99), The Classic ($11.99) and an order of Avocado toast ($10.99). Considering how busy they were and also short staffed, our meals arrived fairly quickly. We had no complaints. Everything was very tasty. Enjoy!!

Rushed Out

I come here every year and never had a problem. I brought my daughter at lunchtime on a warm sunny day. Outside, it was fairly busy, but inside was nearly empty. Our server was fine, and I have no complaints about the food. I barely had the last bite on my fork when the server put the bill on the table. There was no offer for coffee. As I took the bill, the man clearing the tables asked if I was finished and quickly took away our dishes. I couldn't understand why we were being rushed out. I got the feeling they were just trying to get rid of us, but my daughter and I couldn't figure out why.

Don’t waste your time or money here.

Walked in the front door and was ignored by 3 employees even when I asked the nearest employee if we should seat ourselves we was still ignored. So we sat ourselves down inside and then watched as the waitresses assisted people that came in after us who went straight to the back outside. So we got up and did the same. After sitting on the patio we was still ignore again while others who wondered in was acknowledged. So I finally loudly asked for menus to the closest waitress. Finally!! We got service after that. Once we got service the waitress did a good job but the food was mediocre. I’m not a picky person but there was nothing great about it and wouldn’t revisit this restaurant. Side Note: Any employee who is closest to the entrance should be acknowledging the guests right away with “Just one moment.” “Someone will be right with you” “Sit any where you’d like” whatever. Not just look at them and wonder away.

Nice location!

The restaurant is right on the beach and provides a beautiful view while dining. The problem here is the service is sooo slow. The wait staff ignored us after passing out table several times. Really rude!!! The food was acceptable. They really have a great local and it’s a great draw too bad they lack in service.

Completely ignored

Went yesterday 1/24/21. Asked if we seat ourselves and were told yes, so we sit outside at a table and 3 servers walked past us including a bus boy and not one person asked us if we were being helped and no one came to even take our order. A table was seated after us and got service right away. It was very annoying and unacceptable. So we got up and left.

Good food...

The food here was very good. We primarily ate breakfast here daily on our trip. Everything tasted very fresh. The avocado toast was a huge hit! Unfortunately, one of the waiters we had was not very friendly and seemed more annoyed that we was waiting on tables...hence the 4-star rating.

A Great Start To The Day

Great beach front cafe with a large menu and reasonable prices. Perfect for a full breakfast before heading to the airport. Menu included the usual egg combinations, but also fresh waffles, and pancakes. Also instead of potatoes you you can get a small fresh fruit portion. Will go back!

Great breakfast and lunch spot by the Deerfield Beach pier!

The Deerfield Beach Cafe has a wonderful menu with many varied breakfast and lunch options. The service is prompt and the food was very good. We enjoyed breakfast inside in the air conditioning on a very hot day. This is a very convenient location near the Wyndham Deerfield Beach hotel and the Deerfield pier and beach.
