My group of friends and I boated up to the spacious dock of Caribbean Jacks for lunch. The server was very attentive and personable and the food was delicious. We were able to sit outside and listen to the musician, we were not rushed and was a great experience, The fish tacos were amazing! Fun place, great atmosphere, and we will definitely be back!

Gage is fantastic! My girlfriend remembered him from the last time she was at Caribbean Jacks and Gage walked up to the table and immediately passed great energy! As enthusiastic as he was confident.. Gage is the main reason I would come back to this restaurant. He knew all of the items on the menu like the back of his hands, refilled our waters & condiments without us having to ask, and he’s great to have a conversation with. Gage is just a great guy all around! And the food was incredible. I basically grew up in the water up in Maryland and my standards for seafood are very high.. but this restaurant.. incredible. Five stars!!

My teenage son and I grabbed lunch here on the way to a college tour after our originally chosen restaurant wasn’t open. I’m so glad we found this place! We sat outside with a view of the water in one of their unique glider booths (which was fun!). He had grilled Mahi and I had a veggie burger (glad that they had a solid vegan/vegetarian option). Our server, Lindsey, was great-just right in attentiveness and getting us what we needed, and when I told her we were under a time crunch, she got us our food and check quickly. I would definitely return.

Great atmosphere but food was just mediocre at best. The artichoke dip was rather tasteless and served with chips just thrown in the plate. The house salad was good and a nice portion. Fried shrimp basket was greasy and not very appealing.
Service was good.
This place is popular I think for the view but you can get better food other places.

Had one of the best meals ever here tonight. Xochil was a fantastic server from start to finish, very friendly and attentive, keeping our glasses refilled. It was a relaxed atmosphere with an awesome guitar player performing on the lit patio. We sat in a swinging booth, which our kids loved. On Xochil's recommendation I ordered the shrimp and scallops in lobster sauce. It was amazing! Chef's kiss. We finished with the bananas foster, which we devoured. Delish! We'll be back soon!

this is my first review on Trip advisor and the biggest reason for this review is to express what a terrible experience we had on Monday Sept 27th.
My wife and I were excited to go for dinner we heard good things and I wanted the Grouper dinner (Market Price)
Our server was very much non attentive and my Grouper filet was horrible with gristle and half cooked. I do like sushi but not for Grouper.
The only good thing about dinner was the rum cake dessert.
Not sure we will ever good back with only 6 nights for dinner on vaction this was a wasted experience

We came for dinner Thanksgiving week and walked right in. Sat on the patio and enjoyed the live music. They also had these cute swing Luke tables we were really intrigued by.
Food was great and reasonably priced. The server was very attentive. Kids meals came with ice cream which was a crowd favorite.

We had really crappy service to start with. Hostess was unfriendly and flung the menus on the table, walked away with barely saying a word. We waited 30 minutes for our first set of drinks, and never got refills even though we asked. The food was average, I've had better, but I was trying to support a business I don't see back home and that I've never been to.
The grouper made my fiancé extremely sick out both ends to the point I almost took him to urgent care or ended our trip early. For two adults, one appetizer and two entrees.... $100 for nothing that wasn't even worth it. Do not recommend this restaurant. The only good thing I will say is that the views are great and the outdoor seating is good and shaded.

Caribbean Jacks in Daytona Beach is an interesting place. On the river, it has outdoor swinging dining. It was threatening rain so we opted to stay inside. Visiting there in mid-afternoon we were surprised at how many diners were there. I think we got the last spot in the parking lot. But they do have overflow parking across the street.
They offer several twists on traditional dishes. As a Reuben sandwich lover, I was drawn to the Fish Reuben - haddock grilled or blackened with Swiss cheese and remoulade on marbled rye. I got it grilled and it was quite tasty. My wife tried a crispy chicken salad and we shared some hot pretzels. Both were very good.
Service was a little slow, as I had to wait for my check, but overall our server was attentive.

Very disappointed. Yesterday was my birthday and I was excited for dinner. I ordered the gator tail appetizer and the gator tail tacos. My husband got a burger and ordered it medium rare as we both like pink and juicy burgers.
His burger was burned and way over cooked. Past the well done stage. It was dry and no pink at all.
My gator was terrible. it was also way over cooked. Way to tough and dry. It was almost like they placed it in a microwave to heat back up.
We will never go back there again nor will we recommend it others coming into town for vacation.

Traveling and stopped here. Definite mistake. The place is big with indoor and outdoor seating. Wait staff friendly. There was a very long wait for a table and food was extremely slow to come out. Kitchen cant handle crowd. Nothing special about food. Most likely all frozen , pre packaged from Cheney Bros or other. Very expensive for quality of food. Food overall was fair to poor didn't finish meal was that bad. Typical tourist trap.
Restaurant was very noisy and absolutely FILTHY everywhere. Would not go back.
Try elsewhere.

A very crowded and noisy restaurant. We were seated outside near the band stand and could barely hear our waiter or talk to each other. I made the mistake of ordering a manhattan (never order higher end mixed drinks from a place the serves drinks in coconuts) because the waiter said their bartender could make one. It was cool not cold like it should be and there wasn’t a cherry in the drink. It’s not a manhattan if there isn’t a cherry. While our meals tasted good they all came warm not hot. The key lime pie did not have the tartness one expects from key lime. Disappointing.

My first time here. Saw it from the bridge many times and said we should come here one day.
The menu is full of good sounding dishes. This is a really nice location for a waterfront restaurant. Hopefully, you'll get a table outside.
We got a table fairly quickly. Our wastes, Cory was awesome. She was very helpful with helping us choose the perfect dish. We put in our drink selections and the chowder for 3 of our 5 folks. The soups came quickly and if this was any indication of what our meal was gonna be like, we were in for a great meal. In other words, the clan chowder was fantastic. A ton of clam and a bunch of flavor. We placed our main course selections. Jerk Chicken, Grouper, Gater, and Tilapia. After a few drinks for everyone, we got our main course.
Everyone said that their meal was really good. Nice pieces of fish with nice sides. Coleslaw, hush puppies, and veggies. The Jerk Chicken was very different. Court told me that in the beginning. She even brought out a sample of the sweet and Jerk sauce they use. It was OK. But the dish was even more different because of the cream they use. The dish was better than expected. The gator bites were way better than others I've tried.
Everyone enjoyed their meal. We were all satisfied, and plenty full.
I recommend this place. A must, in Daytona.

While in town on vacation a friend of mine recommended my wife and I meet them at Caribbean Jacks for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was predictably crowded but we were able to be seated within a couple minutes of arrival since we chose a table inside instead of the outdoor patio area. The food we ordered, (shrimp baskets w/fries) came out fresh and hot and was very tasty. The quantity was a tad disappointing considering the price being charged but I guess that is to be expected when dining at a popular tourist stop. But the server was very polite and attentive to our needs. Overall I would say it was an enjoyable place to dine. The one really negative comment I would have is that their parking area in front of the restaurant is way too small for the size of the place and takes no time at all to fill up with vehicles. Which forces you to park in a lot across the street that requires a pretty decent length walk. Which would not be ideal on a night with bad weather conditions.

Was so excited to go but was mediocre. Service so- so. Had to ask for refills. Ate out on patio which was nice. Food was blah and seemed like a long wait to be served, the place was not that busy. Had a brownie with ice cream, good but 4 people could not even finish it. Shared nachos and were good, just more fruity. Taco chips need to select a new brand or make your own, borderline stale
