We have a friend that's a local and she loves this place. We decided to fuel up here for breakfast our last morning in town. It was a very cheerful and friendly place. The food was delicious and affordable. Only draw back was the lack...of parking. The lot is small. We had to pay to park one street over.More

Servers were wearing masks completely under their noses. We did not stay to eat as the server who came to our table barely had her mask over her mouth much less her nose. I work in a hospital and have remained covid free due to...proper PPE. Don't feel like taking a chance eating at a diner where apparently they don't care about customer safety. The server who came to table was not the only one not wearing a mask correctly.More

I had a breakfast special, the eggs were good but the pancakes were too heavy. Service was very good!

We stopped at another place next door for a sandwich and my wife wanted soup. The other place recommended Starlite Diner and they had soup. She asked for soup and they brought a large cup of hot chicken noodle. It was delicious. The broth was...seasoned nicely and all of the other ingredients went well with it. The serving staff was friendly and the price was quite right. We went back for a late breakfast the next day. Different staff but just as friendly. Belgian waffle and bacon for me, eggs, sausage, grits, home fries and toast for my wife. We enjoyed our meals and wold go back.More

Cute 50's diner! I had the special which was smothered pork chops and it was almost hanging off my plate! they were cooked to perfection.. Mashed potatoes were just ok. We also had french toast, a burger and fried chicken sandwich. They all were run...of the mill, ok, diner food.. I would definitely pay attention to the specials. I was impressed with it.More

We tried breakfast at the Starlite Diner this week while on vacation in Daytona Beach based on tripadvisor reviews. It's a 1950's style diner, reasonably priced. Here were some pros and cons: Pros: 1. The food is reasonably priced (very similar to Waffle House breakfast...prices) 2. The good location (so close to our vacation hotel room on Atlantic Ave that it is within walking distance) 3. Even though it was very busy, we were able to get a table fast, and the food was brought quickly 4. COVID procedures are in place. The staff wore masks, and cleaned tables thoroughly but quickly 5. You can order breakfast all day, which is nice if you're keeping vacation hours or you're in the mood for breakfast at other times of the day besides morning. 6. The 1950's diner atmosphere is fun Cons: 1. We ordered a breakfast bowl, the 2 egg combo, and french toast. It's typical diner breakfast food so we weren't expecting magic. The food was just okay. We had no major complains with it, and no big compliments either. There were 3 of us eating, and 2 of the 3 said afterward that they'd rather go to a Waffle House instead. The home fries were a little overcooked, but not enough to ask for a replacement. The french toast was a little more toast than french toast (not much egg on it) but not bad enough to send it back. Again, it's typical diner breakfast food, and it was busy at that time of day. I was more impressed with how fast the food was brought to us than the quality of it. When you're serving a lot of food very fast, the quality slips a bit but it was not enough for us to make a complaint or send anything back. 2. The waitress was working very hard to clean and serve the food as fast as possible so she didn't have time to be friendly. She was a little brusque, but very efficient. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a fun diner atmosphere with average breakfast food, served fast. It's not incredibly memorable, but it's a solid, convenient place for breakfast and the prices are reasonable.More

One of the best diners I have been too. Anytime we are in Daytona Beach we stop here. The diner is themed in the 50s. Red leather booths or stools at the counter. Staff very friendly and attentive. Place very clean. Pricing is more than...fair. Portions are large and very tasty. Went there for lunch today. We had a cheeseburger and a turkey club both came with fries. The waitress was telling us about their desserts. Anything from old time banana splits to freshly baked brownies with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. She mention that the portions are huge. We will have to go back one night just for dessert. We will definitely return to the Starlite Diner.More
