Made a reservation for 4 people at 6. We showed up a little early. I checked in at host desk and told them I was wrong and we had 5 in our group. She stated she could not accommodate us now , they were sold...out. Place had several open 4 tops where a chair could have easily been added. The hostess did not want to try to seat us. We saw the bar had 3 seats open so we sat down there and then was lucky enough to have 2 seats open next to us. So we stayed there and ate. Bartender was really over busy. When 2nd bartender arrived to help we were finally able to get her to take are food order. Food as usual was very good. My rating is reflected because their lack of customer satisfaction and trying to accommodate us was lacking and bartender way to busy. Need more bartenders to be on at a Friday evening and a hostess that could try to be a bit nicer. Hyde Park your a high end restaurant need to up the service level too match your pricing!More

Very good food. Did not have the steak, but had the wedge salad and french onion soup. Both were very good. The cheese cake with cherries was also very good. Very friendly service.

We enjoyed an excellent anniversary dinner here and received absolutely excellent service and very high quality food. The 8oz Jarrett filet migon could not have been better and the 8oz Ernhardt filet with lobster bearnaise was also prepared to perfection. Our waiters were Bruce and...Mark and they both performed flawlessly. The grill temperature of 1,800° really delivers a most delicious steak. It is not inexpensive but delivers real value. Our dessert of well caramelized creme brulee was a perfect finish.More

The food was great. Service was lacking as we sat quite a while waiting to place our drink order and longer to place our meal order. Atmosphere was elegant, but the meal prices were not in line with the family style resort and lack of...service.More

My best friend got married on the hotel property and we took them to dinner at Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse to celebrate. We had a drink while we waited on the table. We were seated and given menus. Our server took our order and offered...us bread...twice. That was the last time we saw the server until she brought the bill. My husband order surf and turf medium rare, I ordered filet mignon medium well, and the bride ordered a $76.00 ribeye of the day medium rare. Both of their steaks were rare (cold inside) and my steak was medium rare at best. A gentleman (possibly a manager) noticed me looking for our server and asked if I needed help. I showed him my steak and he apologized and took it back to the kitchen. I mentioned we still had not received any bread. A bread basket was eventually brought to the table. All of the entrees are a la cart and sides are served family style. When my steak was returned my sides were gone. We had split the sides between the 4 of us so they basically threw $10 worth of food away. He offered to "see if he could get" me something else as a side. I declined. I also mentioned we had not seen our server and he said he would serve us and brought the drinks we ordered. We ended up throwing away a good part of the steaks because they were raw. They gave us a complimentary dessert...2 tiny individual size cakes. That was fun to divide between 4 people. The server laid the check on the table and left again. Overall, we paid over $300 (no discount was given) for a mediocre meal and bad service. For that much money the chef at a steak house should know how to cook a steak. It was very disappointing. We are locals and will not return.More

The steaks were ridiculously tender, cooked to perfection. The Onion soup was some of the best French onion I have ever had. Beautiful view. attentive servers. Which you would expect from the caliber of this restaurant.

Enjoyed a great dinner at Hyde Park over the weekend. Location on the patio overlooking the beach with the sound of the surf was great, tables nicely spaced and quiet. Service was very prompt with replacement tea and water brought before we asked for it....Appetizers arrived very fast. Main courses were prepared very well. I enjoyed the lamb and we also had a beautiful filet. Lobster mac n cheese had real chunks of lobster Yes, mains are a little more expensive than elsewhere, but this was an awesome dinner and hard pressed to find a better meal in Daytona, great experience.More

The manager Eric Black was very rude and disrespectful. It started raining on our dinner and he would not seat us inside.

No - tip should be 15-20% depending on service. Remember wait staff depend on tips to eek out a living.
