This place is amazing. Everyone is friendly and is there to have a good time. If you like to dance or if you like country music, you have to try it. I usually go for a girls’ night with friends. They have Ladies’ Nights Wednesdays...and Fridays. There’s a line dancing lesson at 8 and it’s all you can drink well drinks after 9. I’ve also gone to family night on Sunday for the lesson with my mom and she had a blast. She already wants to go back. I highly recommend this place to everyone.More

Being a country music fan myself I was very keen to visit Roundup with some work colleagues whilst visiting Fort Lauderdale on a work trip. I was anticipating a fun night out for all to enjoy however the service and attitude from the staff was...shocking from the get go which was the security officer on the door searching the bags. At the entrance the lady who was taking the cover charge didn't explain to us that we could either pay $10 cover or there was an option for an unlimited drinks package. As I had already visited the website I knew about package otherwise im pretty sure she wouldn't have told us anything about it. We paid our $30 each but as we arrived before it started 9pm we had to buy some drinks from the main bar which was not an issue. At this time we also ordered some food and was told wait would be approx. 10-15mins. We found a table and waited, and waited and waited. At one point I approached a staff member to ask if the food would be brought to our table or if we had to collect it from the bar, her reaction was to look at her watch then tell me she hadn't started her shift yet but that it would be brought to us. I went back to the table and we waited some more ...... eventually again I approached the bar and our food order was just sitting there so I ended up carrying it to the table myself despite there being several waitresses stood apparently doing nothing, I then had to go back for cutlery which was practically thrown at me when I asked, no condiments were brought over to the table. The drinks that we paid $30 for were served from a separate bar (only positive thing being it was less busy), barman made no eye contact or acknowledged us when we approached, practically threw the drinks down on the bar, clean ashtrays were slammed down on the table and no one came to take away our dirty plates so I ended up piling them up myself and moving them to an empty table until someone could be bothered to remove them. I have been in places where you might get the odd member of staff who may be having an off day but never have I been in a place where every single member of staff we encountered were so rude and obnoxious and made us feel very unwelcome. We were a mixed group from UK, Italy & Denmark ........ I am not sure if the fact we were not local had something to do with how we were treated or if that is how they treat all of their customers. We enjoyed watching the dancing and the music was good, that part was entertaining but we cut our night short and left because to be honest there are much nicer places I would rather spend my time and my money. The management of this establishment really need to review their staff and perhaps give some coaching on customer service ........... bar staff had a damn cheek to expect to be tipped. The only tip in life they deserve is "don't eat yellow snow" !!!!More

Management team needs to take a deep look into their staff, let me clarify UNDER-STAFF. The reason I started with horrible service is because the whole restaurant section only had ONE girl covering both sides of this place. She kept apologizing to us but it's...not her fault. She needed help. Then the food is over priced for the quality you get. Better food cross the street and eat at Rob's Bar-B-Q. Cheaper and way better. The only positive is the "eye candy" and the classes they have. Music is OK at best.More

I've visited a few times while in Fort Lauderdale for vacation and have tried to like this, but it just isn't a country swing venue like a person would think by googling this place. This is a "line dancing" club in the sense that 90%...of the dances are line dances. However, they do not offer Copperhead Road, Whiskey Drinkin SOB, or any line that the rest of America does. Every forty minutes, the caller will announce that a cowboy cha cha tune is being played, which is then followed by a chance to "east-coast swing", but then it's right back to the line dances. Also, for a "country western" club they sure play a lot of pop music for the line dances. (I've never heard a single Dierks Bentley song played once here) If you don't know the line dances, you'll be inclined to leave the dance floor because they're not something you'll just pickup casually: they are based on an eight count and go for a length of 64 beats usually. If you go to the free lessons offered in the early evening, you get a chance to learn 2-4 songs to dance to. Yay, 12 minutes of your being able to dance when the caller tells you to! 😒 The rest of the time, there isn't enough space on the floor to even dance around the line dancers if you can 2-step or swing. Strangely enough, their versions of line dances that I personally know are unique from what I've encountered around the country in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and Kentucky. It's a strange venue where people go to dance by themselves as a group 😜. As an out-of-towner, I would say the cover is not worth it. So, show up early to avoid the cover and get some good seats for watching the dance floor.More

What an amazing experience I had for a birthday party here at Round Up!!! Oh my gosh my girls and I enjoyed every minute of this experience. The line dancing, the atmosphere, the food, drinks, and service was outstanding. We certainly enjoyed putting our boots...to the floor and learning a new style of dance. The regulars were so pleasant and welcoming showing and teaching us the moves. Guess what? My crew and I will definitely return soon!!!More

Had a blast with my Boo!!! Loved every minute of the music, dancing and watching the people. Even better close to home and a quick Uber ride away.

Right off the bat they charge a $10 cover for a place where the music is trash and you can't touch the dance floor unless you know how to line-dance. Otherwise the DJ literally grabs the Mic and tells you to get off the floor...and if you don't security will escort you out. This place is specifically for people with no rhythm and their ridiculous mandatory dancing is pure evidence of that. Not to mention the ladies night which is free drinks but they're terrible! Straight battery acid! Save your money and take your brilliant dance moves somewhere else!More

The line dancing lesson are free and that is cool if you are wanting to learn. The dancing is fun and the atmosphere is lively. The biggest drawback is there is only set dancing on the floor. If you don't know the steps you are...out of luck.More
