Wow delicious a ten star chef on a local hidden street. What a gem I have found. I only ordered the roast duck and the dumplings and it’s the best food I’ve had in a while. It’s a little pricey but spend the money on...quality. You can’t buy food that has quality cheap. You will not be disappointed. And it doesn’t hurt that the staff is really kind & helpful to guide you with the authentic menu.More

Located in a very low end shopping center, the workers were not dressed well at all. The place looked like mess even though you were not allowed in but had to place orders throw window. I ordered combination plate and asked for ribs NOT to...be cut up,,, They were cut up. Also ordered duck which was incredible greasy and got 9 ounces! ordered soy checking and got two tiny pieces. Ribs were a few ounces. Would never go again. I hope the board of health inspects them regularly. Peking Duck House was a thousand times better with much better duck. I seldom give bad reviews but I have etEN IN HONG KONG many times and this was NOT a hong kong restaurant or take out, whatever you call it. Would not advise going!More

Went to Tasty Cafe last month. A little disappointed that there was no dine in. However the food we took out was awesome. Ordered 3 dishes. Two were what we generally order from “authentic” Hong Kong style restaurants. The first was beef chow fun. As...good as we had in Florida and close to NYC Chinatown restaurants. The second was my wife’s favorite, salt fish/chicken fried rice. Also as good as it gets. The third dish was new to us. It was salted duck egg yolk and shrimp fried rice. AWESOME! Headed to Area again next Wednesday. Will order takeout again.More

If you know Cantonese food then this is the place for you. This is by far the best Cantonese cuisine restaurant perhaps in all of the East Coast. The feel is just right, awesome meals and drinks. We've visited a few times and this restaurant...has exceeded our expectations time and time again.More

My husband and I went on Saturday afternoon to try this place for the first time. We had eaten next door at Pho 79 a few times and noticed this place the week before as we walked by and stopped in to take a look...at that time. Help was very nice and understood English and was helpful. We ordered the 1/2 Roast Duck which was delicious. Probably the best we have ever had. Also had a pound of BBQ pork ribs. They chop the ribs into small pieces which we didn’t know before hand. Next time we will ask to keep them in whole pieces like traditional ribs. The Yang Chow Fried Rice was also good but for 9.50 could of had more ham and shrimp in it They really skimped on that. Yesterday I ordered take out of soup. 2 orders of dumplings soup and I thought they came with noodles. When I got to the restaurant to pick up the order I saw that there were no noodles. They did add noodles as it doesn’t come with the dumpling soup and charged an extra 2.00/ soup. I added a wonton soup that did come with noodles but when I got home saw there were only 4 shrimp wontons where the menu said 8 pieces for 7.95. All in all we definitely would be back to eat in but next time I will check my takeout order more carefully.More

Situated in Davie, to the west of Ft. Lauderdale and Hollywood it's miles off the beach and the downtown tourist joints. This is the Carriage Hills Shopping Center at the NW corner of Davie rd & Stirling with quite a few restaurants, Thai, Vietnamese &...Chinese along with a huge super market devoted to imported oriental, latino, mid-eastern foods! Wow, all in one spot for you affionados! Tasty Cafe is a small, neat, business-like restaurant with pictures of many dishes on the wall & hanging, roasted duck & pork in the open kitchen. Sit down and 2 or 3 waitresses will serve you quickly and efficiently. OK, they all are not total fluent in English but so what. The menu is gorgeous, large color pictures of all the main players....so you can check out the dishes you dont know. Its not NYC or Hong Kong but this place is spot-on. Firstly, the whole duck ($25), then a lb. of roast pork belly($12), then the salted egg & shrimp fried rice($10) & finally the beef brisket tendon with rice($9). 4 mains for 2 people, a lot to take home!!! Their menu is very exciting with alot of dishes not normally served in the USA. Yes, its Cantonese-style but with more dishes than you would expect. The duck was as good as I've had recently. The roast pork belly was to die for, crispy, crunchy, juicy & favorful. The egg shrimp fried rice dish was interesting. THe beef tenons were OK, just didnt stand out against the pork & duck. They offer a lot of appetizers and specialty drinks as well. I look forward to coming back very soon, they're so, so many dishes I want to try. So no frills, good value, great service. They double-wrapped in plastic my take-home stuff, very nice..More

Went in with expectations and left surprised and oh so satisfied. Other than going to NYC's of SF's Chinatown or traveling to China, this as good as it gets locally. The Duck is crispy, tasty and you can buy portions with is fantastic. The wok...fried chinese broccoli in garlic sauce was incredible. Had the pork belly which comes with white rice. Pork belly was delicious but it could of been paired with their fried rice for a tastier version. Price range is very affordable, service is attentive and decore is spare but charming and appropiate for the. We where the only caucasians at the venue which should tell you something. We will most certainly be back for all the other goodies I saw on the menuMore

Tasty Café is situated in a spot with numerous Asian restaurants and a magnificent grocery store. Tasty is Hong Kong/Cantonese, and you have to know what you're ordering. The menu has few explanations on it, and the staff's English is limited. But their Singapore Noodles...are delicious--best I've had locally. The noodles have a curry sauce, which is actually quite subtle, and includes beef, pork, chicken, shrimp, and egg, with a few carrots and scallions. So it's a bit rustic, but I certainly enjoyed my meal there, and will return to try other things.More

I'm used to Chinese food but not Chinese BBQ so this was an experience. Has the ducks hanging in view and most signs in Chinese but you can easily figure out what to order. I had the triple meat combination over rice which was only...$12.95. Just one thing to know, when the cut breast of any fowl into pieces, it's bone in. Other than that, an experience of another culture. Everyone else eating there was Asian so it most be authentic.More

Was in the area from Miami with my boyfriend looking for a filling affordable meal when thanks to Yelp we discovered Tasty Cafe Restaurant. The reviews hinted at authentic Chinese food and great meats so it was an easy choice for me. We got there...a couple hours before closing and this small restaurant was pretty packed with other Asians which always seems to be a good sign! They were pretty hectic and service seemed to be a little slow but they only had three people working there whom were taking care of take-out orders, all the tables, and the food. They were extremely nice though but I had to walk up to the counter multiple times to get certain things like our drinks and silverware. The food was definitely the highlight as it should be! They had a pretty wide large menu so I definitely over ordered for my boyfriend and I; we ended up taking home so much food that we had a full meal from the leftovers the next day. For appetizers we started with an order of steamed pork dumplings which was only $3.95 for 10. These were pretty average. Next we ate Youtiao which is Chinese Deep-Fried Dough sticks and a personal favorite. They served them fresh and cut down for you at only $2.50. They also had Congee which I had never seen in America before. Congee is a Chinese rice porridge which I recommend getting the pork and egg with but since it was my boyfriends first time getting it we just got plain congee for $3.50. We received our Brisket Beef Tendon with Radish next which was AMAZING if you love tendon and had a full bodied savory flavor. We ended up adding it to our Congee which was delicious! For our main entrees we shared the vegetable stir fry $7.95 which was HUGE and I highly recommend it to vegetarians and carnivores alike since you could tell they use in house rice noodles with a smokey flavor. We had this with our double meats combo plate which came with generous rice; we wanted to get all three meats (duck, crispy pork, and roast pork) but they were out of the crispy pork. While we were eating here too I noticed that they were selling out of many items and had to turn away some customers that wanted the duck so come early! All in all I was very happy with my meal and authentic flavor offered at this unsuspecting Chinese restaurant. I would recommend it to those looking for a casual/affordable meal! IG: @KFitzEatsMore
