Had a business meeting and ordered in from the My Big Fat Greek Restaurant. I ordered the My Big Fat Greek Greek Salad, romaine lettuce, vine-ripe tomatoes, onions, dill, feta cheese, olives, and extra virgin olive oil. Comes with a side of Hummus and pita...bread. The salad is just ordinary.More

Looks can be deceiving. The place at first glance when you walk in the door seems like just a run-of-the-mill restaurant bordering a dead-end canal. Nothing special. The weather this December day was warm. I took a table outside. The tables out there were socially...distanced and overlooked the canal. The chairs were very comfortable. They seemed to be made of something like rattan in a basket weave. An overhang warded off the sun, which otherwise would have drawn a bead on diners outside, on this cloudless day, and kept me in the shade. My server was Vlad. He promptly brought me bread and hummus while I awaited my entrée. The bread was thick-sliced white that was fresh and doughy though not warm. The hummus had a garlic tinge to it. I ordered the large portion of stuffed peppers, which came with Greek potties and mixed vegetables. The bread I was done with, having eaten only one slice of it. I told Vlad to take it off the table. He didn't want to waste it, so he said he'd give it to the birds. With that, he broke the bread into pieces and tossed them into the canal. Sevetal floating ducks materialized and made short work of the bread before they disappeared. The entrée was delicious. The bill came to $20 before tax, a definite bargain.More

Simply the best AUTHENTIC GREEK food. . Maybe not “fancy” but worth the trip. Going here for years. On Griffin Road halfway between 95 and the turnpike. Perfect location coming or going to the airport!

Went for lunch and ordered the roast chicken…small and dried out. Had appetizer of hot pepper feta cheese…very good. Service was good but underwhelmed with the food. Will try again to validate my experience.

We went with ten people. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers, dinners and desserts, plus they make great cocktails. Great service. The mandolin player was excellent and a lot of fun. Bravo.

I once made the mistake of coming here for lunch at peak lunch time on a weekday. The place was then packed. Parking spaces weren't readily available. The interior dining room was crowded. Forget about social distancing. So today I made it a point to...get here shortly after it opened for lunch. Plenty of parking places. There's outside dining available on the covered patio by the road. It was lovely weather, and I wanted to sit outside. There's are also tables outside along the canal to the north, which is where I got a table that was isolated and had no other diners nearby. I ordered stuffed peppers, which were stuffed with rice and ground beef. Very tasty. The meal came with veggies, which were mostly peas, and came with Greek potatoes. Plain bread was part of the meal. Overall the food was good though not outstanding. The price was reasonable. Service was friendly.More

I love Greek food. I was visiting and searched for a Greeek restaurant. I found My Big Fat Greek Restaurant and decided to try it. Mistake # 1 I ordered the eggplant platter Mistake # 2 Best word I can come up with to describe...my meal is HORRIBLE!!!! The Greek Salad was iceberg lettuce, litle cheeses and half a tomato. I LOVE GREEK SALADS!! This was a poor excuse for a Greek salad. Not even close.More

I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of their food, the service and indoor and outdoor seating on a canal. On Friday and Saturday evenings they have a belly dancer to entertain you and your family. They always bring you hummus with fresh baked...bread that they bake as soon as you sit down. Their hummus is made with white beans and is phenomenal. We ordered the small traditional Greek salad that comes without lettuce which is plenty to split between two people. I ordered tzatziki and melitzanosalata with shrimp saganaki as my meal. My boyfriend had the stuffed flounder that was on special. I also highly recommend their octopus although we didn’t have it this time. Everything here is good. I’ve been coming for many years and never had a bad meal here. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

Met our son and his girlfriend there for dinner last night. Nice place, outdoor seating with decent menu. My son liked his gyro platter and my wife's chicken soulvaki platter was good too. My son's girlfriend's salmon was OK, and my spanakopita was mediocre; I've...had much better elsewhere. My saganaki was really good, though. We had a couple of bakalava's for dessert, and they too were just OK; seemed to be missing something. Danny was our server, and was friendly. When he brought the food out, everything came our at once, except my wife's chicken, which came about 5 minutes later. He didn't really check back much during our meal. Oh, they told me when I called earlier in the week that they don't take reservations, but there was a table that was reserved....... Overall, OK place, but next time we're in the area, we'll try someplace else.More

Boy, is this place great! Right on a canal, this restaurant has some charm. The dinners we chose were excellent! The lamb chops (5) were cooked to order & delicious. They were accompanied by traditional Greek peas and roasted potatoes. What a treat! Hubby ordered...a gyro platter & he was very pleased as well. The platter had a small Greek salad & smaller portions of the peas & potatoes.More

We ordered in for the family. I had a very simple order, a Greek Salad without onions and a Grilled Chicken Pita wrap without onions. I don't mind cooked onions, but nothing is more repulsive on a dish than raw onion. The chicken pita wrap...had no onions and was delicious. However, my salad was drowning in Onions. I literally spent 15 minutes tossing and turning the salad and removed over 100 pieces of onion. This took all enjoyment of my meal, ruined any value, and showed a lack of communication somewhere inside. I have enjoyed meals from here before, but from now on, any take-out will have to be carefully examined. If they mess up again, I will go elsewhere.More

I've eaten here many times over the years. The food is always tasty and plentiful. The staff are efficient and, in these COVID days, thankfully masked. Booths and tables are sufficiently spaced.
