This is just another spot in south florida that has been in business for a long time. When you find somewhere that has stood the test of time, it has to be better than everything else around. Service and food were fantastic and will always make this a stop when in south florida!!!!

We stopped at Grampa's for breakfast and must say, we were pleasantly surprised. I expected a run down place that served good food. Instead, the place was well maintained and, from what we could see, was very clean! Upon arrival we were seated and presented with the days specials. We both (party of 2) ordered the breakfast special -- 2... More

Based on reviews wanted to check this place as I was in the area…..had an omelet - cooked perfect, yet menu was a bit confusing and waitress admitted it as to what costs what. However, good options for sides other than breads. Did not try the luscious looking desserts which I'm sure would have been great.

My son and I brought his friend here for first visit. I described the waitresses, customers, atmosphere before arriving.........he agreed I was spot on !! Waitresses are part of the experience.........they love you immediately. Coffee and warm pastries/crumb cake was brought to us within seconds. Our friend was hooked. The eggs benedict and omelets are 2/3 star........average. But the pastry and... More

Went there for breakfast cause of Guy and wasn’t impressed. I had the country fried steak and wife had simple breakfast with a side of pancakes. The pancakes were a disaster very under cooked where you see the batter in the middle. For a place that has been there forever you would think they would make their hash browns fresh.... More

Wow! Just...wow! I found this via TripAdvisor recommendations (thank you folks). It was everything you said it would be. As an avid fan of breakfast food, this place was perfect for me. The blueberry pancakes were spectacular, generously infused and obviously fresh. First they bring out two warm pasties with your coffee, how great is that! One thing, wished they... More

Driving through Dania Beach Florida we decided to give Grampa's a try since it was on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. The wait staff are super loud and friendly and there are tons of locals who obviously eat there frequently. That lets you know the food must be pretty good. The place is lively and bustling with the energy of a... More

We have eaten here many over the years, and always a great meal. Today, I met friends for breakfast. After we had finished eating, a small cockroach crawled across the table. It was called to the attention of the elderly cashier whose response was "so what".....NOT ACCEPTABLE! I will NEVER return!

I would like to personally apologize for what happened on your most recent visit to our restaurant. We take great pride in our food, service, and cleanliness and always have since we opened in 1957. I also would like to apologize for our cashier's response, but truly believe it was a misunderstanding. As you said, you have been coming here... More

This restaurant has a good menu with a variety of choices. The service was fine and the food portions were large. The rolls that come with the meals are the highlight of the trip.
