We were traveling through and stopped overnight in Crestview. Read a few reviews and decided to try this place. It's easy to pass by without noticing this building but it would rob you of a wonderful experience. The seafood is as fresh as it can be because it is both a fish market and a small restaurant.
Don't be mislead by the small size and basic decor. After all, it's the food you are there for. Our server, Jessica was a real friendly and personable waitress, as genuine as you can find. It's really great to see real down to earth people who truly care about providing the best service and food possible. Real America at its best.

Try the smoked tuna as your appetizer, it's delicious and won't disappoint! I love the pico (onion, tomato & cilantro) they put on the side! All great on crackers!!
For an entree I recommend the large gulf shrimp either fried or steamed with some Cajun seasoning, or the fried catfish!
I love their homemade french fries, truly delicious! Honestly I'm not a fan of some of the sides, but the fries are amazing. I'd avoid the cheese grits, always cold and the mandarins oranges like straight out of the can.
That is nothing however to the great taste and quality of the food! Bon appetit!

We have always loved Emerald Isle until this past weekend. When we entered to a less than half full dining room we requested a table for 4 since we needed some extra room, which the response was we can't do that since we are taking turns which made no since because it was a special request that could easily be accommodated. A couple came in right behind us and was immediately seated at a table for 4. We have always appreciated the portion sizes at Emerald Isle however I ordered the crawfish tails for $11.50 that came out in what can only be described as a small saucer with about 20 very small tails at the most. Meals were not up to par as is usually the case and it's very doubtful if we will be returning.

Passing through and stopped for supper. So glad we did! The food was fabulous and the service was super. I’m not a huge grits fan BUT the Gouda cheese grits were amazing! Fresh, hand-cut French fries were perfect! My son got the ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly and had a great taste. I had the grouper and my husband had shrimp and oysters. I can’t say it enough, fabulous food!! We will be back if ever in the area again. You will never regret eating here!!

Emerald isle seafood is number one in the area for a reason. Food was brought out fast, hot, correct and plentiful; you should not leave your hungry. Ask for Kennedy she was awesome! Friendly atmosphere! I would recommend this restaurant.

Since moving to the area from Louisiana, we have had a hard time finding a great seafood restaurant. We were so happy to have found Emerald Isle. Hubby and I both had the seafood platter. They made substitutions for us when we asked not to have clam strips. The portions were generous and we came home with a box filled with enough for another seafood platter. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She checked on us several times. After dinner we went to the market area and bought some crawfish boudin and some hog head cheese. We will be back.

This restaurant really has the best seafood and friendliest service in Crestview. It’s always our top pick and we go several times a month. Kennedy, best server ever, always treats us like royalty and the food is always cooked to perfection.

Working in Crestview and found this gem via Trip Advisor. And seeing the many Cert. Of Excellence plaques, you’ll know why Patrick O has got this got this restaurant as #1. EI serves fresh gulf selections prepared basically how you like it. Some of my favorites are the BlackJack Tuna Steak, Grilled Grouper, Mahi all prepared various ways. Appetizers are home made and the smoked tuna dip and boom boom shrimp are excellent. With great food, Emerald Isle has two awesome servers in Kennedy and Rylee. Both do a great job in making for an enjoyable dinner. And if you have room for dessert, Patrick makes a perfect Key Lime Pie. For a great dinner, you owe it to check them out.

A colleague and I visited Emerald Isle Seafood for lunch. One half of the restaurant is a seafood market and the other half is a sit-down restaurant. Our server was excellent and helpful. I ordered the fried jumbo gulf shrimp with gouda grits and a side salad. The shrimp were so fresh and tasty. The gouda grits were the real stand-out dish. They were so creamy and had an excellent flavor! I enjoyed the meal very much!

I must say, my husband and I traveled from northern VA to Fort Walton, Beach/Panama City/Pensacola to watch our son play baseball this week, and out of all the places we tried and/or had available to us, we were very, very lucky to find Emeral Isle Seafood Restaurant. The service and food were better than anything we have had in Florida, and anywhere between Virginia and Florida in quite a while. The seafood was fresh and of the highest quality and the cooks (husband and wife team) are amazing in their skills and preparation! Thank you to the cooks, the host, and the waiter and waitress who served us not once but twice during our stay in Florida.

We had not been there since 2019 because they were on limited hours because of the virus. The food quality was a good as ever and the service superb. Our waitress was Jamie who did a fabulous job of getting the food out even though they were short-handed. She also managed to take time to be friendly with her customers which made the trip even better. We keep going back for the food and service.

So many good reviews led us here, looking for a place we had not yet tried. Although I have driven by this place many times, I've never even noticed it before. A true case of "don't judge a book by its' cover." Thoroughly enjoyed the crab cakes, scallops, fish, clams, hush puppies, twice baked potato. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Stopped in at 7:55pm on a Friday night, place is packed, we are met at door, told they are closed at 8, explained we were party of 7, at least $200 ticket to feed six teenage boys. Wasn’t like nobody was there, plenty of other folks left to serve and they refused to seat us. Who refuses 7 folks when obviously many other people are there wanting to eat too. Why close when you have customers wanting your product and willing to pay good money for it. Owner needs to train some customer service into his employees! Won’t be bothered with my business in future!

Incredible food, as always. Blackened shrimp, gumbo, clam chowder (NE style) fried ousters/shrimp combo and key lime pie all unbelievable! Best blackeyed peas in the world and the hush puppies, OMGoodness. And, to top it off, Rylee was great!!
