Family in from NY and we didn't want to drive to Boca so went to Runyons (local). The menu is quite vast offering a lot of different choices, We ordered: filet mignon, bone-in ribeye, lobster tail, French Onion Soup and garlic bread. ALL WERE EXCELLENT!...The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender and delicious. The onion soup was great. The lobster tail was delicious. The garlic bread came with melted mozzarella and a red sauce and very yummy. Also, this restaurant does not charge for sides. All meals come with a choice of potato (we got mashed and baked and both were very good, as well as crunchy string beans. Our waitress was Sherrie and she was excellent! Now we don't have to drive to Boca, have a hassle with parking and have to pay $12 to $15 for a potato. WE WIL RETURN!More

First date great, second date not! Our second visit, the first was awesome! The second was the antithesis, our server was great! The food was not. The $110 bone in ribeye ordered medium was cooked over well and dry. The veggie, asparagus was limp and...over cooked And the baked potato was dry. As locals we need to rethink our next visit. Not a great experienceMore

The food was really good but not out of this world. It is a very nice local place. If you are looking for amazing high end dining - this isn’t it. But if you are looking for better than average - then this IS IT....One of us had Chicken Française - won’t order that again. One of us had Prime Rib - very good, not the best and not perfect BUT I did eat it and enjoyed itMore

My trip to runyons has left a bad taste in my mouth for the fact that they charged 8 bucks for s coffee.... If it was Vegas or council oak steak house .. I could see it ...... But it's coral springs ...... We all...know you have over heads but that's an insult to diners ..... Its certainly no 5 star place it's Americana dining not sofisticat ...... The arrogance I found to be overwhelming at that price I can see if it was special coffee but just because you setved it in a little potMore

This is the problem of reviewing a place on a one-time visit. My wife and I could have certainly hit Runyon's on a particularly boisterous night but my Lord it was loud in there! I don't want to come off as a "those kids and...their loud music" kind of guy but it was the dominate experience of the night for us. Again, many large parties and we know that ratchets up the volume but still. Anyway.... This is a fairly average steak joint. The food is good but you aren't going to go home thinking that really blew my hair back. You will think, yeah, that was good. And it should be for a $100+ per head. Can't complain about the food but you wouldn't put this in your special book of must-go-to culinary experiences. Service is where Runyon's shines. In some areas. Let's start with the positive. Our server, Kenneth (I hope I got that correct - see above about the noise!) was there when we needed him and wasn't when we didn't. That's a rare thing these days - especially in Florida, I'm afraid - and a very good sign of a well trained and talented server. Well versed on the menu and could offer relevant suggestions. Very pleased. Hat tip. Front desk/host stand? Please stop putting young girls at the host stand that are more interested in talking about their boyfriends than helping your guests. The host stand is your guest's first impression upon entering the establishment. Make that first impression count with someone that exudes competence and a sense of service. Folks are gonna drop more than a couple bucks at your establishment. Give them the service they are paying for. Treat them special. Okay, off my high horse about service standards - a perpetual issue here in Florida, unfortunately. So on the drive home, my wife and I nodded to each other and said that was fine. Food was good. Kenneth excellent. But, I'm afraid nothing special. Nothing to make you say, "Let's go back next week." But hey, if you are looking for a well-prepared steak (stick with the beef) at a market rate and you happened to catch the joint on a quieter night, you do worse. But we all are looking for something a little more than that, aren't we?More

Anniversary Dinner. Arrived early for a drink. The hostess didn't have our reservation, even though we had gotten a call back earlier in the week. It worked itself out. Had a drink at the bar. Very good job by the bartender. We could tell that...the atmosphere here is really good. Now I'm intrigued with what the rest of the place is like. We were sat in the piano bar. Zero issue with this. A really chill atmosphere with good music. Perfect volume. Ordered apps. The shrimp caparrelli which was raved about is meh at best. The wasabi crab dip was good but it incinerated he roof of my mouth (that's on me) Chop house salad we split. Excellent. Entrees: wife got the chicken francaise. No complaints overall. I got the cowboy ribeye, au poivre sauce, spinach and mashed. Let me say this about that. SALT SALT SALT and FAT. WAY WAY WAY WAY OVERSEASONED. The sauce was INEDIBLE. The steak was a very fatty cut (more than a typical ribeye) and excessively salted. Maybe with table salt? I mean really.... An hour later and my palate is still numb... Also, asked for medium rare leaning towards medium and it was blue. I know that ribeyes are fatty generally but this was over the top. The mashed potatoes were suspiciously reminiscent of boxed, which I'm ok with but it is what it is. The spinach, however, was surprisingly fresh and a nice balance of oil and garlic. All that said, If I came back I would make some changes to my order. Maybe a New York Strip, medium and no sauce of any kind because that really sucked. Also - the service by the team in our area was OUTSTANDING. The FOH did a great job. BOH, Please ease up on the salt or find a grill person that knows their job... Dessert was great. Again, the waitstaff did a great job with pie and coffee.More

We had high expectations from what had read. We decided to eat outside as no servers were wearing masks indoors. From the time we sat down until we got our meal was 1.5 hours. Ridiculous. Steak, obviously not their specialty, had gotten cold and was...undercooked. The salmon was similarly cold, and both dishes must have sat out for a while. However, by this time, it wasn't worth sending them back. The waiter may have done a quick "How is everything" but was moving by so quickly that he obviously wasn't concerned. On the plus side, the salads were excellent, with high quality cheese. I also liked the singer playing songs from the 60s and 70s.More

We waited over a half hour to get a drink we were sitting at the piano and it was early it wasn't even crowded but I'm assuming all the favorites were at the bar getting there full attention. Then we asked for a particular drink...it was made wrong and the waiter said that's how she makes it... We all came in for the prime rib dinner since that's what we heard was so good it was very early and the waitress said oh they're all well done we wanted medium rare so one of the people I was with took a chance because she doesn't mind well done and it was medium rare so we all ordered something else which was more expensive and we didn't get what we wanted when it was absolutely cooked the way we liked it?? I'm not sure what's going on over there I think if you don't sit at the bar you don't get good service we were there for hours just to have a couple of drinks and dinner.. I think some restaurants unfortunately treat their regulars top notch and forget about everybody else that's my only guess and why would they say the prime rib is well done maybe because they're saving it for some of their favorites!!More
