New item offered-South African Lobster Tail

Lobster Tail was very good and reasonable price of $49 that comes with a potato (your choice) and vegetable-broccoli and string beans. It's a 9 ounce South African Lobster Tail and it was very good. They did remove the ribeye from the menu which I wasn't happy about because this is my favorite steak cut. The waitress said the meat prices went too high. Social distancing was adhered to. Acoustics in this restaurant make it quite noisy.

Great place, great food!

While visiting friends in the area, they took us here and I was so amazed at the food, not only delicious but very generous portions! I had a salad that had at least half a pound of bacon in it which was delicious. Then the salmon! The largest portion I ever had, at least double the usual, and cooked perfectly. And very efficient and friendly servers. I plan to go there every time I'm visiting the area!

I ate there last week and sat outside. We had the French onion soup and New York strip and shared a portion of the delicious au poivre sauce. First time there since covid. It was fabulous as always, love their staff and the family who run it. Really missed sitting at the bar with Rico but that will have to wait a bit. We need to go again and support them. Wish we had more independent restaurants like this in this area. I really hope that they survive these challenging times.

Service is horrible

We waited over a half hour to get a drink we were sitting at the piano and it was early it wasn't even crowded but I'm assuming all the favorites were at the bar getting there full attention. Then we asked for a particular drink it was made wrong and the waiter said that's how she makes it... We all came in for the prime rib dinner since that's what we heard was so good it was very early and the waitress said oh they're all well done we wanted medium rare so one of the people I was with took a chance because she doesn't mind well done and it was medium rare so we all ordered something else which was more expensive and we didn't get what we wanted when it was absolutely cooked the way we liked it?? I'm not sure what's going on over there I think if you don't sit at the bar you don't get good service we were there for hours just to have a couple of drinks and dinner.. I think some restaurants unfortunately treat their regulars top notch and forget about everybody else that's my only guess and why would they say the prime rib is well done maybe because they're saving it for some of their favorites!!

New Years Eve

Having been to Runyons on a few occasions we booked for New Years Eve 2019 ... what a complete waste of time table booked 10.15pm we were called roughly an hour and half later to sit down , the place was jam packed , to get a drink while we waited for table to become available the men in the party had a job to get to the bar , the management in their wisdom had got ‘dollar ‘ signs in their eyes and squashed as many people as possible into the restaurant, the staff had a nod to get between the tables. We finally got our order taken and it arrived at 11.59 , it was on the whole the most depressing NYE we’ve endured, the one bright spot of the evening if there could be one , was Esra the singer .

First date great, second not!

First date great, second date not! Our second visit, the first was awesome! The second was the antithesis, our server was great! The food was not. The $110 bone in ribeye ordered medium was cooked over well and dry. The veggie, asparagus was limp and over cooked And the baked potato was dry. As locals we need to rethink our next visit. Not a great experience

Slow, cold food

We had high expectations from what had read. We decided to eat outside as no servers were wearing masks indoors. From the time we sat down until we got our meal was 1.5 hours. Ridiculous. Steak, obviously not their specialty, had gotten cold and was undercooked. The salmon was similarly cold, and both dishes must have sat out for a while. However, by this time, it wasn't worth sending them back. The waiter may have done a quick "How is everything" but was moving by so quickly that he obviously wasn't concerned. On the plus side, the salads were excellent, with high quality cheese. I also liked the singer playing songs from the 60s and 70s.

Avoid it! Not what it used to be

Runyons is what it used to be. We are regulars ( were) at Runyon’s for years. We loved that we could make reservations and not have to wait and the service used to be great. We were having dinner on Feb 23 and right next to us there was a large corporate group. They were obnoxious , rude and very loud using the F word loudly. They should have been in a bar. My husband complaint to the owner and nothing was done. No one came over to ask them to keep it down. There were children in the room as well. The funny thing is that our waiter who’s clearly brand new didn’t apologize or did anything to remedy the situation. Even the next table waiter brought his clients a cheesecake and I overheard him apologizing for the loud group. I just wanted to have a nice dinner. After all our bill was $295 for a dinner for 3. When you pay this kind of money it’s not so much for the food but for the atmosphere. And I’m sorry to say Runyon’s lost some loyal clients. So long Runyon’s. Good luck!

Food awful

Went for a family gathering. The service was awful. Some of the servings were disgusting. They serve my wife, shrimp scampi with medium size shrimp Publix has better shrimp! The manager was supposed to adjust our bill. He did not. Would never go back!

Last night I had a bad experience. The food was overloaded of a red sauce and gave me a terrible heartburn. I couldn’t sleep well and had to take Tums to get a little better the pasta needs to be removed from the menu If I could give a 0 review that would be the appropriate.

LOVED THIS RESTAURANT!

Family in from NY and we didn't want to drive to Boca so went to Runyons (local). The menu is quite vast offering a lot of different choices, We ordered: filet mignon, bone-in ribeye, lobster tail, French Onion Soup and garlic bread. ALL WERE EXCELLENT! The steaks were cooked to perfection, tender and delicious. The onion soup was great. The lobster tail was delicious. The garlic bread came with melted mozzarella and a red sauce and very yummy. Also, this restaurant does not charge for sides. All meals come with a choice of potato (we got mashed and baked and both were very good, as well as crunchy string beans. Our waitress was Sherrie and she was excellent! Now we don't have to drive to Boca, have a hassle with parking and have to pay $12 to $15 for a potato. WE WIL RETURN!

Great 80th Birthday Celebration!

Just finished a wonderful 80th Birthday Celebration for my mother at Runyon's. I can't say enough good things about our experience! We've been planning a dinner for 30 family member's for several weeks and they were very helpful during all of the planning. Marco and Kimberly took great care of us and worked seamlessly among our family gathering as we hopped from table to table visiting with each other. From A/V assistance, to great menu recommendations, to expert cake presentation and cutting, the event was outstanding. We'll definitely be back!

The best Prime Rib

In town for a few days on business; local clients recommended this restaurant, and especially the prime rib . Excellent choice! The prime rib was delicious – I was told to get the “small “ version because the portions were gigantic ; also had the loaded potato. We sat in the back room, but the front room with the piano looked like it would’ve been a lot of fun. Not sure when I’ll be back in town so this may have been my only visit to Coral Springs in a while. If I’m back I’ll definitely try this place again.

Good food and entertainment!

Delicious food, fun atmosphere, and amazing cocktails! We had the filet and the swordfish, both were mouth watering good. Their version of the “wedge salad” was not disappointing. There was piano entertainment and he was wonderful as well. This was our first visit to the area and we were not disappointed.
