My wife chose the Red Fish Grill for my 55th birthday dinner while we were vacationing in Doral, Florida near Miami. When we pulled up we could see beautiful views of Miami and South Beach. Inside the restaurant was set up for a romantic couples dinner. We sat by the window with views of the beach/lagoon. Table lights brightened as... More

We ate at Red Fish Grill on a Saturday night. Our reservation was at 7:00 pm. Our party of 8 arrived at 6:50pm, we were happily greated and our table was ready and waiting for us. Our group had bottles of red and white wine. (No bar service, only wine & beer.) We had salads, crabcakes, ceviche, and fried calamari... More

I was worried about this choice for a couple of reasons. One, the heat- it's July in South Florida and the rain was moving in which means humidity. And, two, the reviews for this spot were full of complaints about the service. So, the inside seating is air- conditioned which provides an alternative to the steamy Florida summers, but we... More

This is mainly a seafood restaurant; everything on the menu that we tried was absolutely amazing. Try the Seabass you will not be let down. As an appetizer we had the Ceviche which was fresh and perfectly executed. We ended the dinner with a slice of Key Lime pie that was also very on point. I would recommend this restaurant... More

I love how off the grid this Venue is, but trust me, it is part of the Romance, the discovery. Located out in the back of a State Park along Biscayne Bay (11 miles by 3 miles wide) you get a back view of Miami from the other side of the Bay. At first you may be 'hmm' but let... More

Location, setting, food and staff justify the ordeal of transiting the S. Dixie Highway (Rte 1) from Miami beach. We had a wonderful meal overlooking the lagoon and enjoyed the entire experience. The Red Fish Grill is unique in many ways and well worth the effort!

At the end of the long drive through mangroves in Matheson Hammock Park, you reach the beaches and Red Fish Grill. Don't not go to this beautiful restaurant in a gorgeous setting. If you can sit outside, that's the best but even from inside, the view is perfect. The food, of course, is ultimately why you came, and it won't... More

The Visit to Red Fish Grill starts well before you arrive to the restaurant- the drive through the mangroves already lets you know you are in for something special. when you arrive at RFG - its just BEAUTIFUL- from the hostess to the server- to the view- to the table setting- the feel is southern FL at its best -... Description
Remember when Matt Dillon was eavesdropping on Cameron Diaz in the movie "There's Something About Mary"? They were at Red Fish Grill. And what a location! Whether dining outside under the Palms at the edge of Biscayne Bay or in the historic coral stone dining room, this restaurant is like nowhere else. It's a slice of Florida that disappeared long ago in most parts of Miami. But it's a lot more than atmosphere that brings in the locals and notables. The menu is dedicated to fresh local seafood, cooked with a gourmet twist, sometimes Caribbean... sometimes Asian. Best bets: Fennel Seared Yellowfin Tuna on Crispy Wonton, Crab Cakes with Tropical Melon Slaw, Red Snapper with Shaved Red Onion Fennel Salad, Herb Crusted Sea Bass with White Bean Ragout, homemade Key Lime Pie and Caramel Flan with Toasted Coconut. And a wine list that's reasonable and varied. Please visit our website for further details.
