Great Caribbean cuisine.

Cindy Hutson is one of the finest chefs in Miami. The food is unique and exquisitely prepared. Ernesto chooses the wine list and it is well priced and a great selection. Located in the heart of Coral Gables. A must visit!

The many "good" reviews had my group coming here for dinner recently. Maybe I expected abit more based on the reviews and pics but unfortunately we were left in disappointment. Food: Nothing amazing or extraordinary. We ordered a number of items from appetizers and salads to dinner entrees and finally dessert. While I won't list them all here are a... More

A lovely restaurant, quaint decor and a warm feeling. The menu is creative with many choice. Norma's salad is a delicious start. The coffee and cocoa crusted salmon was the best. So delicious, that I bought the seasoning to make it at home. The bouillebaise was filled with seafood and very well seasoned. The peanut butter chocolate bomb is a... More

On the way to Cuba we had a night at Miami Airport, found Ortanique, and 3 of us went for dinner. Friendly reception, helpful waitress, and very good meals. A grouper, a salmon and an ox tail main courses, mussels and a ceviche appetizer, wine, desserts, just a wonderful dinner at a reasonable price.

This place is amazing! It really is. Once you step in you're left wondering how such a large venue goes unnoticed. The wine list is extensive and has enough to keep everyone busy. They have amazing value happy hour one day of the week where wine is half price. Food is very good too.

We were going to stay in Miami Beach for our meals, but then saw Ortanique and it sounded good. It turned out to be a great decision. The menu had a very nice variety, and it was easy for my daughter, my wife and I to each find something. We also had no trouble finding an appetizer and a dessert... More

This was the third time we ventured in trying this restaurant. Unfortunately not worth the monies. The meals were prepared by a novice and not the owners. These short order cooks are still trying to figure out what the spices and the Caribbean flavors are all about. I had the Ceasar to start, which was dry and lacked the Chessie... More

We very much enjoyed the food at this restaurant. I especially liked their spicy calamari salad, which I recommend you share because it is more one person would want - indeed the way to enjoy the food here is to order several and share among you. The crab cakes were good too. Finally, this is a good restaurant to converse... More

Whenever we want a place to take visitors where we know we'll get the right mix of great service and a delicious unique menu, we head to Ortanique. The ambiance is upbeat without the super loud music which seems to be almost everywhere now. They have the magic touch for an enjoyable outing.

This place has been a fixture in Coral Gables for so long and it is consistently good. Great place for a formal business lunch with a sure to impress menu as well as a terrific place for a late night dinner with your spouse. I sometime forget this option since there are so many new places to choose from but... More
