I absolutely love this place. My husband and I go here often for date night or with our visiting friends and family when in Cocoa Beach. The chef is beyond outstanding and the food will blow you away. Although there are many of my favorites...on the menu, I have had some over the top items off the daily specials. The atmosphere, bartenders and wait staff are great and make you feel like part of the “family”. It’s more than a restaurant, it’s an experience. Definitely my favorite place in the are.More

Open Table try south of Cocoa Beach, kind of on the Main Street. Took a bit of finding and parking but worked ok. Our table was waiting with our name on it and we liked the atmosphere. A nice selection of wines and interesting menu....Stuck with several small plates. Service was attentive and prompt and all our food came hot and fresh. The music is a bit overwhelming if you’re conversing, otherwise a comfortable setting and good food.More

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for some time so suggested we meet our friend there for dinner. The atmosphere is kind of barn chic, fun and quaint. I could describe it as romantic even. The food was good. We all ordered different...items and they were all good so no complaints there. What didn't match the atmosphere, decor and upscale menu was the music choice and volume. We were joking that the music choice and volume seemed more aligned with a hamburger joint that serves good wings. Which is fine when the tab is $75 for 3 people, not $175. Don't mind paying the latter but won't do it here again. So we tried it. The food is good and if you don't mind really loud music while you eat a $20-$30 entree, you won't be disappointed. The food deserves more than three stars. But if you are looking for a flavorful and relaxing meal with good conversation, you will be disappointed.More

We visited Flavour Kitchen while on a weekend trip to Cocoa. It was a phenomenal dining experience. The bartender/server was extremely attentive and kind; he was obviously very experienced in the restaurant business. The owner/chef was friendly and each dish we had was delectable. The...charcuterie board was perfect and we chose to complement it with the Maple Chili Bacon. We then had short ribs and hush puppies for our meal and topped off the night with a white chocolate and rhubarb/cherry mousse. They also had a lovely wine selection. We chose the French Bordeaux. Overall, it was one of our favorite dining experiences ever. Highly recommend!More

One of my new favorite restaurants ever: stellar upscale food, fun atmosphere, excellent staff, and entertaining creative NY chef. If you know me, you know I love eating food across the country/world and hand out full 5 stars sparingly, so that's a bold statement. Food:...5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Cost to worth it rating: 5 (small plates ~$15-20, entrees ~$25-35 for high caliber food) Opentableable: yes (which is super rare in Cocoa Beach, so I appreciated this) Return worthiness: YES!!! After the first visit, I returned the next night. Eve award: best counter "chef's table" Highlights: - Short ribs: fave dish I had. The meat was so perfectly tender and packed with flavor. The sauce stole the show for me as I kept going back to dip into it with any meat or potato piece I had left. I order this in a lot of restaurants and this was one of the best versions. 5+ stars - Fried shrimp: 4 large plump shrimp with a smooth, not greasy, and just the right thickness batter. The total opposite of your sub par frozen fried version where you can barely recognize any shrimp in it. 5 stars - Onion soup: special with a rich deep broth with the right amount of saltiness and sweetness, topped with this amazing Wisconsin white cheddar cheese, and a large bone marrow bone for a Flintstone like presentation. 5 stars - Blue cheese truffle fries: perfectly crispy medium sized fries topped with crumbled blue cheese that melted just a bit with the heat of the fries. OMG. 5 stars - Counter table by the kitchen: at first I was a bit intimidated as I knew the chef was known to have a big personality, but after a few minutes I leaned into it and enjoyed the entertaining lively banter. As a big food fan, I love watching people cook and it was extra fun cause he loves cooking for everyone there and is proud of his creations. Bonus that we got little extra tastes of a few ingredients too. - Filet: special with a good cut of meat and another fantastic sauce. The side knocked my socks off: cubes of potatoes baked in an herby cream sauce, covered with port cheddar cheese, and topped off with a runny egg that was mind blowing mixed all together. I mean, come on. 5 stars - Tortellini mac and cheese: love this idea and again that quality cheese really shined in the sauce. 4.5 stars - Scallops: divinely cooked on top of sweet corn. 4.5 stars - Peanut butter mousse: heavenly and so perfect cause peanut butter is my fave sweet flavor! I scored a spoonful of the chocolate mousse too for a Reese like touch. 4.5 stars - Meatballs: juicy and extra herby with a pure tomato sauce and slices of bread to sop it up with. 4 stars - Sangria: tried each of the white, rose, and red and liked them all. Sometimes sangria can be too sweet but these weren't which I loved. Also served in huge glasses with a carafe for the rest old school milkshake style. - Wines: not just your everyday same bottles you see everywhere which is fun as a wine fan from California. The chef/owner's wife picks them and has good taste. - Staff: all so welcoming and treated us so well as guests which I really appreciated. - Social media: on top of their Instagram game so you can see the specials each day--and I can follow along longingly from home. Midlights: - Caprese: tower of mozzarella and tomato was bit overdressed for my taste, but I'm a plain salad girl. 3 stars Lowlights: - I live on the other side of the country so I won't get to eat here very often. :-( Loved my meals here and can't wait to go back. I don't think I've ever eaten anywhere 2 days in a row (outside of a hotel resort). My hub agrees we have to return at least once each time we visit our good friend who has a place down the street.More

We have a favorite casual restaurant, so have been looking for a more complex food restaurant. We have not found a good spot yet on the Cape or Cocoa Beach and we have tried plenty...until now. Oh my gosh!!! The food was knock out fantastic!...The menu says it is small plates, so that normally means small portions so we split several plates. These small plates are not tiny! We tried the spicy chili bacon and it was delicious, very different and inspiring. Hubby had the french onion soup with bone marrow and I had the layered caprice salad, and both were amazing. Not small plates and perfect tasting, with mixed flavors. I had read all the reviews and decided to try the chicken. It came with spicy potatoes and a brown butter garlic sauce. I tried each flavor individually, and thought it was just ok...nothing amazing. Then I mixed them on my fork and WOWZA! the most amazing chicken dish I have had in 25 years. I remember my last favorite and the restaurant closed down....and I'm so excited to find a new favorite. Hubby had the steak, and said it was really good. Yes, the chef was a tad arrogant but a master at what he does. Next time, we are sitting at the chef table for sure! You must have reservations, as they do save the table for the reservations, but there is a lovely bar to sit out. You can watch the chef prepare his food in the kitchen, and the service is outstanding. This was a $100 meal that would have been $200 outside of Cocoa Beach world. Don't miss it...and the dress is casual but not swimwear casual.More

I recently had dinner at Flavour Kitchen and Wine Bar in Cocoa Beach. I have been there a few times before even sitting at The Chefs Table. This time I should have walked out after being served what is in the picture. It was supposed...to Beef Wellington. Mine looked like an under-cooked dough ball swimming in some VERY SALTY sauce. (And I love salt) I don’t mind paying for expensive food when it is good, but this was $47 as pictured and plated. A bit pricey for this area. Usually the food is good here, but Chef Jason must have had an off night. He was rude and arrogant to myself and dinner companion. My friends filet was not cooked correctly but CHEF SAID “That is medium-rare if I say it is.”) No apology or offer to re-make it. NOT a good way to keep customers going back. We also had a hard time talking because there music was extremely loud and we had to almost yell at each other. My total bill was about $80 for the filet, salad and one glass of wine. Take your money elsewhere to a restaurant where the chef/owner appreciates its customers and not yell at them.More

To celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary, my husband and I went to Cocoa Beach for the weekend. We fell in love all over again with each other and discovered our new favorite restaurant: Flavour Kitchen & Wine Bar. We showed up a bit early for...our reservation so sat at the wine bar to see what was available. My favorite rose, Fleur de Prairie, is offered by the glass or bottle. James, the bartender, is attentive and spent just enough time with us to make us feel comfortable. Chef Jason came out from the kitchen and stopped by to say hello. To our surprise, two minutes later we gave up our table and were sitting at the chef's table within talking distance of Chef Jason and Sous Chef Derrick. There the magic began. My husband will write his own review on Trip Advisor, so I will discuss my dinner only. Starting with the wedge salad, I was astonished by the velvety blue cheese dressing, bits of bacon and full flavors of the salad. I usually am not a fan of wedge salads, but the plating of this allowed for full flavors in each bite. I have a lot of food intolerances/allergies and Chef Jason took time to listen, then created my dinner. On the menu it read: "NY Strip". Now imagine a salad, perfectly seasoned and cooked NY Strip (I prefer Med Rare, and it was) with the most amazing hand cut fries made with blue cheese crumbles and black truffle oil. O.M.G. We talked, laughed, interacted with Chef Jason, had a lot time to ourselves, were visited by James, and felt so wanted as customers. Before I describe my dessert, I want to address the subject of the music. Chef Jason has curated a playlist that adds energy to the restaurant while masking the conversations of those around you. My husband and I are both senior citizens, knew the words to many, many songs, were able to hear each other speak, did not need to shout, and loved the energy. Disclaimer - I love dessert and am very critical. I chose the chocolate mousse and could not stop smiling while slowing savoring each spoonful. Served in a martini glass, the portion is perfect. Chef makes all the desserts himself. This was dark chocolate mousse whipped exactly as I'd hoped, topped with a light confection of whipped cream (that was not sweet) and every so many bites I'd find a dark pitted cherry treasure to eat. We made an instant decision to cancel reservations at a very special restaurant and returned the next evening for our anniversary dinner. Needless to say, we were welcomed back with energy and fantastic food. FYI - public parking is available on the street, or in a public pay lot around the block.More

We were in Cocoa Beach for our wedding anniversary and took a chance on Flavours. What a great 'lucky' choice. Having booked, we were early and went to the bar where we were greeted by James the barman. We chatted for a while and then...Chef Jason came over and talked with us. He told us to stay at the bar as we already had "our real estate" at the bar and then changed his mind and invited us to the Chefs table. Chef Jason is a high energy cook and each dish is his product. His Sous Chef Derek is his right hand man and completed the pair. Well served by Derek with out drinks we happily tucked into out meal. Mine was Spanish Octopus, which I love, and then on a whole Red Snapper. Im not a dessert person but my wife's dessert looked wonderful and the next night I also had a dessert. I say next night because the following day was our wedding anniversary and we canceled our restaurant booking and went back to Flavours for another taste of Chef Jason's cooking. This is a must for visitors to CCB wishing to get away from the normal and taste well cooked and presented food at reasonable pricesMore

Great flavors! I had the "bad ass" fish stew special. My wife, who has shellfish allergies, got the snapper, which was excellent, as well. The chef came to our table to ensure my wife could be accommodated. Excellent service to match the food.

Chef was hysterical, definitely a little bit of a goofball. But dang he can make some yummy food. The menu was fun and unique, not your typical American fare. They have specials posted on their Instagram that make your mouth water. We got a filet...mignon meatloaf that was filled with chorizo, and a short rib flat bread that was killer and big enough for two. There’s no doubt that we will be returning.More

Chef Jason is brilliant! I got the braised short ribs omelet which was amazing. It comes with potatoes & a small home made vinaigrette salad. The unlimited mimosas are an additional perk. My husband got a lobster & caviar frittata which was absolutely delicious. The...ambiance is romantic & urban. A+More

NEVER, have I EVER had such a rude and unnecessary experience!! We left immediately after our interaction with the chef. He YELLED at us 3 times!! We only were able to hear the third repeat of it when he screamed it and then marched off...like a spoiled child, throwing a tantrum. The restaurant itself was pretty and honestly we were impressed with our appetizer. We were excited for the rest of our food and to enjoy our bottle of wine. We enjoy fine dining and always love finding new places when traveling. Unfortunately, that was as far as it went. The music was beyond loud in this place...I am use to Vegas restaurants like STK that are meant to be loud. This was unbearable and my boyfriend sitting right next to me couldn’t even hear me!! We had to repeat our order multiple times to the waitress. Finally after noticing EVERY PERSON in the restaurant was screaming at each other and miserable, we asked the waitress if we could turn it down just a notch or two. She said “the chef won’t be happy, but let me try to do it slowly”. With two little clicks you could see the entire restaurant relax and not feel like they had to scream at each other. Still loud, but the volume what a STK or Beauty and Essex usually are. The table next to us said “thank god you said something we were ready to leave!”. We had a few minutes to enjoy before you see the chef storm out of the kitchen and crank it up even louder!! He stomped half way towards us and started YELLING at us!!! The first two times we legitimately didn’t hear or understand him because at this point it was too loud. Finally he got close enough and repeated it. “You wanted it quieter? Too f-ing bad!!!”. Then stormed back into the kitchen. We immediately asked for our check. I have never experienced such rudeness. I have dealt with many of the top chef’s in the country and also friends with quite a few who could get away with an attitude but wouldn’t. Actually, even know a few of the actual Chef’s he has cooked under!! I hope he gets his attitude under control, before he tanks a place that has the ability to be a great restaurant! Until then I recommend avoiding the place!!More

First time to Flavour Kitchen! Enjoyable Decor & Atmosphere but the music was just way too loud. Sometimes the service personnel forget that the music is for atmosphere not to prepare customers for a rock concert. The food was very good and the service was...also very good. I would have given 5 Stars if not for the music. One item of note: If you are ordering wine make sure you do so by the bottle. The pours by the glass seem a little skimpy for the prices being charged. Their prices for bottles of wine is in line with other restaurants in the area. I always give restaurants two visits. If nothing else the Truffled French Fries with Blue Cheese with a bottle of Chardonnay and a pair of ear plugs might be the ticket.More
