Kay's is very much a down home style BBQ joint. When they are on, you cannot beat their BBQ anything! The sides will be the best you ever had, and the meats...Umm Yummm Yummm! The feast for 2 actually feeds 3 or 4, and we usually order the sampler platter for around $16 and it always feeds both my husband... More

Simply put - the food, service, and experience has been excellent every time! I have visited for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's close enough to my office that I can go for lunch and have always received service as well as my meal in timely fashion. I like the restaurant so much that we have utilized it for breakfast meetings... More

We ordered both pulled pork and smoked sliced turkey and were unimpressed with the food quality and quantity of meat. The pulled pork was acceptable but seemed to be steamed and watered down to keep the meat moist rather than serving fresh barbecue. The meal that was especially lacking was the sliced turkey. While the menu claims this product is... More

I had the sliced pork, beef and 1/2 Chicken platter. The sides were larger than some of the ones that I have had. The server kept my drink glass full, I arrived there late and they NEVER rushed me to leave, I totally lost track of time and I apologized. The Manager said "you are eating" we are not in a... More

Kay’s Real Pit Barbecue Cocoa, FL. 6/10/16 Looking on my GPS for a place to eat and came across this place not too far away. When I got there I had my doubts, I did not see or smell any smoke. When I was a kid back in Texas (70 + years ago) I was told if you don’t see... More

The staff was great....but the BBQ and sauce was bitter and I could not even eat more than 1 bite. I did eat a cheese quesadilla which was fantastic. I think it is that I like sweet BBQ and theres was bitter to me. The parking lot was picked so we decided to try. Everyone should try atleast once....

We drove over from Cocoa Beach intending to have lunch at Grandpa's Steakhouse, but unfortunately that's now closed on Mondays. I had seen a BBQ sign on the way so we decided to call in for a bite. Only once we saw the menu did I realise it was Kay's. Instead of a sandwich I decided to have a rack... More

We arrived rather late on a week night so a lot can be forgiven. The service was adequate though it must be said that the food could easily have been much better. It felt like the end of the pot. There was a lot of it but not tasty so we easily left half the plate unfinished.Observing other Diners we... More

We were undecided about where to eat when we passed Kay's, We are both very glad we stopped. The staff was very friendly and portions looked big. I ordered the small chef salad with Turkey(very moist). It was a generous portion for a small homemade delicious ranch dressing. Brunswick stew was very delicious. We will be back.
