We have not ever had anything here we didn't think was quite yummy. It is expensive though.
And lately service has not been what it was before this pandemic. No one has been rude just not friendly. It's almost like we are interrupting their day when we come in. No smiles whatsoever.

The lab made us recovery juice that was very fresh and tasted a tad green but it was invigorating. The staff was helpful.

AJ and crew are awesome, I was nota coffee drinker, but this place has changed my mind of what coffee is. Forget Starbucks come here they will change your view of a great cup of coffee!!!!

I was on a bike ride and in need of a coffee. I stopped in and got a gastro press coffee. Never heard of it before but I really enjoyed it. Price may seem a little high at first but you get a small pot of freshly brewed great tasting coffee. The gentlemen that work there are very nice and personable. I spoke with Jason and he really is a great person and good worker. I’ll defiantly go back and recommend you stop in!

Energy Lab Cafe isn’t the typical coffee shop, however has some of the best coffee around. Since it is attached to a cycling center, health smoothies are also offered.
The price was comparable with that of a Starbucks, however, it is worth the price for a cup. The coffee is strong and has an organic quality to it without the added sweetener pumps and artificial flavors. I ordered the Mocha Cappuccino which was very delicious. There wasn’t an overbearing bitter mocha flavor which is common in most chain coffee mocha drinks. The cute design with the froth added an extra personal touch that you can’t get at a chain location.
Both of the employees were very welcoming and nice! We didn’t feel pressured to order quickly.
The quiet location of Downtown Clermont also provides for a relaxing atmosphere along the water while you enjoy your coffee.

We pride our selfs on how every signature drink by making them from scratch in house with organic ingredients, fence the better mocha taste vs. commercialized synthetic ingredients that most coffee shops use. We have lived in Clermont for two years and I cannot believe that we are JUST now finding this gem. First, the staff is SO knowledgeable and passionate about what they do there.
It was difficult to choose because they have some really terrific creations. There is N excellent selection no matter what you are looking for and everything really seems to be elevated that we have tried so far.
I am very confused about the one star review from 2017. This place is NOT as they described. I even raced about it at the office the next day. Beyond a good experience!

You are correct that everything we offer from coffee, tea, smoothies, juices...etc, is all an elevated experience. We set the bar pretty high on everything because we know that even a simple cup of coffee can be amazing, when brew fresh using unique methods and most important using the best source for highly rated coffee beans. The Energy Lab Cafe has hands down the best brewed coffee in the area. They use rare Steampunk brewing technology that creates the smoothest cup of coffee you will ever have. It’s so good you don’t even need to add cream or sugar. Also, the baristas are very enthusiastic about their craft and are happy to explain the unique process used to crate the perfect cup of coffee.

I had come here at least a dozen times before and loved the place so I make it a point to stop in when I am in the area. This particular visit however I ordered a Mocha and it wasn't all that great. The part that really got to me though is when I asked if there were more then the 1 blueberry and 1 banana pastries in the case I was told that they just got wiped out this morning by a large crowd. I ordered them both since he said "they are both very popular". He obviously lied to me about selling them out to a large crowd because they were both beyond stale. When I asked if they were fresh he said they were brought in Tuesday, maybe Tuesday of last week. When I brought it to the employees attention he didn't even offer to make it right. Good help sure is hard to find. I hate to say if the place doesn't turn it around quickly they too shall fall to the wayside...

We are sorry to hear about your experience.
If you recall Anthony, we did offered to refund your money, the barista did tried to give you back his tip, but you refuse both, hard to try to make it right when you did not allowed us. The pastries were in fact deliver on Tuesday and if you recall, it was a chocolate croissant and a maple pecan croissant that we served you. We did not have any blueberry or banana pastries deliver the week you visited.
Overall we have 5 start ratings, not from months ago but all recently, not sure what we need to turn around. If you are in the area again, please give us a another try to show you why we have 5 stars rating every where.

To celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, we wanted to go somewhere new close to home. We found Energy Lab Cafe on TripAdvisor and decided to check it out. We don't typically drink coffee every day, but we almost never drink tea. We ended up talking to the guy working there for a while before ordering and ended up ordering green teas and pastries rather than the coffees we had in mind. We were glad we took his recommendation, because the tea (even though it was very lightly sweetened) had a lot of flavor.
It was really cool to watch the brewing process with the machines they use. We were lucky to come in with no one in line behind us for the time we were ordering and watching. We sat down and ate our baked goods and looked out the window towards the water for a while. My boyfriend went back a few days later with our friend who recently moved to Clermont. We both like this place and will be back!
