You might wonder how can this be an Italian/Japanese restaurant and how can the food be any good. Well, don’t let the name fool you. My mom and I visited this restaurant for sushi this evening. Certain sushi and drinks were half off for happy...hour which was great. The sushi and sashimi was yummy. No complaints there. There service was mediocre to poor. There was 3 other tables with people and it took us awhile to get served. When she did take our order she gave us one napkin with one set of silverware when there was clearly 2 of us sitting there. I had to ask for a fork. When we were finished we sat there for 10 minutes and then just asked someone else for our check. 2 of the other tables also got up and had to ask for their checks as well. I only gave it 4 stars because of the serviceMore

So I am normally detailed in my reviews... But I also normally come with photos. This time we did not. Which tells myself I wasn't too pleased, but it is not a terrible place. Just be careful in my eyes. So normally for a night...you'd expect some people to be there. It was pretty dead. The service was moderate meaning she did come and check on us and made sure she took care of some stuff. The chef was pretty boring for a Hibachi chef. No flare or spark. Was like watching your boring buddy cook you a meal. Also at the end of the meal he did not clean the grill. I was a chef for some time. Things like that bother me as its a requirement. Once you see that you wonder what else they do or do not do. When we walked in we walked past the guy rolling sushi. Was not so impressed, but the 2 rolls we got looked good and had good presentation. Tasted good also, so no real complaints there. The soup was ok, dressing for the salad was ok under the Hibachi Meal. The food itself was just ok. I kind of expected more for the money, Not a super large portion. But just seemed like the cut the lobster in half to serve it to us. And the chicken was a chicken tender.. Wondering if because they give Filet, is why it may have been smaller all around. The food was cooked, wasn't too drowned in soy. The white sauce was blah and the ginger sauce was just ok. I wouldn't mind trying some other stuff there, Wasn't wow'd or impressed to praise them. I have praised other places though so expect my reviews to be upfront and to the point.More

We’ve all heard of tsunamis, arigatos, etc... well this spot did not meet the expectations.... first of all we were gifted a groupon to go there and the couple with my girlfriend and I got one and they wouldn’t allow them to use theirs because...we were in the same party. Then my friend ordered a Stella on draft and it was warm. Tried to sub ranch on the salad vs the normal dressing and it came out with the normal dressing instead of the ranch. I’d say the only good thing that came out of the visit was the food. The cook was nice and attentive and deserved any tip that was left. We probably won’t be returning here again.More

Odd name and I never saw Italian dishes, but no matter. This is what you expect when walking in. Immediate attention and seating coupled with a value priced lunch menu delivered fresh and delicious!

Kind of an odd combo. The Italian part, as far as we could tell, was some desserts. Not bad, not great... check Groupon for two for one special

Our first time at this restaurant. We were not overly impressed. First up was seating. We had to move three times because of rain water leaking through the roof. Secondly the air had a pungent smell. Not fresh at all. Finally our chef wasn’t that...engaging. Unlike other Japanese restaurants where the chef continuously chats with the customers this gentleman was pretty quiet. Not that it’s a bad thing but certainly out of the ordinary. What he lacked in personality he made up for it with his cooking skills. The food was great. All 7 of us were thoroughly impressed with not only the amount of food but it’s great taste. Our server deserves accolades as well. While the food and service was very good this place needs an update/refresh before I will return again.More

I probably stop by here to to three times a week for lunch . They have a nice lunch special for under $10 and after 4 PM until 7 PM they have half-price sushi happy hour. Never disappoints !!! I usually get two rolls .....my favorite is the 2001. The staff is friendly the owner is a sweetheart and the sushi chef’s are really good with a knife .More
