My husband and I like the classy atmosphere, live piano music, amazing chicken livers, unbelievable fried eggplant. Dinner starts out with a free condiment tray and crackers, salad and dressing are fantastic, homemade warm breads including banana and molasses breads. Service is attentive but unrushed. Last night's visit was extra special with one of the prettiest Christmas trees that I... More

Elegant, yet relaxed, is the Beachcomber where you can dine al fresco, in a spacious model-ship-lined dining room, or in the more intimate amd cozy dining room off the bar. Many locals go to Beachcombers for the old-fashioned relish tray, but don't be deceived by this throwback. The menu offers a variety of excellent fish dishes as well as steaks.... More

This would be a good restaurant to go to on a special occasion as it is far more formal than almost all the restaurants in the Clearwater Beach area. Also, not the prices you'd want to spend just to avoid cooking. We were lucky and did the early bird two for $28.00 menu. Food was good, service was excellent (I... More

As a general rule, any restaurant in the Clearwater Beach area is quite busy for lunch....at least the ones I have visited have been. The fact that this restaurant was virtually empty (except for about ten people at the bar and parties seated at about five tables/booths) should have been my first red flag. Looking over the menu, we found... More

I am originally from NJ and thought I would never find another restaurant that serves oyster Rockefeller or clams casino like I used to get in the 70's. The Beachcomber nails it! Food is outstanding. Waitstaff is efficient yet very pleasant. Atmosphere is super. I had the grouper and was not disappointed! And for dessert I had the Alaska Meringue... More

Chaos when we arrived, clearly overbooked people. We were lucky, seated within 15 minutes of arrival, some people were waiting for an hour past booked time. Overall service was good though. The thanksgiving menu was varied and had many courses all of which were good, although cider to start was a little odd to us brits. The tray of relishes... More

The restaurant has a very low key nautical decor with big picture windows in the main dining room which is quite spacious and quiet. The menu carried many traditional full dishes and entrees, European fashion. They also have a good selection of wines. We found the waiter very helpful in explaining the different local seafood offerings. The meal was excellent... More

I have been here many many times. I lived in this area for 35 years before moving to Utah in 2011. It's one of my favorite restaurants of anywhere I have traveled. We made reservations for 8 for 2PM on a Saturday for a family lunch. We pretty much had the place to ourselves which was nice. Our waitress was... More

The Beachcomber is generally an Excellent Choice, Great Food & Classy Atmosphere ....BUT.... Beware the place is a Disaster on Holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas. They seriously overbook this place and almost everyone waits for an hour after the reservation time for seating. I would be very concerned that in case of a fire, folks would be trampled. Heilman's need... More

We had the UDSA Prime Filet Mignon and it was perfectly done, juicy, tender and tasty. At $36 it was $10 more than their regular Filet Mignon bur definitely worth it. Also had the surf and turf, and the lobster was nicely charred. They brought various breads at the beginning, including banana bread. Their black bean soup with rice was... More
