My wife and I stopped in before sunset for cocktails and to try some small plates. We've been visiting CB annually for a decade now and always wanted to try it. Valet service easy. Outside seating available and safe physical distancing with live piano music...made for a great time. We'll now put this place into regular rotation. A class act when you need one.More

What a PERFECT evening. We came to celebrate my birthday and we could NOT have picked a better place! First off, The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and having a live pianist just makes your experience one of a kind. I had the Bronzed Grouper which...was fantastic, Harrison's meal was equally good. But the highlight for me was the server. A great server can make your meal even better and "Uncle Milty" (Milton) was the best! He was funny, helpful and there when we needed him and not when we didn't. I will definitely request him everytime we go.More

The food was great, service wonderful and atmosphere was great. Not your typical beach fair more fine dining experience. The drinks were very generous pours.

This is one of the finest restaurants we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Even with Coronavirus we Finally had a wonderful meal. The best this year. Great menu, excellent service from “Uncle Milty”. The seafood was fantastic. Prepared perfectly. In a touristy area...full of ho-hum restaurants the Beachcomber really stands out. If you’re looking for something a little nicer and enjoy good food we highly recommend this restaurant. Please ignore critical reviews based on one persons minor experience with the hostess. We saw none of that.More

What a cool vibe this place has! I am in my 50’s and I felt like I was dining in a place I grew up in with my parents. My husband and I loved every minute of it. My son and his girlfriend are from...the area and they chose this restaurant because it was very fancy for them and they were treating us to dinner because we were out of town from Pittsburgh,PA. The way we were greeted from the time we entered - seated- dinner offerings described - service - to check out - was TOP NOTCH. It was so cool and classy. The dark ambiance and the live piano player really set the tone. We will be back to the Beachcomer!More

Bob Heilman's is a poster child for disastrous management. They ruined a family Thanksgiving dinner by reneging on a reservation and leaving us standing with crowds of dozens of people who probably had their reservations "lost" as well, with elderly people and one person who...had just had knee surgery. We were told the wait was 45 minutes, and after 45 minutes, the wait was still 45 minutes. We ended up leaving and ordering pizza for Thanksgiving. After several months, we decided to try again. For our 30th anniversary, we made the reservation and asked for the North room. We confirmed three times, and were even called back and the request was confirmed. When we arrived at the restaurant, 1) they could not find the reservation despite them calling us back 2) they said they did not confirm the North room and 3) they did not seem to care at all when we turned around and left. I called the restaurant the next day and spoke with Sherry Heilman, who basically told me that she did not want our business. She was rude, interrupted me, and did not even give me 10 seconds to explain our situation. THIS RESTAURANT IS CLEARLY IN POOR MANAGEMENT HANDS. THEY DO NOT CARE FOR YOUR BUSINESS, AND DO NOT CARE THAT THEIR STAFF ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Please pass this one by.More

The food was absolutely delicious and our waitress was so nice. Waitress gave fantastic customer service and was so helpful with the menu and telling us what her favorites were. But the hostess at the front desk needs a major attitude adjustment and needs to...be taken down off her high house. We complained to the waitress about the hostess who was completely embarrassed by the hostess. Food and atmosphere are fantastic but I would order takeout to just avoid the hostess in the future.More

Visited based on a locals recommendation and I'm glad I did. Though the menu was very abbreviated due to just reopening during Covid, the food, atmosphere and service we exemplary. I had the crabcake appetizer which was excellent, about 90% sweet blue crab and just enough...binder and seasoning to hold it together. The sauce that came with it was killer. I tried to figure out what that sauce was made of but gave up and just enjoyed. The server recommended the black grouper,"bronzed" and she was spot-on as it was probably the best piece of fish I have had in the last 10 years. Perfectly seasoned, expertly cooked. Danielle was the server's name and she was on point from start to finish. The decor is from another era. It was like stepping back in time. Tasteful mid-century modern artwork and furnishings including curved, white leatherette banquettes, low lighting, live piano, and ample greenery making for a cool and cozy vibe. The pricing was a little steep but I had not one regret. Places like this just don't exist much anymore and it is a real treat when you find one that still has high standards and solid execution. Highly recommended.More
