We went to Bob Hellman's Beach with another couple for the first time last night. As both my wife and I have gluten issues we were encouraged to find that our server was knowledgeable on the topic. Dinner began with a relish tray [very good] and a selection of breads which our friends said were excellent. I had a very... More

A delicious house salad is a great start while you wait for their famous fried chicken! Just a heads up, it takes a while to prep and cook. Fresh, homemade fried half chicken is hard to beat!

Very nice departure from the more casual beach restaurants. Seated in a high back booth near the piano, we were very cozy. We started with escargot, which was excellent, piping hot and flavorful. Salads followed by our main courses which were your basic surf & turf and and order of prime rib. Both were cooked just right and very tasty.... More

I recommend coming around 6:00pm; the pianist starts at 6:30 and aside from the amazing food (with huge portions) the atmosphere is classy and upbeat.

The Beachcomber has it all. Great food, ambiance and service. You just can't go wrong having dinner (make reservations) at Bobs.

We visited this restaurant twice in three days it was so good. Staff were attentive but not over bearing. Extensive wine menu. We both had the seafood platter.....twice!! All very fresh, simply prepared, delicious. Would highly recommend.

Always visit this place when in Clearwater. This is an old style fine dining establishment. The service is superior, the food excellent, the prices are appropriately high but worth it.
