We ended up going to Salty's all three of our days in Clearwater Beach.
I initially was drawn in by the very generous Happy Hour that spanned from 11AM - 7PM and 10PM to close everyday, weekends included.
Tall Domestic Draft Beers were well worth the $3 price tag.
Food was also very solid; we tried a couple different apps and sandwiches over the course of our trip and none disappointed.
The primary reason for writing this review, however, is to acknowledge our excellent bartender, Jason.
Jason did much more than just pour drinks; he catered to our every need, provided us with detailed dining and activity recommendations along the beach, and was the source of some good conversation.
It was apparent from seeing his interaction with other patrons and fellow coworkers that Jason was well-liked and on top of his game at all times; our experience was shared by many others.
Whenever we do return to Clearwater Beach, we will certainly make it a point to go back to Salty's, if for only this reason!

Visited for lunch while on vacation. Our party was promptly seated and drink orders taken. Kid friendly menus and decent adult drink menu. We ordered the chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, breaded cod, kids shrimp and kids chicken strips. Both tacos were delicious. My husband did say he would get his shrimp tacos again but he would get them without the pineapple salsa (not bad, just not his thing). I loved the kick the salsa verde gave the chicken tacos. We also added the crab dip as a starter and were not disappointed! It was terrific! The kiddos ordered the strawberry slushies and sucked them dry, so they must have been good! We also had a strawberry banana margarita and it was perfect! Service was good, atmosphere great. Prices aren't bad... a little higher than somewhere we would eat lunch back home, but that being said you are in a touristy area, across from the beach, food was great and great portion sizes. We would visit again!

I enjoyed a late lunch at Salty's. A couple musicians were playing out front and sounded excellent so I decided to try it out. The fish tacos were very good and the side of plantains was the perfect accompaniment given the beach proximity. The server, Dan, was excellent and I enjoyed our conversation. During my visit it was a little chilly but they had heaters going to make it comfortable. Decent views of the beach. I parked across the street in the beach parking lot and paid using the Park Mobile App, super easy and relatively inexpensive.

We (the four of us) decided to dine here after reading the reviews. The service was hurried. By this I mean the server spoke real fast, hardly listened to our questions and then left. We tabled the questions until she returned later and asked again and got some half baked answers. One ordered the hogfish. It was presented well but was like a cracker, meaning it was stiff. Thin, hard and over cooked. It was returned and reordered the Macadamia crusted Grouper which was quite good. I had the coconut shrimp. It was on the menu as red shrimp. Thinking it was local and fresh as were many of the fish selections, I was disappointed as it appeared to be the same looking butterflied frozen shrimp we all have seen. If it was indeed fresh, it wasn't impressive at all. Taste= 6-7. My wife had the Trio (fried grouper, calamari, shrimp) grade=6. The Caesar salad that accompanied the entrees was in a soup size cup, quite small. Presentation of these? some diced Romaine hearts and dressing with some grated cheese. In the end, the bill did not fit the quality of food, service or ambiance. I realize this is a "Tiki Bar" but like other places along this strip, they probably don't rely on return business. Don't think we will return.

Same food as Crabby's at the round-about. Grouper fish sandwich was dry with no sauce or anything. Crabcakes were dry and filled with too much breadcrumbs. Music was playing and you couldn't hear the waitress or each other - and we sat upstairs away from the guy playing. Totally too loud.

Met some very good friends here for a late lunch followed by a walk on the beach here yesterday! Shout out to John our server! Our friends were about an hour late due to heavy traffic and John was very attentive to offering us appetizers and drinks while we waited. Happy hour is all day which was a bonus! Once our friends arrived, John waited patiently for us to finish catching up before we decided to look at the menu. Our meals were very good and the ambiance was so relaxing - right across the beach!

Dinner with my wife. We got the boom boom shrimp appetizer and I got the oyster platter as an entree and she ordered the andouille sausage and chicken pasta. Everything was outstanding. Live music (This guy was really good too). Cruzan rum bucket, all was well in the world for a while. They also give a 10 percent discount if you stay next door at Pelican Point Resort.

Excellent bar and grille - great beer and cocktail menu as well as good variety of appetizers, sandwichs, and entrees. We went about 6pm on a Saturday with our 5 1/2 year old granddaughter and our waitress McKenna couldn't have been nicer to us or more attentive to the little one. Only drawback was music was a little too loud for that hour - but it wouldn't keep me from going back again.

Saw the high rating and decided to give Salty's a try. Overall, the food was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The prices were a bit high for what they actually bring out. We ordered a steak bowl and the actual bowl was barely half full. That seemed a bit cheap when most of the bowl is rice. There are other restaurants around where for the same price, you get a lot more bang for your buck. The flavors were good, but we likely wouldn't eat here again unless they bring the prices down 20-30%.

LOVE the area! Walked by, open atmosphere, able to ask if they serve coffee as I passed by on a winter's cold windy yet sunny day in February. Smiling waitress and staff, amazing, a maz ing egg and spinach sandwich. The egg oozed into the plate <3 as I ate I could dip :D scrumptuous

I ordered the crab cakes. The bottoms of them were burned (the server did offer to take them back and get me new ones) .I did not take her up on her offer because the crab cakes were mostly filling (very little crab meat but I did accept the offer of a free dessert which was delicious. Our server Jamie was pleasant but didn't go above and beyond. Generally speaking this , in our opinion, is an average restaurant.

Had to run an errand in Clearwater so gave Salty’s a try.
Had the grouper platter. It was good, not great. Cole slaw and plantains were very good. My friend had the crab cakes which she enjoyed.
They weren’t busy. The waiter started out being very attentive but when I wanted some tartar sauce, he was nowhere to be found.

Very glad we checked out the Salty Crab for breakfast while we were in Ft. Myers Beach. Nice selection of breakfast entrees. I was torn between the Avocado Toast and the Bacon, Egg, & Cheese on Ciabatta. Our waitress, Allison, recommended the BEC on C, and I was not disappointed. It was delicious! The bacon was perfectly fried, the scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, not wet or too dry, and the kitchen didn't skimp on the cheese! My hubby had the 2-egg breakfast and was quite please and filled. The other couple with us choose the French Toast and Biscuits and Gravy. With the exception of the French Toast, the entrees were served with nicely crisped chunky hash browns. Delish! Not only was the food delicious, the service was awesome! Allison was serving tables on the patio, where we were seated, as well as out on the sand, so she was busy, but still attentive and friendly. Wish we would have had a few more days in FMB, and we would have returned for lunch or dinner.

Saw this place on Travelocity website, family of 5 tried it out after exhausting long day flying, driving and walking. Took several minutes to get our order taken but after that waitress was great and service excelllent. I had grouper tacos—-so good!! Grouper was perfect, coleslaw with pineapple chunks and garlic aoli that I would drink by itself. My 13 yr old star had the pulled chicken version of tacos, again excellent. Hubby had usual burger he said was fast as were the fries. 15 year old son loved the fried grouper sandwich but did say plot was a bit greasy and would get grilled if he got again.
Ended with key lime pie. Not the best I have had and slices were small for $5. Overall great experience!!

While many of the eateries we visited I consulted trip advisor (and was not disappointed) this location happened to just be near our hotel. Not only an inviting atmosphere, happy workers, smiling hostess, but the food & service, top notch! Our first visit, Andrea, was our waitress. Super nice & efficient having most of the tables it appeared. The waffles served hot & fluffy, just like mom use to make. Coffee perfect, and a refill always ready. My husband had the breakfast scrambler, yes I took a taste, so delish! Needless to say, we came back every day of our trip. While the whole breakfast Menu looked appetizing And I almost tried 2 other items, I was so happy with the first choice we kept getting the same thing. On day 2 & 3 we had waitress, Amanda, first by chance, next day, by request. Not only was she super friendly and inviting, she also very efficient and accommodating. I was thrilled with my experience. I have to say we ate quite well during our stay in Clearwater and after leaving somewhere else our first morning with a desire for bacon (that restaurant didn’t serve it), I am so grateful this was where we wound up, and then again and again. PS that bacon, best I’ve had at any restaurant, ever! We must have shared our enjoyment about the great meals, as our friends, texted us a pic, they also went to Salty’s once we left, after our recommendation. I hear the mimosas were pretty great too. Thanks for being apart of a fabulous trip to Clearwater Beach. We’ll certainly be back!!
