Excellent Choice For People Going To The Capitol

If you are going to a show at the Capitol Theater in Clearwater this is a great place to have a pre-show meal. The food was excellent. We sat right opposite the food pick up station and watched the action and it was unbelievably efficient. The Duck Fat Fries were to die for and the Grouper Tacos we great, Two in our party had the surf and turf and loved it and one had the Thai Salad with Salmon and, again loved it. Our waiter was attentive and when we told him we had to be out in an hour for the show, he said: "say no more" and we were out the door an hour after we entered. It doesn't qualify as a place for a romantic quiet evening because the place is really buzzy and the action is fast but considering what it is it deserves 5 stars

Spectacular breakfast, affordable too

I reviewed the dinners, drinks and fun ambience at Clear Sky back before COVID. Taking advantage of one of their specials we checked out their breakfasts this summer. They are so amazing and such a good value even at regular prices we can't resist treating ourselves about once a week. It's still fun and easy whether at an outside table or in the fantastical Garden Room, and their safety precautions and service are spot on.

Wow, what a great place, always loved the menu & ambiance. Apparently a buncha others do too, lol. Parking lot pretty full, we got a spot as someone left, but u can go to library lot too. Walking thru that gorgeous Garden Room always a delight, then we chose outside seating to look at The District. Coupla blocks are all blocked off, lotsa seats & umbrellas, pretty lights, some flowers. Menu as tantalizing as ever, had absolutely to-die-for lobster ravioli, scrumptious! Hubby had bacon wrapped filet w/creamed spinach, loooved it. Then for the birthday dessert was one of their superb cheesecakes, salted caramel. OH MY GOSH, dbl yum. Our great waiter was John, we've had him before. They were really hustlin, all helpin each other too. And to top it all off, we went on BOGO Monday & used our rewards card to earn points. Win win!

Worst customer service. Don’t bother making a reservation because it won’t be honored either!

My husband had planned days in advance by making a reservation for us to celebrate Valentine’s Day at this restaurant. Our reservation was for 8:15pm. When we arrived, approximately 10 mins early, the host (Craigton or something like that) told us he could sit us outside (it’s 48 degrees and he couldn’t even guarantee us near a heater) or we could wait 45 mins for a table inside. Absolutely ridiculous that we wasted time making a reservation to only be offered outdoor seating in 40 degree weather. Worst customer service ever!!! We ended up walking down the street to Tequila’s Mexican restaurant where the food and service were both fabulous. We will definitely go to Tequila’s again but this Clear Sky place will never see our faces again. Shame on you!!!

Justin L. the waiter just ruined what could have been a perfect evening. He was smug and uncaring from the moment we sat down. When the wrong food was brought to half of the table we told him later and his comment was I didn’t bring it. The check was incorrect and he gave a smart answer and then rolled his eyes. The food was great and I would surely go back. If he was my waiter I’d ask for another table or sit at the bar.

Cool restaurant

Hubs and I dined here earlier this evening. The servers and hostess were very friendly and kind. Their menu is huge which makes it difficult to decide but that’s okay. They have a great wine and cocktail menu. Hubs had the Philly Cheesesteak and I had the spinach salad with blackened salmon. Hubs said his sandwich was uniquely enjoyable. I’ve never had blackened salmon, blackened shrimp, scallops, etc yes but never salmon. Oh my gosh! It was AMAZING! My hats off to the chefs. I highly recommend it. Downtown Clearwater restaurant area is truly building. They had tables all out on the sidewalks. Cool atmosphere!

Great place to enjoy fine food for family dinner

My family of five and I ate dinner here with outdoor seating and live music provided. We enjoyed the Chef's surf and turf, Chilean bass, Tacos, and the Cajun seafood pasta entrees...It was a delightful experience in dining out and we hope to return very soon. We have eaten at their other Clear Sky restaurant in Dunedin and so we decided since we liked the food there so much we would give Clear Sky on Cleveland a try...Glad we did!!!!

We ate here before attending the theater. The food was very good and the Smokey Manhattan was unique, but we always like to compliment the waitstaff. Tonight we had the pleasure of meeting Brandon. Although the restaurant was busy, Brandon took the time to allow us to get to know him. What a pleasant young man! He shared his desire to become a teacher, just what two retired teachers love to hear. We wish Brandon success. And if we are ever in Clearwater again we will be sure to visit this restaurant.

So well run!

Always a delight to eat here, & just look at the beautiful lights, decor, & scenery. Many outside tables, most all filled too, much wait staff, good management. Our great waiter was Brandon, yay, had him last time too! I had those PBJ brussels sprouts, biiig order & very tasty. Read about someone's Just Ducky sprouts, hafta try 'em next time, lol. Hubby had wonderful bacon wrapped filet & the best EVER creamed spinach & fancy Romanoff potatoes, far above the norm. Don't forget free dessert on birthday, points on rewards card to get $20 off, & great location to walk around downtown "District". :D

Too many other better choices

Have been to the other two locations but truly disappointed in this one. It's over priced and over rated. I had a sandwich that was supposed to be a pile. It didn't even have a whole slice of corner beef, just some stringy pieces. Someone else had a Cuban and believe me Eddie's on Bayshore has a much better one for the same price.

Don’t Eat My Fries Bro

Worker was eating fries off customer’s plates coming out of kitchen! He would be standing there waiting for his orders and reaching onto other plates on the counter grabbing fries and eating them. Seriously could not believe it! Then there is the cold soup and undercooked rare beef. Not sure what happened because they have a bunch of positive reviews. Maybe just a bad night?

A “Clear” Choice……..

As regular patrons of Clear Sky on Cleveland we’ve always enjoyed the cuisine and service at this location. They clearly have maintained the equation for success with a notable mention of a staff member by the name of Devon who has been a staple in our dining experiences at this restaurant. She hits all of the check boxes when it comes to creating a great dining experience. High quality, friendly service, check. Making sure your order meets your expectations, check. Just being plain old great at what she does, double check. Don’t take my word for it, visit Clear Sky on Cleveland any time and the staff at this establishment will make it well worth your decision to stop by for a bite or drink.

“Cloudy”… not clear

We would first like to say, as a group.. we would never place blame on the server. The manager and the chef at this establishment are to blame. Several times, we said that what they served was not a filet of beef. It kept coming back as this small rib eye of some sort… it was terrible. “Thank you” to our server, it was not her fault. But this restaurant should think about also updating their gratuity cards from 2019?! Yikes… Try another restaurant if you are looking for quality…

Breakfast and dinner:yum

Had breakfast here one morning and dinner the following night. Breakfast was delicious, but they gave me bacon which I didn’t order. They didn’t bring any butter for my pancakes and forgot an order of eggs. Dinner was better than delicious. It was superb. I had the Mexican corn salad with grilled shrimp and the Pb&j sprouts. Both were fantastic. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the salad was fresh. The sprouts were the best I’ve ever had. Never imagined they’d be good with that combo, but they were spot on.

The worst experience

Been going to Clearsky restaurants for a long time. Tonight hands down was the worst of those times! Us 2 sat at the bar and what do you think bartenders would mostly be attentive to, drinks right! We typically spend $150-$200 sitting at the bar. Tonight that wasn’t the case because the 2 female bartenders only cared about what was happening on their phones and conversing about that. Not once did they ask my husband who had one drink between 645p -845p in the 2 hours we sat there watching them going back and forth. There were 8-10 people sitting at the bar and the restaurant wasn’t packed. This is unacceptable service. I’m sure Mr Shouvlin wouldn’t be too happy about this service. In addition, his food (snapper) was undercooked and didn’t taste as good as Clearsky’s quality of foods. Not ever going back!
