This is the second year we visited and we will be back every year. The Cuban sandwich is awesome and so is the Grouper sandwich. The Key Lime Pie was only good to very good this year. Last year I rated it excellent. The service is friendly but if it gets busy it might take awhile to get the check.... More

Our visit had the potential to not be great; our no nonsense waitress wasn't exactly welcoming - gruffly vetoing a couple things listed on the menu when I inquired. However, our meals were very good and the waitress warmed up to us and also gave us a "mistake" omelet that turned out to be quite tasty. I found out there... More

I was on my motorcycle today to see chocolosee for the 20th time wondering where I might find a restaurant to have lunch. As I passed by the post office I noticed other bikes and wondered why there would be so many at the post office. As I passed by I got a whiff of something really good cooking and... More

Finally ordered and then the Waitress after 1/2 hour came to the table to check to see if she had the order correct...1/2 hour later it came WRONG ! Food at best , fair. Had... More

Chokoloskee is one of the most remote places in Florida and this is the place to eat. And what a place!! Lots of tables inside, plus great outdoor garden seating surrounded by chirping birds and peppy waitresses. We loved speaking Spanglish with our waitress when ordering the huge delicious Cuban sandwich and the Cuban-style espresso. But the menu is extensive... More

This is a great breakfast and any time of the day place. The coffee is delicious and the tortillas were very good. This is a small place and you sit outside. In late December it was very pleasant. Getting hungry thinking about those tortillas again! yum yum yum

We make it a point to have dinner at the Havana Cafe at least once a month. The food is amazing. If you like fresh oysters they have some of the best I've ever eaten. You need to reserve a dozen if you go on a Saturday. The Grouper is freshly caught, the pork is wonderful. If you go for... More

Had a couple of really good sandwiches plus drinks for $30. The food was really good and the place is a great setting to have lunch or dinner - lots of trees, bushes, flowers and handpainted decorations enclose the terrace. The service was a bit under par, mainly because there were too many people. On a regular day, I guess... More

My husband and I heard this place highly recommended and decided to try it for breakfast rather than dinner. He got the Cuban Coffee and found it authentic and strong. I got the huevos rancheros, which came with homemade salsa and warm tortillas. They were great! He got the Havana omelet and loved the kick of all the flavors- no... More

What a great luncheon experience we had today. Thanks to a suggestion by a National Park ranger in the Everglades, we drove south past Everglades City to the Havana Cafe. Our service, the venue & the food was exceptional! Highly recommended!
