Stopped in just for an after dinner drink and met the most interesting locals! All very friendly and fun. We found out they farm Little Neck Clams in this area as well as scallops now. The waters are warm and clear of chemicals. The weather allows the clams to mature in one year as opposed to 3 further north. Did... More

The service was good and the food was fairly good. We both had the heart of palm salad which was pretty good. It was a bit strange though with some sort of ice cream as the dressing. The "seasonal fruits just turned out to be mostly melon. I would have expected some tropical fruits to go with the sugared dates... More

We had a wonderful dinner of scallops and fish. The food was fresh, the salad delicious and the tomatoe bisque soup is to die for. After dinner we had the key lime pie. If you have one dessert in cedar key it should be this key lime. Pie. Tart and smooth like silk. The server was friendly, courteous and prompt.... More

Everyone inCedar Key very friendly and the hotel not an exception. Don't recommend the palm salad...served with sherbet which seemed odd. Bar looked like a hoot.

Established in 1859, it's known to be haunted. Dining was semi-casual and food was good, the seafood was much better than the steak. Server was friendly enough. Full bar. Nothing terribly exceptional but worth the experience!

We spent the July 4th weekend here. The hotel is around 153 years old with lots of character. Its within walking distance to restaurants, some shops and golf cart rental places. The owner was friendly and even made us drinks from the bar before the restaurant and bar downstairs were open. The hotel balcony was great for just relaxing and... More

This hotel has a quirky beautiful little bar tucked away on one side. The history of the Neptune painting and all the walls Muriel's is fascinating dating from 1948. Cocktails are generous and the owner is usually in the area for a chat. Their outdoor walled patio is charming and worth taking your drink out to enjoy. They also have... More

We arrived Cedar Key late. Dined in bar as dining room was closed but able to order from full menu - Off Season. Server was pleasant but not ver accommodating; we wanted pasta instead of couscous. Pasta was being served with other entrees and as a matter of fact pasta was more appropriate for both entree orders. We ordered a... More

We had the most wonderful experience at the Island Hotel. We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday and it was just the two of us. The staff made us feel special and really took care of us. We sat on the screened patio which we both enjoyed, feel the breeze and no bugs! We ordered the escargot, heart of palm island... More
